WHERE: On the banks of the Hunter River about 144 km north west of Sydney and 70km inland from Newcastle. ❓❓ WHY: Jacarandas in bloom and visit the biggest sundial in the Southern Hemisphere. ???? WHEN: November is the perfect time to see the Jacarandas. ???? FOOD: There's lots of good eateries. We had lunch at Worn Out Wares , a cafe and homewares business in George Street. Visitor Information: The tourist office is in Townhead Park. ???? Public toilets near the tourist centre.
