VISITING SWITZERLAND'S MOST REMOTE VILLAGE | HIKE ACROSS SWITZERLAND EP. 15
This is episode 15 of my hike across Switzerland.
As I continue my hike across Switzerland I come across the most remote village of the country. Kids living there need to get a ferry in the morning to be able to go to school as there is no road leading to the village.
Overall this is one of the best sections I've done so far. I walk along Walen Lake and get amazing views towards the Alps.

BERN, MONTREUX & LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND: DAY 3 | TRAVEL VLOG | SWISS SERIES
Hi Guys and welcome to this episode 3 of my Swiss series. This vlog showcases my journey from firstly from Zurich to Bern visiting the Rose Garden and Parliament building and then a walking tour in the old town of Bern. Thereafter I visited the beautiful Montreux Riviera by the lake side which is so picturesque and popular where people come by to relax and enjoy a walk in the Riviera. Finally from Montreux I visited Lausanne, again a beautiful lake side area where I stayed for the night at the Movenpick Hotel which is just by the lake. After showing around the lake area, I had a walking tour of Lausanne town and dinner at one of restaurants close to the train station of Lausanne and then back to the hotel. Zurich Airport Tour | Switzerland Travel Guide & Living With a German
Here's my Zurich Airport Tour where I tell you all about WiFi at the airport and how you can withdraw money and get it exchanged. Also, my first stop in Switzerland is Haag where I am Couchsurfing at a German’s house. Here's what I figured out on my first day in Switzerland.

???? There's Free WiFi at Zurich International Airport
Zurich Airport offers free Wi-Fi for 4 hours that you can connect using any number that is capable of receiving a message. Since my Jio and Airtel both receive incoming messages outside INDIA, I could use them to access free Wi-Fi.
Once your 4 hours are up, the WiFi can only be used after 7 hours after it has reset for your number.
???? ATM Withdrawal and Exchange in Zurich
You will find a Currency Exchange counter when you are picking up your bags at Zurich Airport. However, the price they will charge is quite higher.
I would recommend you to use an ATM outside the airport (at The Circle Shopping Mall). There are many ATMs available here, Credit Suisse being one of those that don’t charge an ATM transaction fee.
????️ The Circle Shopping Mall (Opposite Zurich Airport)
Outside Zurich Airport, there is a shopping center where you can spend some time before departure from Zurich or after arriving here. There are many restaurants and food joints available here along with washrooms, grocery stores, shops, and more,
Plus, there are sockets available to charge your phone in the shopping center as well. You will also find trams and trains from this center that go to other parts of the city of Switzerland.
????Using Trains to Travel around Switzerland
One of the best ways to travel around Switzerland is by using the train. The train station is located below the shopping center from where you can board a train in any direction.
There is a self-service kiosk and ticket counter available here from where you can purchase the train ticket if you haven’t already bought it or if you don’t have a Eurail pass.
From Zurich HBF station, I took a direct train to Buchs SG which took around 3 hours and offered some stunning scenery to enjoy.
???? Short Tour of Grabs, Switzerland
Once I reached Buchs SG, my host picked me up and took me to a nearby small town named Grabs. This town had its own castle that was built in the 1200s and offers a serene and gorgeous landscape that one could enjoy.
???? Short Glimpse of Vaduz, Liechtenstein
After settling down in my host’s house, we made our way to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. It’s a 20-minute car ride from where I was staying and is a small, quiet town.
From Vaduz, you can get buses to reach other parts of the country and can even get information from the Information Center located here. There is also a Vaduz Castle which can be reached by a short hike.

This beautiful walk after the first snow in Zürich starts at Bahnhofstrasse - Zurich's main downtown street and one of the world's most expensive and exclusive shopping avenues with it`s amazing Christmas Lights. We walk along the medieval Augustinergasse and stroll through Zurichs Old Town. After crossing the Christmas Market at Fraumünster Square we continue our walk to Paradeplatz. We continue our walk over the Limmat River and pass Grossmünster Cathedral. We walk towards Lindenhof Hill with it's stunning views over the university quarter and end our December walk at the Central Rail Station - Zürich HB.
