Morocco’s Atlantic Coast is INSANE | Sidi Kaouki, Tifnit, Imsouane & Sidi Ifni
Welcome back! This time we’re continuing down Morocco’s insanely gorgeous Atlantic Coast to the most southern point that we’ll be travelling too on this Moroccan road trip.
Being that this is the last time we’ll be on Morocco’s beaches for a while, we really wanted to savour the sun, sea and sand and we do just that!
We spend some time chilling in Sidi Kaouki, briefly stop by Essaouira, call for a tasty lunch on Tifnit beach and get sucked into the surfer’s paradise of Imsouane. But Sidi Ifni is the place that captures our hearts and we end up spending a week there, really getting to know it.

10. Sidi Ifni.
Sidi Ifni is a charming fishing town on Morocco's southwest coast. It has stunning beaches, surf locations, and rock formations. After decades under Spanish control, the Berber town has a remarkable history and culture.
9. Rabat.
Rabat, Morocco's capital, is worth seeing. It is one of four imperial cities on the northwest coast, bordering the Atlantic Ocean. Rabat is a delightful city to explore, with palm tree-lined boulevards and an intriguing medieval medina.
8. Meknes.
Meknes, the City of a Hundred Minarets, lies near Fes in northern Morocco and has several monuments, mosques, castles, and pavilions. Meknes, a fortified Berber town founded in the 9th century, rose to prominence in the 11th century. In the 1700s, Moroccan Sultan Moulay Ismail named Meknes the imperial capital and expanded the city.
7. Chefchaouen.
Chefchaouen, in northwest Morocco's Rif Mountains, it is one of Morocco's most beautiful towns. Because all the buildings in its historic medina are painted blue, they stand out beautifully against the dusty surroundings.

Asilah, a seaside resort town, was a Phoenician commerce center in 1500 BC. Pirates operated there in the 19th and 20th centuries. The reconstructed medina is surrounded by fortifications. Asilah is 30 kilometers from Tangier on Morocco's north coast.
5. Essaouira.
Essaouira, an 18th century Atlantic coastal town in Morocco, is a renowned beach vacation. Kitesurfing and windsurfing are set against white washed residences with cobalt blue shutters. The medina has thuya wood carving and furniture making. The women cooperatives that process argan nuts wear long white robes and are highly known for their argan oil commerce.
4. Fes.
Fes was Morocco's capital since 789. Morocco's third largest city is a handicraft hub. Fes is the perfect site to enjoy a Moroccan market's lively atmosphere. The government is working hard to restore the medina Fes el Bali. The medina is the world's largest car-free urban region with 150000 residents.
3. High Atlas.
The High Atlas spans from Morocco's coast to Alergia. Morocco's tallest mountain, Jbel Toubkal, is in Toubkal National Park. Toubkal climbing begins in Imlil, a Berber town. The High Atlas, North Africa's tallest mountain range, offers snow sports and trekking year-round.
2. Merzouga.
Merzouga, a remote village on the Algerian border, is a popular base for exploring the Sahara Desert. The 300-meter-tall Erg Chebbi dunes tower over it. Most visitors come for these massive sandscapes, exploring them via hiking, quad bike, or camel safari.

Marrakech, with its red sandstone buildings, was once an imperial city. The Berber Almoravides created Marrakech in the 11th century and made it a hub of commerce, religion, philosophy, and culture. Almoravides built red sandstone fortifications, opulent palaces, and Koranic schools, many of which remain today.

Legzira beach, Morocco. Sidi Ifni beach and surfing
Legzira beach near Sidi Ifni is a little city located in southwest Morocco, on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. At the heart of what was the Spanish Sahara, Ifni was once a base for slave-trading operations and later a large exporter of fish to the Spanish mainland. The place is full of visiting surfers, seeking out excellent Atlantic waves on nearby beaches.
Legzira is one of the most beautiful beaches in Morocco. The site is still special with a rock island beyond the waves and photogenic arches standing farther down the beach. One of the iconic earth and stone arches fell down in 2016 and the remaining ones are unstable. The cliffs were formed over thousands of years by erosion. Locals say there were 5 in total, including the collapsed one.
MOROCCO Travel // Pt. 2 - Surf Trip from Taghazout to Sidi Ifni
Morocco is a surfer's paradise: perfect swell, quiet beaches, warm water, and sunny weather all year round.
After a few surf sessions around Taghazout we decided to venture to Paradise Valley, a beautiful area for hiking. We made it back to the car just in time before some serious rain showers hit the valley.
We then decided to drive to Sidi Ifni, a hidden gem in the south of Morocco. It is a small fishing village where you can experience traditional Moroccan culture, and again, perfect surf. You won't find a lot of tourists ove here, even though the beaches with natural arches made of sand stone are definitely worth a visit.

MOROCCO - LAGZIRA
Lagzira, Legzira, ou Gzira, est une plage sauvage marocaine, située dans la commune rurale de Tioughza, entre les villes de Tiznit et Sidi Ifni, à environ 150 km au sud d'Agadir, et à 10 km au nord de Sidi ifni. Son paysage et ses vagues sont appréciés par les touristes, les randonneurs et les surfeurs. Le lieu rappel des paysages lunaires. C'est un site touristique majeur de la province de Sidi Ifni et de la région de Guelmim-Oued Noun.
