The Basilica of San Prospero is an ancient church in central Reggio Emilia, Italy. A church at the site, known as San Prospero di Castello, located inside the city walls, is known prior to 997. The church and its adjacent bell tower underwent reconstructions. In 1514, the church which was in ruins, was demolished and a new design by Luca Corti and Matteo Florentino was erected by 1527. Minor chapels were added till 1543, when the basilica was reconsecrated. Major changes to the belltower were designed by Cristoforo Ricci and Giulio Romano in 1536-1570.
The facade of the church had been left incomplete till it was completed in 1748-1753 using designs of Giovanni Battista Cattani. While the statues on the facade are contemporary with Cattani's design, on the dais in front of the church are placed six lions (1501), sculpted in rose-colored marble by Gaspare Bigi, and meant to be bases for columns of a portico that had been planned for the church front.
The interior has works of art by Giovanni Giarola, Michelangelo Anselmi, Denis Calvaert, Ludovico Carracci, and Tommaso Laureti. It has altarpieces by Alessandro Tiarini and Francesco Stringa. Sculptors whose work is in the church include Bartolomeo Spani (Tomb of Rufino Gabloneta (1527) over the entrance) and Prospero Spani (il Clemente), who sculpted a Madonna on the right transept. The presbytery has a picture cycle by Camillo Procaccini and Bernardino Campi. The apse is frescoed with a Last Judgment by Procaccini.
The Chapel of the Pratonero family in this church once held the painting by Correggio of the Nativity (La Notte) (1522), which now is found in the Dresden Gallery. In 1640, the painting was absconded from the chapel by the Dukes of Modena for their private collection, a sacrilege which generated a local uproar. A copy made in replacement.

Ferrara - Emilia Romagna
Ferrara is a city and comune in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy, capital city of the Province of Ferrara. It is situated 50 km north-northeast of Bologna, on the Po di Volano, a branch channel of the main stream of the Po River, located 5 km north. The town has broad streets and numerous palaces dating from the 14th century and 15th century, when it hosted the court of the House of Este. For its beauty and cultural importance it has been qualified by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. Modern times have brought a renewal of industrial activity. Ferrara is on the main rail line from Bologna to Padua and Venice, and has branches to Ravenna, Poggio Rusco (for Suzzara) and Codigoro. In 2006, due to its important historical significance, Ferrara became the headquarters of the Italian Hermitage Museum, as the result be the fifth city in the world to have linked his name with the Russian museum. ALn 668 col Treno del Mare Cremona-Pesaro nel 2010
Prima parte di un video del 13 luglio 2010, col 'viaggetto' per andare a visitare il Museo Ferroviario di Rimini (che sarà il video con la seconda parte, con i preziosi rotabili storici del Museo Ferroviario di Adriavapore, Associazione Treni Storici Emilia Romagna, guidato dallo squisito Presidente Giuseppe Giovannelli.). Visto che la Freccia Orobica Bergamo-Pesaro quest' anno è diventata ... elettrica, parto dunque da Cremona (alle 5 e 10 del mattino) con il Treno del Mare Cremona-Pesaro che è ancora 'a diesel' con le gloriose trappulelle ALn 668 della ex FSF Ferrovia Suzzara Ferrara, ora FER Ferrovie Emilia Romagna.
Nel viaggio di oggi, in testa la trappulella ALn 668 017 Fiat Ferroviaria anno 1979, incontrerò tanti rotabili. Cito: D 445, tante ALn 668 (1013, 1224, 1206, 3148, 06 ER) e pure ALn 663, Ln 880 034, Ln 664 (26, 28), M 52 Ganz, GR 851 043, D 220 (041, 049, 11 ER), De 145, ATR 220 Pesa (035 e 028), ALn 773 OM FP, De 424 TIBB, E 640 103 FSF, ex 342 sloveno ... e tante curiosità
Cito anche le stazioni riprese durante il percorso da Cremona a Rimini: Piadena, Bozzolo,Marcaria, Castellucchio, Mantova (dove salutiamo il grande amico Beppe Ghisolfi, macchinista DOC), il ponte su Po dopo Borgoforte, Suzzara, Pegognaga, San Benedetto Po dove staziona il magnifico Ganz M 52, Quistello, Schivenoglia, Poggio Rusco, Sermide (... quanti ricordi ...), Felonica,Bondeno, il fiume Panaro ed il vecchio ponte ferroviario) ,Vigarano, Ferrara (col terzo regresso della giornata!), Galbanella, Portomaggiore, Argenta, S. Biagio (transitando), Lavezzola, Voltana, Alfonsine, Mezzano, Ravenna, Lido di Classe Lido di Savio, Cervia, Cesenatico, Gatteo, Bellaria,Igea Marina, Torre Pedrera, Viserba e ... compare il grattacielo di Rimini.

Il Sistema di Controllo della Marcia Treno (in sigla SCMT) è un sistema di controllo ferroviario che ha il compito di mantenere sotto vigilanza elettronica il comportamento del personale di macchina (PdM) dei treni in base all'aspetto dei segnali ferroviari, alla velocità massima consentita sul tratto di linea che si percorre, alla velocità massima ammessa per quel treno stesso e ad altri parametri con ad esempio il grado di frenatura della linea o la capacità di frenatura del treno stesso, nonché a rallentamenti temporanei di tratti di linea.
FRECCIABIANCA
Frecciabianca (sigla FB) è una categoria di servizio dei treni dell'impresa ferroviaria italiana Trenitalia che, a partire dal cambio di orario del dicembre 2011, ha sostituito la categoria Eurostar City Italia (introdotta a partire dal 10 dicembre 2006) inserendosi nella famiglia delle Frecce, rilevandone materiale rotabile, tipologia di servizio e parte delle tratte. Già a partire dal 2010, i treni di categoria Eurostar City avevano ricevuto il nome complementare Frecciabianca, diventato poi proprio della categoria di servizio.
I servizi Frecciabianca sono generalmente effettuati con convogli di carrozze Gran Comfort e UIC-Z1 ristrutturate, mossi da una coppia di locomotive E414 in doppia trazione simmetrica o con elettrotreni ETR 460, ETR 463 ed ETR 470.
Con l'introduzione della categoria Frecciabianca, le carrozze e le locomotive E414 hanno ricevuto una livrea specifica, tale da renderle facilmente riconoscibili. Alle locomotive succitate si sono aggiunte progressivamente 38 locomotive E.402B, insieme alle carrozze pilota Z1.
A livello di tariffe e percorrenze i FB si pongono come una categoria intermedia fra gli InterCity ed i treni in servizio Alta Velocità (Frecciargento e Frecciarossa).
La velocità dei Frecciabianca ordinari e degli ETR 470 è limitata a 200 km/h a causa della velocità massima raggiungibile dal materiale rotabile, mentre i Frecciabianca ETR 460 viaggiano alla velocità massima di 250 km/h.
Le relazioni Frecciabianca sono effettuate con composizioni differenti: complessi di carrozze inquadrate da coppie di locomotive E414; elettrotreni ETR 460, ETR 463 ed ETR 470.
