Viaggiare è un sogno di tutti, ma ci siamo mai fermati a chiederci come questo sia possibile?
Raggiungere posti lontani e remoti oggi risulta cosi semplice ma non è sempre stato così.
L’uomo ha dovuto affrontare una vera propria sfida ma alla fine ha trovato il mezzo: L’ aereo!
Oggi vi portiamo a scoprire questa meravigliosa sfida dalle origini, siamo a Volandia, Parco e Museo dedicato al SOGNO DEL VOLO!
Situato a fianco dell'aeroporto internazionale di Malpensa, a dieci minuti a piedi dal Terminal 1 e dalla stazione del Malpensa Express, a soli 30 minuti da Milano.
Composto da ben 11 aree tematiche sia interne che esterne a Volandia si percorre la storia del volo dalle origini fino alla conquista dello spazio, lungo un percorso espositivo di oltre 2 km.
Si comincia Partendo dal primo volo fatto dal biplano della ditta Caproni nel 1910 e da qui ci si immerge in questo fantastica storia.
A Volandia l’ esperienza è possibile toccarla con mano, infatti potrete salire su alcuni dei veicoli presenti…
Come su in vero DC 3, oppure salire sull’ aereo su cui è salito il Santo Padre o dove è stata portata la coppa del mondo vinta dall’ Italia nei mondiali dell’82 .
Salire su elicotteri e veri mezzi di soccorso.
Potrete provare anche l’ esperienza di pilotare un aereo o un elicottero attraverso il simulatore di volo.
Oppure andare indietro nel tempo e rivivere lo sbarco del’ uomo sulla luna.
E addirittura scoprire grazie a una bilancia particolare quale sarebbe il vostro peso sulla luna e su Marte.
Un luogo adatto a tutti grandi e piccoli, per trascorrere una giornata all insegna della passione e del divertimento!!

Places to see in ( Milan - Italy ) Palazzo Clerici
Palazzo Clerici was the home of the wealthy and influential Milanese noble family of the Clerici , and is located in Milan , in the homonymous street, called in the seventeenth century Contrada del prestino dei Bossi. In the eighteenth century the ancient manor house was completely modified by the Marquis Anton Giorgio Clerici (1715-1768) who made it one of the most sumptuous mansions of Milan at the time, with the construction of the famous Galleria degli Arazzi frescoed on the vault by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo in 1741 .
The structure of the palace was built in the seventeenth century on a property of the family Visconti of Somma Lombardo , from which it was sold by mid-century to Clerici, after a number of the existing building renovations. The Clerici family, originally from Como, had been the protagonist of a rapid social rise, thanks to the huge capital accumulated with the activities of silky trade and the loan to usury. Giorgio Clerici (1648-1736, who was also the builder of the famous Villa Carlotta on Lake Como ) had become part of the Milanese nobility, with the titles of Marquis of Cavenago , Lord of Cuggiono and Trecate .
In 1722, just seven years of age, Anton Giorgio Clerici, following the death of his father and grandfather, inherited the title of Marquis, becoming the sole heir of the entire fortune accumulated by the family, among the major of the Milan of the time. Following the marriage with Fulvia Visconti in 1733, the Marquis began an important campaign of work in the family palace, involving some of the most prominent artists including Mattia Bortoloni , Pietro Maggi , Giovan Angelo Borroni . According to the prevailing custom in Milan, little attention was paid to the facade of the building, for which the modest prospect was still visible on the narrow Via Clerici, while great attention was devoted to the rich interior decoration. The result of the long decorative campaign was a series of rooms covered with frescoes, stuccoes, tapestries, golds, inlays that were one of the greatest examples of the Rococo style in Milan.
The most important intervention of the embellishment campaign took place in the forties of the eighteenth century with the commission of the most successful artist on the scene, Giambattista Tiepolo , of the fresco in the Galleria degli Arazzi. The painter at the time was in Milan engaged in the frescoes of the chapels of the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio , and had already worked for the grandfather of the Marquis Clerici, Carlo Archinto, for which he had realized the important cycle of frescoes in the family palace, destroyed during the Second World War. The realization of the fresco took place following a long design phase, evidenced by numerous studies partly received. The complexity of the work was partly due to the configuration of the environment, narrow but extremely long (5 meters wide and 22 long) . In the vault is represented the race of the chariot of the Sun among the gods of Olympus , surrounded by the Allegories of the four Continents and the Allegories of the Arts .
In 1768 , at the death of Giorgio Antonio Clerici, the patrimony of the Milanese family was however almost completely dilapidated by the expenses incurred for the construction of the building and the same house in 1772 passed to Francesco Clerici (belonging to a secondary branch of the family), who subsequently leased it to Archduke Ferdinand of Hapsburg-Lorraine and to the Archduchess Maria Beatrice d'Este , who were representatives of Empress Maria Theresa in Milan with the title of Governors of the Duchy. Later, when the royal couple moved to the Royal Palace, the palace remained the property of the government, which ceded it to the Napoleonic government in 1813 .

