Wonders of Siquijor, Philippines - Best spots in 4 hours tour | By MC Santiago

#Siquijor #SoloTravel #Philippines #CambugahayFalls

What to do in Siquijor
Siquijor in 4 hours
Places to visit in Siquijor

Quarantine 101 este vlogging 101

My first youtube video, expect less. ????

Someone said, Siquijor is the place of sorcerers and black magic. But all those things gone into my mind as I met wonderful people and enjoyed the unique beauty of their island. You will feel so in love with this place as you explore and appreciate nature at its purest. There’s so much to see and so much to do in this small island. ????

Sharing my day tour solo travel itinerary and budget.

✈️ How to get there?

Book a flight from Manila to Dumaguete. Got mine on seat sale for P800 one-way. Travel period is about 1.5hrs.

From Dumaguete - Sibulan Airport ride a tricycle to Dumaguete port, 15mins. - P150

From Dumaguete Port, buy ticket going to Siquijor at Oceanjet ticketing office. Though, there are other ferry with cheaper rates but the fastest one is oceanjet thus pricey so I chose this since I was on a rush for a daytrip only, travel time - 1hr.

Luckily, I arrived before the first trip departs at 7:20AM - P250
Second trip departs at 9:40AM, the key is dapat laging maaga. (Which is not really my personality, but I did ????)

Terminal fee - P15

????Getting around in Siquijor.

The best way to get around the island is to rent a motorbike, if you know how to drive. In my case, since di ako marunong I hired a tricycle (diba bida bida) with a driver, mainiit din kasi mga bes kung mag-iikot ka sa island kaya nagtricycle na ako. Rate starts at P900, good for 3 - daytour only. Again, solo lang ako in this trip, kaya kong mag-isa!!! Hahaha

Motorbike rental starts at P300 for 24hrs. use without gas. Strictly no license, no motorbike!! Wag kayong pasaway! Joke. Motorbike with driver for hire starts at 800 - daytour only.

????Where to go in Siquijor?

There are a lot of places to see in this island and one day is not enough to explore but due to time constraints, I prioritised these places only:

????Welcome to Siquijor - Free entrance
????St. Francis de Asisi Church - Free entrance
????I love Siquijor - Free entrance
????Paliton Beach - Give donation, any amount
????Hapitanan Broom shot Challenge - Give donation, any amount
????Lazi Church - Free entrance
????Siquijor Heritage Museum/Lazi Convent - Free entrance
????Cambugahay Falls - P10 parking, give donation, any amount
????Salagdoong Beach- P20 parking, entrance P35
Guiwanon Spring Park/Mangrove Forest - Entrance P10

12:00pm End of tour, need to catch 1:30pm ferry back to dumaguete. Oceanjet - P250, terminal fee 15 (next trip is 3:50pm which is medyo malakas na ang alon).

If you are going to stay for overnight, there are a lot of clean and affordable rooms near the beach. Ask your hired driver/tour guide for recommendations. What I always consider is the proximity to the Port. ????

Napansin nyo hindi ako kumain diba? Tipid tipid na rito bes, HAHAHA Heavy breakfast and bring water always. I ate some fried banana with margarine sa Cambuhagay falls pala kaya mabigat sa tyan.

????Tip:

Please do warm up exercise if you will have extreme activities, Tarzan swing at Cambugahay falls is nakakaubos energy at masakit sa katawan aftwerwards. Rent a life vest din for safety, it’s too late for me to realise na naka-4 na talon ako sa falls na hindi manlang naglife vest. (Mahal din yata yung rent ng life vest kaya nawala sa isip ko ????????).

For hassle-free siquijor experience, I highly recommend Kuya Niechel Pao, contact number 0965-239-9150. My driver/tour guide/photographer. ????

On my bike again which recently had an awesome oil change. Me and Siloy, my Yamaha MT03, cruising my way to the farthest point of southern Cebu.

