~MALTA~ Pieta, Msida & Tax- Xbiex

Hi everyone :) Today we are exploring the seaside villages of Pieta, Msida and Tax- Xbiex. We start at Pieta in-front of the parish church of Our Lady of Fatima on Gwardamanga hill, go down the main road near the historic chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. Then we go along the coast and arrive at Msida. We check out the marina, go in the parish church of St Joseph and then set of the Tax- Xbiex where we saw a traditional Maltese bus, beautiful sea view villas and end near the Black Pearl restaurant. Hope you enjoyed :)

What's This Channel About: It started as a travel diary, as a way to share our experiences with our friends and family. A wider audience took an interest in my videos and things just grew from there. I'm trilled at the idea that people on Youtube may get something out of my videos and I love to connect with people who are like minded and enjoy travel as much as we do. Why We Love To Travel: As a young adult I was always too busy working to take vacations. My mindset was fixed on building a successful business and this was always justified by telling myself that I'd travel once I'd made my fortunes. By the time I was 30 years old I'd only been on two overseas vacations and did not think I was missing out. Roll forward to 2015, my good lady finally convinced me to book a stay at an all inclusive resort in Fuerteventura. It was an amazing experience and I was instantly bitten by the travel bug and now want to see loads of different places and travel as much as we can. How frequently Do you Travel : As frequently as possible, currently around seven times per year. We have committments at home meaning we need to fit our travel plans in around everyday life. Why Are We Not On Camera: These videos are about the places, adventures, experiences and destinations. The videos are not about me / us - I'm not a TV presenter and I have absolutely not desire to be in front of the camera. Whilst not adverse to being on camera it's just not what our videos are about at the moment. What's in our kitbag: Canon SX540, Canon SX510, various GoPro cameras including the Hero 3 Hero 4 Black and the Hero 5 Black plus a Nextbase Dashcam and Samsung and Apple cameraphones. Our Favorite Places 2 Go Travel: Canary Islands, especially Lanzarote & Fuerteventura are big favourites with us because of the near year round sun and relaxing vibes. ===================================================== Cameras: GoPro 3, 4 Hero, Canon Powershot SX510 & SX540 Editing: Cyberlink PowerDirector, Windows Movie Maker ===================================================== You must ask for my permission to use content from this channel Travel Safe! Must See Places in Malta| Travel guide Malta| Valleta city| Blue lagoon| Island hopping| Gozo| Mdina

Welcome to Cross the Countries

In todays video, we'll explore Malta, the beautiful island nation in the Mediterranean Sea that is known for its rich history, culture, and natural beauty. There are many places to visit that showcase the best of Malta

Valletta: This is the capital city of Malta and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's known for its well-preserved 16th-century architecture, including the impressive St. John's Co-Cathedral, which houses Caravaggio's masterpiece painting The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist.

Mdina: Known as the silent city , Mdina is an ancient fortified city located in the center of Malta. It's known for its narrow, winding streets, beautiful architecture, and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

The Megalithic Temples of Malta: These are some of the oldest free-standing structures in the world, predating even the Egyptian pyramids. The Structures date from the period 3600-2500 BC, when the descendants of the first inhabitants built a series of temples on the island

Blue Lagoon: The Blue Lagoon is a picturesque bay located on the island of Comino, between Malta and Gozo. It's known for its crystal clear waters and beautiful scenery, making it a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing.

The Hal Saflieni Hypogeum: This is an underground temple complex that dates back to around 4000 BC. This is the worlds oldest underground temple

The Citadel: The Citadel is a fortress located in Victoria, Gozo. It's known for its well-preserved fortifications, beautiful views, and the impressive Cathedral of the Assumption.

The Azure Window: The Azure Window is a natural arch located on the island of Gozo. It's a popular spot for swimming, diving, and taking in the stunning views of the surrounding coastline. Azure Window crashed into the ocean in 2017, still it remains a popular diving destination

The Red Tower: The Red Tower is a 16th-century fortification located in Birgu, on the island of Malta. It's known for its beautiful views of the surrounding area and its well-preserved architecture.

These are just a few examples of the many places to visit in Malta. There is plenty more to see and explore on this small island, from ancient landmarks to natural beauty and from cultural heritage to modern attractions.

Malta is a popular tourist destination and peak season can be very busy. It's a good idea to plan your trip outside of peak season to avoid the crowds and high prices. it's best to plan your trip in advance to ensure you have a place to stay and can book any activities or tours you want to do.

Malta is a cash-based society, so it's a good idea to have some cash on hand, but most places will accept credit cards as well. Malta is a small island with a lot to see and do, so it's important to research your destination and plan your itinerary accordingly. Thanks for watching!
