►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week:
►T-shirts available now:

Special thanks to Zouba Tours ( for arranging everything in this video. I paid for this tour (it’s not sponsored), but I think they did a great job, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the tour.

Luxi who was our guide also has a cooking school called Rice and Friends ( - we’ll visit her cooking school on Day 3 of this series.

Ok, now onto the info about this Chinese street food tour in Yunnan:

Xizhou, China

On Day 1, we drove from Dali Old Town to Xizhou, another ancient town near Dali, that’s known for some famous Chinese street food snacks.

We started for breakfast with a thick pea porridge and a pea pudding salad. The grandmother serving had been making these same dishes since she was a child with her mother. The breakfast was warming and delicious, and it hit the spot in the morning.
Total price - 8 RMB ($1.20)

Xizhou Baba - Probably the most famous Chinese street food you have to try in Xizhou is baba, which is also sometimes known as a Chinese pizza. It’s a round of dough that’s mixed with lard and meat, or the sweet version, and baked in a unique street oven using charcoal. Part of the fun is watching it being made. Then of course, eating it is absolutely delicious.
Price - 10 RMB ($1.50) per piece

Yunnanese cheese - Next up in Xizhou we went to watch a local Yunnanese Cheese demonstration. Yunnan is one of the few places in China where there is a cheese culture - some say it was brought over with the Mongols. We made some local cheese, then put it out to dry, then they let us sample some different types of the prepared cheese. Price - 8 RMB ($1.20)

Yi He Zhuang (怡和庄) Restaurant - This Yunnanese ethnic Bai Chinese food meal was the highlight of my day. We had an absolute feast of a meal, including a few unique Chinese dishes like raw pig sashimi and pine needle salad. Everything was colorful, using natural ingredients and the flavors were spectacular. This meal is one I’ll never forget.
Total price - 215 RMB ($32.41)

Dali Old Town - It was a long day of delicious Chinese food, and in the evening we drove back to Dali Old Town and headed out for dinner.

Duan’s Kitchen - For dinner we were back in Old Town Dali, and my friend Frank from Zouba Tours mentioned that Duan’s Kitchen was a little touristy, but he said we needed to try it because the food was amazing and they are doing some unique things. The food was outstanding, and my favorite dish was the chicken braised in chili oil with pu’er tea.
Total price - 180 RMB ($27.14)

6 Best Places To Visit In Meghalaya | Dawki |Whistling Village And More

Today I'm taking you to Meghalaya which means abode of clouds
This one has my ❤️
India is a land full of rivers.
1.Dawki river is actually one of the cleanest in the world.
The water is green and crystal clear.
The river seperates India and Bangladesh.
It has a 90 year old suspension bridge where I’m standing :))
Don't you feel the boats appear to be floating on an invisible glass surface?
A boat ride is a must when you visit Dawki!
Meghalaya is full of beautiful waterfalls. And this one for sure caught all my attention.
2.Phi Phi falls is located in the west Jantia hills.Isn't it gorgeous? Which ia the most beautiful waterfall you've seen?
Next we go to:
3. The living root bridges! These are suspension bridges made by shaping the roots of trees. Created by the people of the Khasi tribe, these roots grow from the ancient rubber trees, seen only in the northeast region. These roots are trained by the Khasis to grow in such a manner as be in the form of bridges on the top of a river. The most popular tourist attraction of Cherrapunjee, these double decker living root bridges are 2 bridges that are stacked one on the other, made because of the entanglement of roots. Climbing down 3200 steps was worth it!
Next is:
4. The Wei Sawdong Waterfall. The route to the bottom of the waterfalls is mostly bamboo bridges, stairs, and mud. It is extremely dangerous so be sure to wear proper trekking shoes. When wet, the bamboo is slippery so a hiking stick may help. I was super scared but the view was breathtaking. I'm in love with all the waterfalls here.
Next I'm taking you to the most unique village ever.
5. Kongthing village also called as the whistling village here the residents have three names: a regular name, a distinct melody and a shorter tune that is akin to a nickname. Each villager here has a distinct tune as his/her name that came stright out of their mothers heart a she held them in her arms. What melody would you name your best friend as?
Another unique gem Meghalaya hold is:
6. The Sacred forestWhat is a sacred or holy or blessed place for you??
The people of Meghalaya hold their forests as sacred and holy. You cannot take or leave behind anything in the forest. Leave only footprints and take back only memories they say. They worship their trees and forests. What if we, like them worshipped all of nature?? Wouldn't the world be a more beautiful place?!!!

What are your view on Meghalaya? write in the comments below and stay tuned for another beautiful place from My India!

Switzerland is a small country that sits smack dab in the middle of the Alps, making for 360-degree scenery wherever a person finds themselves. Numerous lakes also add to the picture postcard look of this country, whose most famous citizen may have been the fictional Heidi. From banks to bucolic alpine meadows, Switzerland has it all. Tibet china

Tibet, known as the Roof of the World, is the highest spot in the sky at 4,900 meters on average. It's a secret exotic area in a plateau north of the Himalayas for which many foreigners have longed. The enormous, quiet area with its breathtaking beauty and intriguing religious tradition has attracted great tourists since the beginning of the 20th century. If it is your first time in Tibet, the highlights listed below cannot be missed because they represent the truest Tibet.

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau's altitude, terrain, and climate shape and characterize Tibet's tourist attractions. The main attraction of a Tibet visit for most tourists, both foreign and domestic, is to personally experience Tibetan Buddhism's spiritual world, enjoy the breathtaking mountain landscape, and learn about Tibetan folk culture and customs.

However, due to Tibet's immense size (1,228,400 square kilometers, the second largest territory in China), it is impossible to see everything. The place to go varies.

Lhasa (3650m) is the focus of a Tibet tour for first-time visitors with limited time (4 or 5 days). Lhasa, Tibet's capital and spiritual heart, is located on the northern bank of the Kyichu River. Tibetan monasteries, palaces, temples, and vibrant religious and secular life abound in this medieval metropolis.
The Potala Palace, also known as the winter palace and former Dalai Lama's residence, is a must-see in Lhasa. Then there's Jokhang Temple, Lhasa's spiritual and religious center. Moreover, the Barkhor Street encircling the Jokhang Temple is the busiest in Lhasa. Join the religious Tibetan pilgrims on Barkhor Street for kora. Having sweet tea or local food in a local tea shop is very enjoyable.
Lhasa also has the “Great Three” Gelugpa Monasteries: Drepung, Sera, and Ganden. The largest Gelugpa monastery in Tibet is Drepung, whereas Sera is known for its theatrical monk debates. Ganden Monastery boasts the best view of Lhasa Valley. You must visit the heavenly Namtso Lake, which is Tibet's greatest salinity lake and has breathtaking scenery if you have time.
