Η Σιάτιστα είναι μια πανέμορφη Κωμόπολη που διατηρεί το παραδοσιακό της χρώμα. Η μεγάλη ακμή της πόλης ήταν το 18ο- 19ο αιώνα όπου άνθισε το εμπόριο, η γουνοποιία και η αμπελουργία. Την οικονομική της άνθιση μαρτυρούν τα πανέμορφα αρχοντικά σπίτια, οι εκκλησίες και τα σχολειά της. Στην πόλη αυτή ζούσαν πριν εκατομμύρια χρόνια μαμούθ και πολλά ευρήματα μόλις πρόσφατα ανακαλύφθηκαν με τη διάνοιξη της Εναντίας οδού. Επισκεπτόμαστε το μουσείο παλαιοντολογίας και την κάτω και πάνω πόλη με τις θαυμάσιες εκκλησίες της.

Το πανέμορφο μοναστήρι της Παναγίας Μικροκάστρου | Microkastro monastery and Kastoria aquarium
Το γυναικείο µοναστήρι της Παναγίας Μικροκάστρου είναι αφιερωμένο στην Κοίμηση της Θεοτόκου. Βρίσκεται 12 χιλιόμετρα από τη Σιάτιστα πολύ κοντά στο χωριό Μικρόκαστρο. Το καθολικό του μοναστηριού έχει εξαιρετικής τέχνης Αγιογραφίες του 18ου αιώνα. Η εικόνα της βρεφοκρατούσας Θεοτόκου θεωρείται θαυματουργή και είναι ζωγραφισμένη το 1603 μ.Χ. Τον Δεκαπενταύγουστο επισκέπτονται το μοναστήρι , πιστοί από όλα τα μέρη της Ελλάδας για να προσκυνήσουν την εικόνα. Υπάρχει το έθιμο με τους «καβαλάρηδες της Σιάτιστας» όπου επισκέπτονται το Μοναστήρι πάνω στα στολισμένα άλογά τους. Μετά την επίσκεψη μας στο μοναστήρι κατευθυνόμαστε στην Καστοριά και βλέπουμε το πολύ ενδιαφέρον ενυδρείο της που είναι το μεγαλύτερο με ψάρια γλυκού νερού των Βαλκανίων.
Βούρινος 1866m: Ντρισινικός - Μεσιανό Νερό με ΣΟΔΚ / Vourinos: Drisinikos - Mesiano Nero with MACK
Κυριακή 03-10-2021 πεζοπορία στο όρος Βούρινος στη Σιάτιστα Κοζάνης με τον Σύλλογο Ορεινών Δραστηριοτήτων Καστοριάς (ΣΟΔΚ).
Λίγα λόγια για το βουνό. Ο Βούρινος (και Μπούρινος) είναι βουνό της Δυτικής Μακεδονίας, μεταξύ των νομών Κοζάνης και Γρεβενών, με υψόμετρο 1.866 μέτρα. Η κορυφή του ονομάζεται από τους κατοίκους των προποδών του Ντρισινίκους. Συνδέεται στα βόρεια με το Άσκιο του οποίου μπορεί να θεωρηθεί και τμήμα, ανατολικά καταλήγει στο οροπέδιο της Κοζάνης ενώ νότια και δυτικά περιβάλλεται από τον Αλιάκμονα.
Η ετυμολογία του ονόματός του προέρχεται μάλλον από το προελληνικό Βαρνούς που σημαίνει ύψωμα. Εξάλλου τα αρχαία χρόνια ολόκληρη η κάθετη οροσειρά που περιλαμβάνει τα βουνά Βούρινος, Βέλλια, Άσκιο, Βέρνο (Βίτσι), Βαρνούντας και Πέλιστερ (ΠΓΔΜ) ήταν γνωστή με το όνομα Βαρνούς.
Ο Βούρινος αποτελείται από δύο παράλληλα μακρόστενα όρη, τον Άνω Βούρινο στα Δυτικά και τον Κάτω Βούρινο στα Ανατολικά που χωρίζονται από την κοιλάδα του Μεσιανού νερού. Έχει ιδιαίτερα ηφαιστειακά πετρώματα, τα οποία ήταν λόγος να αναπτυχθεί ιδιαίτερη χλωρίδα. Εντοπίζονται 15 είδη ενδημικά στην Ελλάδα και 8 ενδημικά στον κόσμο. Η ιδιαίτερη χλωρίδα του βουνού, βοήθησε στο να αναπτυχθεί γενικώς μια μεγάλη βιοποικιλότητα που εντοπίζεται κυρίως στην κοιλάδα του Μεσιανού νερού. Λόγω αυτής της βιοποικιλότητάς του, ο Βούρινος είναι ενταγμένος στο δίκτυο Natura 2000.
Ιστορικά το βουνό είναι γνωστό για την εξέγερση των Δυτικομακεδόνων το 1878, ενάντια στη Συνθήκη του Αγίου Στεφάνου.
