10 Best Tourist Attractions In BALER, AURORA

✍️ 10 BEST TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN BALER, AURORA:

???? OVERVIEW:
• AURORA is a province in the Philippines located in the eastern part of Central Luzon region, facing the Philippine Sea. It borders, clockwise from the south, the provinces of QUEZON, BULACAN, NUEVA ECIJA, NUEVA VIZCAYA, QUIRINO, & ISABELA.

Before 1979, Aurora was part of the province of Quezon. Aurora was, in fact, named after AURORA ARAGON, the wife of PRES. MANUEL L. QUEZON, the president of the Philippine Commonwealth, after whom the mother province was named.

• BALER, a coastal town that sits northeast of the Philippines’ capital, Manila, that is known for surfing & its many natural & historical landmarks. The Province of Aurora is a perfect eco-tourism destination rich in both natural & cultural attractions. Anchoring its tourism development using the Canopy to Corals (C2C) Concept, it ensures the conservation & protection of its natural & physical environs, from the top of the mountains to its flatlands down to the bottom of the ocean. Its tourism products: SURF, DIVE, TREK & REVEL fit not only the adventurous souls but also serve as a haven for serenity & relaxation. It is famous for various historical & natural attractions & is home to the 1st Pres. of the Philippine Commonwealth, Manuel L. Quezon. It is tagged as the “BIRTHPLACE OF PHILIPPINE SURFING.

BALER, AURORA is also an ALL YEAR ROUND TOURIST DESTINATION. The province is a prime spot for not just surfing but also other outdoor adventures such as NATURE TREKKING ACTIVITIES, SNORKELING, SCUBA DIVING & SIHTSEEING. BALER is also the playground of LANDSCAPE & ASTRO PHOTOGRAPHERS.

????10 MAJOR TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN BALER AURORA:

2. QUEZON MEMORIAL PARK (MANUEL LUIS QUEZON MONUMENT) & MUSEO DE BALER (BALER MUSEUM) = If you want to delve deeper into Baler’s history or even the Philippines in general, then MUSEO DE BALER is certainly the place you should visit. You’ll find that the museum’s collections date back to the Spanish Colonization.

4. BALETE PARK & MILLENNIUM TREE = The Millennium Tree in Balete Park is the largest tree of its kind in Asia. It is also a more than 600 years old Balete tree & was designated as the country’s official millennium tree. 4. DOÑA AURORA ARAGON - QUEZON ANCESTRAL HOUSE = Another great piece of art & architecture that shows Baler’s history & culture can be found in Doña Aurora Ancestral House. 5. BALER CATHOLIC CHURCH (SAN LUIS OBISPO DE TOLOSA PARISH CHURCH) = This small church near the town plaza symbolizes a significant history not just of Baler or the Philippines, but of the world as well. 6. BALER HANGING BRIDGE @ ZABALI ROAD = The Baler Hanging Bridge wasn’t made as a tourist spot. It was initially intended for the locals who use it to cross to the other. However, because of the view, it shows off of the river.

8. DICASALARIN COVE DICA & LIGHTHOUSE = The DICASALARIN COVE is a secret beach located beside the DICASALARIN BEACH. Visitors who want to see the entirety of the cove can go up the hill where a lighthouse can be accessed as well.

1. Jerbie's Kandingan ( - Naga, Cebu, Philippines - Early in the morning we started at Jerbie's Kandingan, known for their variety of stews, and especially Balbacua, a Filipino beef stew using all the hoofs and collage rich parts. The recipe is quite complicated with onions and ginger and pineapple juice and peanut butter. The result is this sticky and extremely tasty stew that’s a perfect easy start to your morning. We also had some Soup number 5, legendary power soup in the Philippines!

2. Ginabot sa Pardo ( - One of the greatest Philippines street foods in Cebu is ginabot, the raffled flower intestines deep fried. But the highlight is the dipping sauce that includes onions, chilies, calamansi, soy sauce, and vinegar. It’s a perfect crispy snack!

3. Delfa’s Tungolan ( - Next up on this action packed Philippines street food tour we went to the legendary Delfa’s Tungolan for her giant pig intestines stuffed with leek and green onions. They are deep fried and served again with the dipping sauce which makes it insanely tasty.

4. Brigols ( Mandaue City, Philippines - Another famous street food in Cebu is Tuslob buwa, pig brains melted with lard and scooped up with compressed rice. It’s fun to eat and it’s a delicious was to make full use of all the parts of the pig.

5. Matias BBQ ( - Finally to complete this ultimate Cebu street food tour we went to the iconic Matias BBQ, a household name in Cebu. We had some delicious organ skewers and tame chicken wings to end!

What a day of Filipino street food, eating some of the most extreme meats and foods Cebu has to offer!