Santander is located 133 kilometers south of Cebu City. Actually the town is the southernmost tip of Cebu Island. Bordered by Samboan and Oslob in the north, the island of Negros (Neg. Oriental) to the south, to the east is Cebu Strait and to the west is the Tañon Strait.

Popular among travellers to and from Negros because of its ports in Liloan which offers ferry and roro trips to Sibulan, San JOse (Tampi) and also to Larena Siquijor. Many vehicles coming from Negros make a stopover in Santander's Park (Igwaron/Sanayon Park). This open space offers a view of the 4 components of Central Visayas- Cebu, Negros Oriental, Bohol and Siquijor.

Join me in my tour in and around Santander. From Barangay Pasil to Poblacion to Barangay Liloan and even the hilly Barangay of Bunlan where one can have a majestic and clearest view of Negros Island and the water that divides Cebu and Negros-the Tañon Strait.

Literally, I explored the town for beautiful spots both famous and unknown. Watch this video to know more of the Municipality of Santander.

JO's GARDEN SIBULAN - DUMAGUETE CITY, NEGROS ORIENTAL | PERFECT PLACE TO RELAX | WALK TOUR ????????

Vlog Title: JO's GARDEN SIBULAN - DUMAGUETE CITY, NEGROS ORIENTAL | PERFECT PLACE TO RELAX | WALK TOUR

Our Lady’s Garden & Chicken Jo’s Inato by the sea

Situated in the town of Sibulan in Negros Oriental, a nice restaurant and a peaceful venue for reflection greet the visitors. Chicken Jo’s Inato by the sea offers sumptuous variety of foods including seafoods and grilled meat. Their delicious grilled chicken are their best sellers but their other food offerings are also great. They offer sodas, shakes, water and beer to their customers for refreshments. The lovely ambiance of Chicken Jo’s Inato in Sibulan is one of the reasons why tourists and locals from Dumaguete or other nearby towns visit the restaurant. It is open from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm.

On the other side of the road where the fine restaurant is located, a huge statue of Mother Mary inside a well-maintained park on top of a mountain amazes travelers. The Our Lady’s Garden in Sibulan is a nice place to reflect and pray. Devotees of Mother Mary, which are mostly Roman Catholic, visit the park to thank her and/or ask for something from her son Jesus Christ.

Situated about 10 kilometers from Dumaguete City, the Our Lady’s Garden and Chicken Jo’s Inato is a few meters from Sea Forest Resort going north. It is a nice pit stop for rest and refreshment. This is one of the areas of Negros where the sea meets the mountain. So if you want a sumptuous meal and want to see a huge statue of Mother Mary in a tidy park, visit Our Lady’s Garden & Chicken Jo’s Inato by the sea in Sibulan. You can take a bus going north (San Jose, Tanjay City route) or you can simply charter a tricycle. (c) phtourguide.com

SIBULAN Town Fiesta 2023 | Metro DUMAGUETE Walk Tour | Night Market | June 13, 2023

VLOG TITLE: SIBULAN Town Fiesta 2023 | Metro DUMAGUETE Walk Tour | Night Market | June 13, 2023

This video is a walk trough tour of Sibulan Town in Negros Oriental during their Fiesta Celebration held June 13, 2023. People go out in the plaza to celebrate the Fiesta. Also devotees of San Antonio de Padua attend the Mass and many lit a candle to offer prayers and thansksgiving.

Sibulan is dubbed as the gateway Negros Oriental.

Sibulan is 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Dumaguete City. It is the location of the Dumaguete Airport, the main airport for Negros Oriental.

Sibulan is also the location of the Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park, composed of Lake Balinsasayao and Lake Danao. The site, managed by the provincial government, is located 1,047 metres (3,435 ft) above sea level on Mount Talinis.

Sibulan has six coastal barangays: from north to south they are Ajong, Looc, Poblacion, Cangmating, Maslog, Agan-an and Boloc-boloc. The provincial airport, known as the Dumaguete Airport, is actually in Agan-an, Sibulan. There is a growing number of guest houses and beach resorts from Cangmating southward to Dumaguete and the coral reefs of Ajong are attracting more dive boats.
