China, the gateway to East Asia, is a fascinating country. It is an ancient civilization that gave the world Peking Man, gunpowder and noodles. Visitors making their first trip to China usually stick to the larger cities. More experienced visitors to the Middle Kingdom will strike out in other directions, where traveling may be a bit more frustrating because of the language barrier, but most definitely doable for independent travelers. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in China:

Tai Mountain –known as the Mountain of the Gods. It’s one of the five most sacred mountains in China. It’s a deeply spiritual place… and very, very crowded.
China’s impressive economic growth has created a middle class with disposable income. Many of China’s 1.3 billion citizens are starting to explore their own country.
To accommodate all those visitors, the government has built a bus system to carry people to the top. And of course, there’s a cable car. But many still choose to climb the stairs – all 7100 of them. It’s 4-7 grueling hours – straight up. Even after all that effort, they’re still cheerful.
Some know exactly what they’re doing. Others may not have thought it completely through. Or chosen to be pretty over practical. Though it’s the parents who deserve a medal. And the older folks never stop.
The goal isn’t just to reach the top – it’s the lovely Chinese inscriptions carved into the mountainside. There are 100 of them in all. But not everyone is here just for the selfies. The monastery at the top is 800 years old. Many come to pray and give offerings. Or ask a Taoist soothsayer to tell your future.
Don’t forget to leave a lock behind - if you can find space. Or tie a red ribbon on a pole or tree. The Gods may grant your wish, especially if you leave a tip.
And of course you’ll want lunch! Tomatoes, corn, cucumbers - not your standard Western fare. No wonder the Chinese are so healthy.
And then it’s time to start back down. You can take a detour off the beaten track as long as you don’t get caught.

Mount Hua (Hua Shan), located in Huayin City (near Xi’an), Shaanxi Province,
has been called the most dangerous mountain in the world since ancient times
and is also the most dangerous of the Five Mountains.
Its southern peak is 2,154.90 meters above sea level, the highest peak of Mount Hua,
and also the highest peak of the Five Mountains. It is also a sacred place
for the mainstream Quanzhen Sect of Taoism in China.
When you come to Mount Hua, you must experience the West Peak Ropeway,
with a total slope length of 4211 meters and a relative height difference of 894 meters,
to feel the thrill and excitement of sitting in the air.
It is the world's first single-line circular off-ramp ropeway that takes the cliff wall
to excavate the chamber station, undulating towards and setting up the middle station.
A total investment of more than 500 million yuan was made in its construction.
The Long Sky Trail is one of the most dangerous attractions of Mount Hua,
located on the east side of the South Peak (the highest peak), with a history of more than 700 years.
It was built by He Zhizhen, the first patriarch of the Huashan Sect in the Yuan Dynasty,
to get away from the world to meditate and become immortal, by inlaying stone nails
and building wooden rafters on the ten-thousand-foot wall.
There are precipitous cliffs and iron ropes hanging from the top and bottom of the stack.
Visitors must wear safety ropes to experience.
In ancient China, high mountains were considered to be higher than the sky and were worshiped as Yue.
The Five Mountains are the five most famous mountains in Chinese traditional culture.
The Five Mountains are Mount Songshan (1492 meters above sea level, Henan Province),
Mount Tai (1545 meters above sea level, Shandong Province), Mount Huashan (2160 meters above sea level),
and Mount Huashan (2160 meters above sea level),
Mount Huashan (2160.5 meters above sea level, Shaanxi Province),
Mount Hengshan (1300.2 meters above sea level, Hunan Province),
and Mount Hengshan (2016.8 meters above sea level, Shanxi Province).

Four Points Tai'an
The Four Points Tai'an offers a swimming pool and a tour desk as well as a business centre, a safe-deposit box and a currency exchange. Tai'an town centre is within a 10 minute drive from the hotel.
The spacious rooms at the Four Points Tai'an include cable / satellite channels, a TV and a mini bar. Each room includes amenities such as an iron and a telephone.
