Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia 2023 | Port El Kantaoui Tunisia attractions & things to do (4K UHD)

Port El Kantaoui is a beautiful resort 10 km from Sousse and 25 km from Monastir Airport in central Tunisia. It was built in 1979 specifically as a tourist centre, around a large artificial harbour that provides mooring with 340 berths for luxury yachts.
With its laid-back charm and stylish vibe, this Tunisian resort is perfect for holidaymakers seeking ultimate relaxation. The architecture has been modelled on the more traditional buildings in Tunisia, complete with narrow streets and arches decorated with beautiful flowers.
Port El Kantaoui is surrounded by dozens of luxury hotels, restaurants, cafes and shops for foreign tourists who frequent the site for its seven kilometres long beach. The beach is one of the best in Tunisia and is covered with soft white sand.
The area around the harbour is stylized as a fishing village. Fringed by nice houses with white walls decorated with wooden balconies and colourful flowers, the marina is home to hundreds of craft, from traditional fishing boats to ultra-luxe yachts. It’s a fab spot to watch the world go by, with chilled-out cafés and bars aplenty, and the sweeping headlands offer gorgeous views of the romantic sunsets.
In the evening, Port El Kantaoui shows its other side. The illuminated harbour, the large and small ships swaying in the water, the restaurants that have something to offer for every taste, and the nightlife in the bars & discos that exude an exotic atmosphere.
Because of all the above, Port El Kantaoui has established itself as one of the elite Tunisian resorts.

In this video, we take you on a journey to the coastal city of Sousse, located in the beautiful country of Tunisia. Our adventure begins with a 300 km bus ride from the capital city of Tunis to Sousse, where we check into a hotel located in the beach area. From there, we embark on a guided tour of the city, exploring its rich history and culture.

Our first stop is the iconic Ribat of Sousse, a large, fortressed religious complex built in the 8th century as a defensive structure against the Byzantine Empire. Sousse Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Sousse in Tunisia.
A mighty wall surrounds the Medina, the old part of the Tunisian city of Sousse, whose fortifications date back to the 9th century. They were built by the Aghlabides who were strongly influenced by Islam. There is a remarkable gate at the northern edge of the Medina. It is the entrance to the Ribat, an impressive fortress that was built by the Aghlabides in the 10th century. This military building was very similar to a monastery in which Islamic interests dominated the actions of the Ribat’s „Warrior Monks.“ The history of Sousse has been influenced by many different countries and cultures. Carthagian, Roman and even Byzantine influences can be found in the city. Its convenient location, coastline and fertile countryside created a prosperous trading and commercial centre, making Sousse the main metropolis of the Sahel. Stretching out onto the highest point of the Medina is the impressive fortress, the Kasbah, that was built on the foundations of a Byzantine castle and today contains an important museum. Thanks to its special location, Sousse has always fascinated visitors with its rich variety of atmospheric, historical impressions. Thankfully, and despite its warlike past, the Medina of Sousse has been able to preserve most of its original character.
