3-Reasons why you should care about LIBYA

THE 3 REASONS: GEOGRAPHY, ECONOMY, OPPORTUNITY

Geography: This is an easy point. The CNN article was trying to convince why the WEST should care about what's going on in Libya. It's pretty easy to see why TUNISIA should care.

“Isis is in Libya, close to our borders.” The President told La Stampa, “The Russian military intervention in Syria and the blows suffered by Isis in Iraq have prompted them to organize themselves in Libya.”-President of Tunisia

Economy-Bottom line: While there are poScreen Shot 2016-04-27 at 11.42.20 AMsitive developments taking place in Tunisia; IT ALL DEPENDS ON SECURITY & STABILITY. Another attack would be devistating to Tunisia and it wouldn't take much to make the International organizations reassess their position in Tunisia.

Opportunity: IF ISIS is allowed to grow in Libya more Tunisians will flock and train there.

Screen Shot 2016-04-27 at 11.49.11 AM

Let's not forget that:

Tunisians are still leading every nationality in terms of ISIS involvement.
The Bardo & Sousse attacks were planned from Libya.

Numbers don't lie

As a security professional don't agree with the optimistic viewpoint that's gaining traction in Tunisia. The numbers simply don't lie. Tunisia faces a powerful 2-headed monster named Security-Economy and it is not going away any time soon.

If the situation gets worse in Libya then we can except major challenges in Tunisia. As the West prepares to take decisive action in Libya; we can only hope for the best.

Article taken over and translated in English by News 88.

“ Motivates me the people who are suffering poverty, misery, libel or oppressed peoples.”

Honestly is something I feel much, much from within. And sorry for being Latino and just come experienced a very similar story.

“ You try to do what you can ” says Emmanuel Joseph, a young 23 year old Argentine has decided to join the rebel ranks who are fighting the forces of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi in Libya.

Decided tone, said: “We are in the direction of Sirte. I was commenting that there are checkpoints, as ‘checkpoints’ in the rebel army, but there is a town where there is a small resistance groups Muammar Gaddafi. After this town, are still rebels, but in this case the rebel army, not the rebel army volunteers.

His gaze reveals the eyes of a young revolutionary. We hear shots in the air, a machine gun opens fire into the sky: “At this point I do not know if they are celebrating or giving a warning, but consistently shoot 14 mm caliber bullets. I’m still not scared. I’ll be when the bullets come front and not from the top or bottom-up , “Jose says.

Joseph Emmanuel was born in Argentina in 1988: “ I have 23 years and thank God I could grow up in families where the mentality was very open, especially my parents. They were the ones who showed me that there are realities in the world and I chose to try to change, if only to work with a grain of sand “.

His figure reminds Ernesto Che Guevera, the legendary Argentine revolutionary in the second half of the twentieth century. Emmanuel Joseph also wants to change the world: “ I have been volunteering in other countries have been suffering very similar to that of Libya. I would love to change the world, but I know I can not. I want to help people to feel that little by little from everyone we can change it. “

Few hours ago, the head of U.S. Africa Command, Gen. Carter Ham, said: “ is unlikely that the rebel forces managed to overthrow the Libyan regime of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi .”

Ham believes that air strikes by the coalition on March 19 helped “significantly reduce” the regime’s ability to target civilians, with the exception of the city of Misrata. This town is under rebel control, but it is under attack by forces loyal to the regime.

“Yes, I’m going into battle without body armor and no helmet. First, because I have not. Second, because I have not found the money to buy it. And third, if at any time I have to die, I have it or die without having , “said Jose Emmanuel.

He says it with a clear voice, with words specific to the grammar of a young idealist, “ With the caliber with which the army is attacking Gaddafi difficult to escape one of the bullets, even having a bulletproof vest and helmet, is what I think “.

“ My idea on the battlefield is to take pictures, film, hear from the people. Many of the soldiers who are there are towns taken by the armies of Gaddafi. and they fight only to recover his home, where they lived quietly. They are the evidence that most interest us. I would show them to as many people, “said the young Argentine.

Once again played by shrapnel. Way of Sirte, the rebels sing. Says Joseph Emammnuel that “my job is as a volunteer. My idea is to provide anyone who needs information at my disposal, so that the media have made it more public than I’ll ever do.”

“ Nor have I received money from any organization,” he explains. “The truth is that I do this as a volunteer. I have received money, but my father “.

“What are my parents thinking about this? Like any parent, I suppose they are very scared and worried. But I hope once proud because in my opinion not a bad thing what I’m doing, “concluded the young rebel.
