Stockholm is the capital and largest city of Sweden, with nearly 2 million inhabitants within its vicinities. The inner city is made up of 14 islands connected by some 50 bridges on Lake Mälaren, which flows into the brackish Baltic Sea, and passes the Stockholm archipelago with some 24,000 islands and islets. Stockholm is a cosmopolitan place with both classical and modern architecture, and a captivating Old Town, Gamla Stan.
Despite its northern location, Stockholm has fairly mild temperatures throughout the year. As a result of its northerly latitude, the city sees a dramatic seasonal variation in sunlight, from more than 18 hours of daylight around midsummer, to around 6 hours of daylight in late December.
Storstockholms Lokaltrafik, SL (Stockholm Public Transport) runs an extensive subway, commuter train and bus system as well as some light rail and ferry services, all using an integrated ticket system called SL Access. Stockholm has a metro system called the Tunnelbana, commonly abbreviated T-bana, and symbolised with a blue T on a round white sign. With exactly 100 stations, it is extensive for a city of this size, and will get you around almost all the downtown places as well as many inner suburbs.

Gribbylund is part of a very old village in Täby municipality. The name Gribbylund is taken from the formerly very significant farm Gribby Gård (the name Gribbylund, however, has very old origins), which with its large holdings was one of Täby's largest. However, the areas around Gribbylund are very poor in older ancient monuments and this has its main reason in that Gribbylund has been under water for a long time. However, there are ancient monuments in the area but these are concentrated in higher places such as Löttingelund and Rönninge village.
Gribbylund's farm was purchased as early as 1919 by Gribbylund's Christian detached house association, which slowly but surely cut the farm's fields and forests into attractive plots. The plots were bought mainly as summer cottage plots by well-to-do Stockholmers, often linked to some free church organization. This led to Gribbylund quickly becoming a very Christian tradition and in 1937 the first alliance chapel was built in Gribbylund. The Alliance Chapel was an ecumenical church but mainly run by the Salvation Army. The plots near Gribbylund's farm and Viggbyholm's station were the first to be built on, but after a while the buildings spread further and further west and north. Due to the fact that the Roslagsbanan was never drawn to Gribbylund, bus traffic was instead intense and already in the 1920s, the first Gribbylund buses began to run.
After the alliance chapel was built and further into the 1940s, more and more people began to build year-round housing in Gribbylund and many moved here permanently. Gribbylunds gård's farm was completely closed down and a primary school was started in the old main building instead. The biggest wave of construction came in the 1980s and 90s when most of the old summer cottage plots were bought up and converted into villa and terraced house plots. The smaller center facility, Gribbylund's center, was built in the 1980s and a modern school was also built next to the old school. The Alliance Chapel was taken over by the Church of Sweden, which also built a preschool next to the chapel.

Hägernäs omnämns, vad man vet, första gången som Hegrenes 1549[1], uppkallat efter de hägrar som häckade vid Stora Värtan. Vid den tiden var det en by med två gårdar som hette Norrgården och Södergården[1]. Bönderna i Hägernäs var arrendatorer åt ägaren av säteriet Rydboholms slott, som ägdes av Sture-ätten och senare Vasa-ätten under 1400-1500-talen.
Under 1700-talet fanns en vattenkvarn i Hägernäs. Folket på Hägernäs rodde in till Stockholm för att hämta stadsbornas tvätt. Stationen Hägernäs, på Roslagsbanan mellan Viggbyholm och Rydbo, invigdes 1917. Från 2021 blir Arninge station närmaste station norrut.
Adresserna i Hägernäs har koppling till områdets unika militära historia från eran då Roslagens flygflottilj huserade i området åren 1919–1945 och sedermera hade militär aktivitet fram till 1974 genom Roslagens flygkår; bland annat Radarvägen, Pontongränd och Flygvillevägen
Lövbrunna - Täby Vinter 2021 Sweden
Lövbrunna är ett glesbebyggt villaområde i kommundelen Broby, Täby kommun, mellan Vallatorp och Bergtorpsvägen med en tillbyggnadsplan på cirka 125 bostäder. Om man ser in mot området från Täbyvägen så finns där ett antal hus men ser mer ut som ett nybyggt lantområde. Detaljplanen lämnar även plats för en förskola samt ett antal arbetsplatser längs Bergtorpsvägen.[1] 2003, innan husen byggdes i Lövbrunna, genomfördes en arkeologisk utredning av Lövbrunna. Då upptäckte man stenröjda områden som tolkades som fossila åkermarker. Dessutom hittades boplatslämningar från yngre bronsåldern och från äldre järnåldern.
