Our family's first upscale camping experience! (Pinakamurang Glamping?)
(Since we would always have the traditional camping in Boayan Island --- I have previous posts here.)
Tagkawayan Glamping Inn Facility (TGIF) is located on the West Coast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, around 25-30 kilometers away from the City proper.
There's no phone signal on the site but you can connect to their wi-fi at Php30-/hour. All the staffs are very accommodating and are always ready to help you when needed.
Our budget: Php3,500-
Breakdown: Php1k for fuel, Php1k for tent and the rest for food!

Palawan is the largest island of the province of Palawan in the Philippines and the fifth largest island of the country. The north west coast of the #island is along the South China Sea, while the south east coast forms part of the northern limit of the Sulu Sea. Puerto Princesa is located in the midsection of Palawan Island. It is bound to the east by the Sulu Sea, to the west iby the South China Sea, to the north by the municipalities of San Vicente and Roxas, and to the south by the municipality of Aborlan.
Puerto Princesa is the 2nd most popular holiday destination in the province, behind El Nido. Recognised as the cleanest and greenest city in the Philippines, the capital of Palawan offers a pleasant urban environment nestled in splendid natural surroundings that include great beaches and pristine forested hills.
Puerto Princesa is the main arrival hub by plane and ferry to Palawan Island. Manila is about an hour-long flight away. If you are the person who loves islands and beaches this video is just the right sight for you.
Spanish Colonizers founded the settlement on 4 March 1872 in the course of their exploration of the province. As they scanned the Palawan shoreline for a capital site, they came upon a hill with steep declivity. Rowing to shore, they surveyed the hill and discovered an extensive plateau which they decided as ideal for settlement.
Soon after, Fr. Antonio Muro levelled a portion of the hill to make way for a chapel. (That section is now occupied by the Catholic Cathedral, the P.C. Barracks and the Rizal Park. The Old Municipal Building used to be there, as well as an Elementary School). The first mass celebrated in Puerto Princesa took place at a site where a marker now stands.
In May 1872, the Port of Puerto Princesa became the center of Spanish Naval Operations in the area because the Bay met all the Navy’s requirements. Royal Decrees later provided incentives to settlers, and by 1883 the settlement had flourished into a town of twelve roads, a hospital and well-built port.
In 1894, Puerto Princesa was recognized by government authorities as one of the most beautiful towns in the country by virtue of the orderly distribution of streets, buildings and houses as well as the cleanliness of the community.

The Palawan Butterfly Garden is located outside Puerto Princesa. Constructed to educate visitors about butterflies, the netted enclosure also had fascinating insect exhibits. If you've ever had a hankering to hold a scorpion, this is the place. Eeww.... But never handle or touch a centipede! A glass tank held one of these poisonous centipedes, a fast and agile predator.
We took tour B during our holiday in El nido.
It was a sad day to say Good bye to El Nido.
This trip we went after 3 days of our time in El Nido. It was such a great memories for us to explore all those islands and the lagoons in this area.
After we went to the island trips we decided to go on a little drive journey around the mountain sights. Driving along side of the bandy roads. Magical Views.
When the journey was done then we took our next destination to Pourto Pricasa.

Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world's top destinations for relaxation. It is also emerging among the top destinations for tranquility and nightlife.
In 2017, Boracay was awarded as the best island in the world from the international travel magazine Travel + Leisure.

For many visitors of Nagtabon Beach, they sometimes called the beach as “virgin beach”. No commercial shops, resort cottages and facilities, and even tourists. But the secluded ambiance of the beach makes up for its bare surroundings. Unspoiled and undamaged beach, cool and fresh air, the chirping of the birds, and the solemn of the place – are all enough to have a total relaxation.
You can reach Nagtabon by tricycle (500/600 php) or motorcycle from Puerto Princesa (about an hour drive). Its also located on the main road to reach Sabang underground river, also worth a visit!

Talaudyong Beach is located at Barangay Bacungan, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. This beach is 38km away from the city proper. Summer Season is the best time to go here because there are no sea grass that washed-up to the shore. Residents of Sitio Talaudyong says that Talaudyong beach is safe because it has no abrupt change on the sea floor.

PUBLIC BEACH | PUERTO PRINCESA PALAWAN
This is how a normal public beach in Puerto Princesa looks like. And this place is only about 10 minutes ride from the City proper. The City life in Puerto Princesa is far way different from other cities in the world. Here, you can spend your normal day by going to the beach, soak in the water or simply just feel the nature. Palawan is known as the Philippines last frontier and that explains why nature is being taken cared of by the local government. There are no factories or any kind of processing plants that emit pollution smokes or carbon. Strict policies are being implemented both in the land and the seas. Cutting of tress without proper permits can send you straight to jail. The same goes with using dynamite as a method of fishing.
