Part 163 - Cycling the 3346m Moldo Ashuu Pass to Song Kul - World Cycle Tour - 2018
Saturday 25th August.
Cycling the 3343m Moldo Ashuu Pass to Song Kul.
Today we broke our previous record and climbed the Moldo Ashuu Pass to Song Kul. We were not sure if it would be possible to cycle up at all and had contemplated taking a lift. However, by lunchtime, we were already at 2800m altitude and had the summit in our sights. We then continued to the summit and arrived by late afternoon.
Then it was time for a short celebration and enjoyable ride to the beautiful lake Song Kul. We were dreaming of staying at a Yurt Camp and were extremely pleased to find they had a Yurt Tent for us. We will stay here a day or two to enjoy the surroundings and atmosphere at this 3000m lake.

Synopsis : Dans cet épisode d'Humanité, le thème est la déconnexion avec la société de consommation et avec nos technologies de tous les jours. Pendant une semaine à travers le Kirghizistan, j'amène le photographe Steven Herteleer dans ce pays d'Asie centrale avec pour but : faire confiance aux inconnus, se déplacer en stop, dormir chez l'habitant et tenter de trouver les derniers nomades qui résistent au début de l'hiver. Un voyage qui nous pousse à réfléchir sur nous-même et sur notre manière de voyager, mais surtout, un voyage qui nous permet de revenir aux fondamentaux en vivant à 1000% l'instant présent. Embarquez avec nous pour une aventure inoubliable !

Ребята, всем привет.
В этом выпуске мы впервые повстречаем добрых Киргизких гаишников, очень жаль что таких встречаются единицы.

Kırgızistan'ın başkenti Bişkek'te ayrılma ve Oş'a doğru yola çıkma zamanı geldi!
Bu videoda önce Bişkek'teki Atatürk heykelini ziyaret edeceğiz. Ardından yine yolu olmayan yollara girecek ve biraz dönüp dolaşacağız. Sonrasında ise yapımı Soğuk Savaş yıllarına dayanan, 3586 metrelik Too Ashuu geçidine doğru yol alacağız. Döne dolana giden rampaları tırmanacak, ailesi Ahıska'dan sürgün gelen bir Meydanbek ile tanışacağız. En sonunda ise 2 kamyonun yan yana geçemediği Sovyet Tüneli Too Ashuu'dan geçeceğiz.
