SPANISH NAMES of PLACES in Trinidad and Tobago JBManCave.com

A Native Spanish speaker and teacher is going to help JB learn the proper pronunciation of SPANISH NAMES of PLACES in Trinidad and Tobago. For instance, how you do you pronounce the names of these places: Sangre Grande, San Juan, La Puerta, San Fernando, Santa Rosa, etc. There lots more Spanish based names in Trinidad and Tobago BUT you can only share so much in one video. In fact, when we originally considered this video we though it may be around five minutes and as you can see it turned out to be over 20 minutes. Maybe in future videos we will look at more Spanish place names. Regardless, many do not realize the major influence the Spaniards had in setting the name of the country and other major places. It is also interesting to note that the British did nothing much to change it either. The thoughts expressed here may serve well for those who home school or teach a Spanish class and will like to make a lesson about the Spanish names of places in T&T. However, when sharing please share the link to the video here on Youtube. This video should not be disseminated from any other location or medium.

A beautiful drive up the north coast of Trinidad to the amazing Matelot village !

Matelot is a settlement in Trinidad and Tobago. Located on the north coast of Trinidad in the Sangre Grande region, the village has traditionally been seen as one of the most remote places on the island.

My name is Alan Charles (the Trini Surfer) and I am here to show you the beauty of my home country TRINIDAD and the rest of the world on my TRAVELS.

MAP OF TRINIDAD

greetings my friends. this is a map of Trinidad. Major landforms in Trinidad include the hills of the Northern, Central and Southern Ranges , the Caroni, Nariva and Oropouche Swamps, and the Caroni and Naparima Plains. Major river systems include the Caroni, North and South Oropouche and Ortoire Rivers. There are many other natural landforms such as beaches and waterfalls. Trinidad also has two seasons per the calendar year: the rainy season and the dry season. El Cerro del Aripo, at 940 metres , is the highest point in Trinidad. It is part of the Aripo Massif and is located in the Northern Range on the island, northeast of the town of Arima. Trinidad is the larger and more populous of the two major islands of Trinidad and Tobago. The island lies 11 km off the northeastern coast of Venezuela and sits on the continental shelf of South America. It is often referred to as the southernmost island in the West Indies. With an area of 4,768 km2 , it is also the fifth largest in the West Indies. Caribs and Arawaks lived in Trinidad long before Christopher Columbus encountered the islands on his third voyage on 31 July 1498. The island remained Spanish until 1797, but it was largely settled by French colonists from the French Caribbean, especially Martinique. In 1889 the two islands became a single British Crown colony. Trinidad and Tobago was granted self-governance in 1958 and independence from the United Kingdom in August 1962, and became a republic in August 1976. thats all. please comment and subscribe for the best maps. goodbye.

For those curious as to why some parts may be blurred: Usually if the camera focuses too much on the faces of children or some awkward moment then I blur it to protect the integrity of the people around me. These videos focus on the general surroundings and not specific people unless I am conducting an interview or approached by someone during the course of recording.

SAN FERNANDO Trinidad and Tobago Caribbean Walk Through covering major Streets by JBManCave.com

Best San Fernando. Trinidad and Tobago. Caribbean Walk Through covering major Streets. Walking around the city of San Fernando proper in Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean which makes up a Republic known as Trinidad and Tobago. The name of San Fernando was named after Spanish royalty. The people of San Fernando are friendly, easy going as you would expect from the Caribbean and there is a whole bunch of shopping. While there is a key below for you to skip around various footage of specific streets in San Fernando you can only truly get the gist of San Fernando by watching the whole video from start to finish.

This is a walk through covering all the major streets and roads that are the most traversed when visiting San Fernando. There will be lots of commentary and I will be leaving the natural sounds so you can hear what I hear. Like all videos in JB's Man Cave, I keep things real by showing you raw footage so you can pick up the details. This is not a tourist video although tourists can use it to gauge what the streets and people are like in the city of San Fernando.

PARAMIN TRINIDAD and Tobago Part 2 Road Trip Caribbean JBManCave.com

Part 2: Road trip to PARAMIN, a village in the Mountains of Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean. In this video, I take different roads to show you areas of Paramin not covered in Part 1. There are some who are sensitive to my comments about the surroundings -- these people are usually newcomers to JB's Man Cave. In no way, am I putting down people's houses or their economic status -- that is just ridiculous to assume. What I do talk about is the TRASH and GARBAGE that people leave around -- it is not outsiders doing that -- it is people from the area. This is NOT unique to Paramin this happens all over the country and I have made many videos about it. To believe otherwise is to live in an illusion about the reality of how things are in Trinidad with regards to how we keep our surroundings -- we CAN do a lot better. Also, I prefer green over concrete, blocks and structures that do little or nothing to enhance the country or an area -- taking care of your premises has nothing to do with class or how much money you have it has to do with community spirit!

Eating Tour of Sangre Grande, Trinidad & Tobago ???????? Foodie Nation

Recently, we were invited to eat our way through Sangre Grande, Trinidad and Tobago ???????? by Hakeem, a young up-and-coming chef from the area. We started off at Cafe Grande, where we enjoyed their salmon, mashed potatoes and vegetables, we then stopped to take pictures at Scrunter’s Forest, a landmark in Sangre Grande. We then visited Chefanie’s for some Venezuelan food, followed by a drive to Ojoe Road to check out Kings Strip Restaurant and Creamy Roll Ice Cream, here we enjoyed some of their popular wings, pasta, quesadillas, and of course ice cream!

After all of that, we were forced to reopen our stomachs to accommodate some bess punch from Natures Promotions on the Eastern Main Road, these included beetroot and sea moss of course. To end off the night we went to check our foodie friend, Camille of Simply Made Pizzeria, for some (meat-filled) pizza and beer! All in all it was a very enjoyable experience getting to see and taste a different side of Sangre Grande and East, Trinidad. We definitely recommend that you visit and eat your way through the area!