I guess this is the only south Indian restaurant in Milan providing dosa and Idly.

It is really difficult to find an authentic south Indian restaurant in Milan or Italy. Because, Italy do not have many Indian population as you may see in USA or Canada or UK, for example. So, the number of restaurants too are minimal.
After a gap of few years (due to COVID-19) I visited this place. Not much changes to the ambience, but I was really astonished with the taste of the food. Thanks to the new chef from India. yes, heard that they have appointed a new cook from Tanjore, and that has made a huge difference now.
The crispy dosa, soft idli, spicy biriyani - you name it, you have it. Also, they are planning to get 100 variety of dosa shortly. Waiting for the inaugural of this event.
I think the only thing missing here now is the kumbakonam degree coffee!!!!! Hope they get it soon.
We tried the following food.

Chicken 65,
Dosa,
Mutton biriyani,
Chicken Biriyani,
Water, &
Sprite.
We paid 50 euros, which is good rate in Milan.

Volandia Park and Flight Museum is the largest Italian aeronautical museum and one of the largest in Europe. Volandia displays over 100 aircraft. The museum covers an area of ca. 60,000 m2 (645,000 sq ft)[1], of which 20,000 m2 (215,000 sq ft) are indoors.[2] It opened in 2010 after a 10-year preparation phase.[3]
The museum, located in Somma Lombardo and adjacent to the Milan-Malpensa Airport, is placed in the buildings of the historic Officine Aeronautiche Caproni 1910.
Since its foundation in 2010, the park museum has been enriched with numerous collections, including the Luciano Piazzai Modeling Collection and the Flaminio Bertoni Museum; it also houses the Gruppo Bertone Collection, which brings together some of the most famous cars designed by the Turin car body shop.
The complex is located within Ticino Park.
Purchased by the Italian Historical Automotoclub in 2015, since 2018, the Bertone Collection has been preserved in the homonymous pavilion of Volanda. The collection includes 76 cars - a motorcycle and a bicycle - designed by the Turin designer Nuccio Bertone and his collaborators. Among the models on display are a Lamborghini Miura S from 1967, an Alfa Romeo Giulia SS from 1963, and the Lancia Stratos HF, the protagonist of an extraordinary series of sporting successes. Prototypes include the BMW Birusa, the Porsche Karisma, the Ferrari 308 GT4 Rainbow, the Aston Martin Rapid Jet, the two Jaguar PU99, and the Bertone Birusa are also of considerable interest.

Il Parco e Museo del Volo di Volandia è il più grande museo aeronautico italiano, nonché uno dei maggiori a livello europeo[1], con oltre 100 velivoli su una superficie complessiva che supera i 250.000 m², 60.000 dei quali al coperto. Il museo, situato a Somma Lombardo e adiacente all'Aeroporto di Milano-Malpensa, si sviluppa negli edifici delle storiche Officine Aeronautiche Caproni 1910.
Dalla sua fondazione, avvenuta nel 2010, il parco-museo si è arricchito di numerose collezioni e del Museo Flaminio Bertoni, spazio dedicato al genio e alle creazioni del designer varesino; ospita inoltre la Collezione Bertone, che raccoglie alcune tra le autovetture più celebri disegnate dalla carrozzeria torinese.
Il complesso si trova all'interno del Parco del Ticino.
