Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Australia. The next continent Asia and Bohol is already our twentieth destination. We have also been away from home for a year. Saint Lucia is the ultimate honeymoon destination. It has the most beautiful nature and is the absolute highlight in the middle of the Caribbean. There is also plenty to do for backpackers and traveling families. In this video I show you why every traveler should visit Saint Lucia at least once: it's just a place that can hardly be beat!
After Saint Lucia we visit many more gems in the Caribbean. Whether they will match with Saint Lucia remains to be seen! With the best views of the gigantic pitons, overnight stays in tree houses in the middle of the jungle and the most beautiful snow-white beaches, Saint Lucia is high on the list of the most beautiful islands in the world. We sleep in Soufrière, visit the Diamond Waterfalls, hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail and visit the beaches Anse Chastanet, Sugar Beach and Jalousie Plantation Beach. From the west, we drive our small jeep through the rainforest to the south and east, before relaxing at an all-inclusive resort in the north.
This year we travel all over the world and after the Canary Islands, Oman, Cape Verde and Martinique, Saint Lucia is our fifth destination. Sta. Lucia Falls / Dolores Quezon / Pilgrim Site / Quick Ride #4
Sta. Lucia Falls can be found in Dolores, Quezon. Before going directly to the falls, an adventurous tourist can detour to a winding footpath leading to “Ina ng Awa” a place of religious worship where many members of religious sects pray for guidance from the Virgin Mary. 267 steps going down to Sta. Lucia falls, one can hear the murmur of the cascading water as it quietly settles into a tranquil basin, truly nature at its best. And its not for recreational and picnic, it is a pilgrim site.
Ina ng Awa is near Kinabuhayan, at the foot of Mt. Banahaw, and is also believed to be mystical. The mystical caves are located in this area. Many small caves and rock shelters were given Biblical names and some also serve as altars for the sects. Some, like the Santong Husgado Cave, test the purity of the spirit of those who enter. The ones with clean spirits can easily pass through and the unclean ones are overcome by rocks inside the cave, preventing them from continuing.