Täby Centrum Torget Sommar 2020 Sweden
Täby urban center alias Täby centrum is the commercial and administrative center for Täby municipality in Stockholm region. It is also a regional transport hub. The urban center is defined by four streets, namely: Biblioteks Gången, Gustaf Bergs Väg, Stora Marknardsvägen, and Attundavägen.#TäbyCentrum
Täby urban center was opened for business in 1968, and has undergone some physical expansion since then. It is a private/public sector investment that is owned jointly by Unibail-Rodamco and Täby municipality.
Spatially, Täby urban center's main spatial features are huge shopping center complex, two squares, commuter train station, and regional bus terminal. These spatial features are confined within Biblioteks Gången, Gustaf Bergs Väg, Stora Marknardsvägen, and Göran Elgfelts Gata. Some few commercial outlets and public buildings are located between Attundavägen and another street called Göran Elgfelts Gata. The urban center is well linked to surrounding residential areas and beyond by a system of pedestrian and bicycle ways through under/overpasses at some points.
We will now describe the above mentioned main spatial features of the urban center and their spatial organization. We begin with the shopping center complex.
Accommodating over 245 shops, cafes, and restaurants, as well as banks, some offices, and other commercial outlets, on an over 78 000 square meters of floor area, Täby shopping center complex is definitely one of Sweden's largest shopping centers.
In strict urban design terms, the shopping center complex is an arcade complex alias galleria. As such, through out in this article, it will be referred to simply as arcade complex. It has three floors with a glass roof. The latter provides sunlight into the arcade complex making shopping in there rather exciting experience especially during the dark winter time.
The arcade complex consists of intersecting malls that are bounded by continuous mass of urban solids that entail various types of commercial outlets. The malls are well furnished with smooth floors, ample seating places, electronic advertising boards, trash bins, plants and flowers in pots/beds, etc.
Spatially linked to the arcade complex by several of the complex's main entrances, are the two squares, one large and the other small.
The large square, namely Täby Square alias Täby torg, is located on the southwest side of Täby urban center. It is bounded continuous mass of urban solids belonging to the arcade complex on three sides, and Göran Elgfelts Gata on one side. The bounding mass of urban solids consist of, among others, some restaurants and cafes that have outdoor serving areas facing the square. Also.three of the arcade complex's main entrances faces the square.
Täby Square is well furnished with a colorful large children playing area and a fountain as its primary outfitting. Other outfitting include the following.
1) Trees and shrubs in fixed large planting beds. Circular edges of the beds also serve as seating places
2) Seating places under sun-umbrellas
3) Contemporary pure form seating places
4) Ample bicycle parking places
5) Dark steel and glass sheds that provide access to a large car park under the square
6) Black and cream white smooth floor that virtually matches the colors of the walls of bounding arcade complex, etc.
Täby Square has high utilization levels during the day especially on weekends. Spatial activities include, among others, the following: walking, passing through, sitting, talking, eating, children playing, reading, and even lying down on long pure form seating places.
The small square is situated on the northeast side of Täby urban center. To the largest extent, it is a transit urban space for commuters and other users to and from the arcade complex and the transport hub. Because of this spatial role, the square may be referred to as a plaza by some observers. The concepts of square and plaza mean the same thing and as such are often used interchangeably. However, when associated with modes of transport or individual buildings, the concept of plaza may be given preference.
Like the small square, the commuter train station and the regional bus terminal that constitute the regional transport hub is located on the northeast side of Täby urban center. These facilities of the two modes of transport are efficiently and conveniently linked by the small square, and a roofed steel and glass pedestrian overpass that spans from commuter train station to the arcade complex. Users from the station using the overpass can move on to the regional bus terminal through one of the arcade complex's main entrances that faces the small square.
This video presents observer spatial experience of Täby urban center, that begins from the commuter train station