Ήταν μια φανταστική εμπερία, ο Βούρινος αν και δεν είναι πολύ ψηλό ή εκτεταμένο βουνό έχει μια απίστευτη ομορφιά. Πανέμορφα δάση , εντυπωσιακή κορυφογραμμή και φανταστική θέα. Το καταφύγιο βρίσκεται σε θαυμάσια τοποθεσία και η διαδρομή είχε όλες τις εναλλαγές που θα ήθελε ο κάθε πεζοπόρος.
Η διαδρομή έιναι πλήρως σημασμένη ξεκινά από το Καταφύγιο του Ορειβατικού Συλλόγου Σιάτιστας προς το πυροφυλάκιο και εν συνεχέια στη κορυφή Ντρισινίκος. Άκολουθεί κατάβαση στην αντίθετη κατεύθυνση και μέσα απο τις δασωμένες πλαγιές οδηγεί στην υπέροχη κοιλάδα του Μεσιανού Νερού. Δυστυχώς μετά απο ένα ζεστό καλοκαιρί δεν είχαν νερό τα διάφορα ρέματα αλλά η ομορφιά παραμένει. Τελός μέσα από ένα αρκετά ανηφορικό μονοπάτι γυρίζει πίσω στο καταφύγιο. Το μήκος έιναι 12.5 χλμ και χρειάζονται περίπου 5-6 ώρες για να ολοκληρωθεί.
Η μέρα ήταν ιδανική για πεζοπορία όχι όμως τόσο ιδανική για φωτογραφίες. Στο μέλλον θα επιστρέψω να απαθανατίσω με το φακό μου αυτό το υπέροχο βουνό.
Sunday 03-10-2021 hiking on Mount Vourinos in Siatista, Kozani with the Mountain Activities Club of Kastoria (MACK).
A few words about the mountain. Vourinos (and Burinos) is a mountain in Western Macedonia, between the prefectures of Kozani and Grevena, with an altitude of 1,866 meters. Its peak is named by the inhabitants of the foothills , Drisinikos. It is connected to the north with Askio, of which it can be considered a part, to the east it ends at the Kozani plateau while to the south and west it is surrounded by Aliakmonas.
The etymology of his name probably comes from the pre-Greek Varnous which means hill. After all, in ancient times the whole vertical mountain range that includes the mountains Vourinos, Vellia, Askio, Verno (Vitsi), Varnounda and Pelister (FYROM) was known as Varnous.
Vourinos consists of two parallel elongated mountains, Ano Vourino in the West and Kato Vourino in the East which are separated by the valley of Mesiano Νero (middle water). It has special volcanic rocks, which were the reason for the development of special flora. 15 species endemic to Greece and 8 endemic to the world. The special flora of the mountain, helped to develop in general a great biodiversity that is located mainly in the valley of Mesiano Νero. Due to this biodiversity, Vourinos is part of the Natura 2000 network.
Historically, the mountain is known for the revolt of the Western Macedonians in 1878, against the Treaty of San Stefano.
It was a fantastic experience, Vourinos although it is not very high or extensive mountain, it has an incredible beauty. Beautiful forests, impressive ridge and fantastic views. The shelter is in a great location and the route had all the changes that every hiker would like.
The route is fully marked starting from the Shelter of the Mountaineering Association of Siatista to the outpost and then to the top Drisinikos. It follows a descent in the opposite direction and through the forested slopes leads to the wonderful valley of Mesiano nero . Unfortunately, after a hot summer, the various streams did not have water, but the beauty remains. Finally, through a rather uphill path, he returns to the shelter. The length is 12.5 km and it takes about 5-6 hours to complete.
The day was ideal for hiking but not so ideal for photos. In the future I will return to capture with my lens this wonderful mountain.

Μία μικρή και πολύ γραφική κωμόπολη στο Δήμο Βοίου στο Νομό Κοζάνης , η διαδρομή μας ενθουσίασε όπως και ο προορισμός μας! Η Σιάτιστα έχει πολύ καλό κλίμα για να ζήσει κανείς χωρίς καθόλου υγρασία .
Τα φημισμένα αμπέλια της , τα χωράφια με τα ηλιοτρόπια , τα πανέμορφα χωράφια με τις λεβάντες είναι πολύ όμορφα απλωμένα γύρω από την όμορφη και γραφική πόλη της Σιάτιστας!
Εμείς θα κάνουμε ένα ταξίδι με προορισμό την όμορφη Σιάτιστα θα πετάξουμε ψηλά πάνω από το Ναό Αγίου Δημητρίου της Σιάτιστας Κοζάνης , θα δούμε τα χωράφια από ψηλά , τα υπέροχα σπίτια με τις όμορφες κόκκινες σκεπές τους και θα ακολουθήσουμε έναν ποδηλάτη που θα βρούμε στο δρόμο μας για να μας ταξιδέψει μαζί του!
