PUEBLA - PACHUCA Sin pagar Casetas

Sree Thrisakthi Amman Temple, Navalur, Chennai

Sree Thrisakthi Amman Temple

THRISAKTHI AMMAN TEMPLE is located in a small, calm, and quiet village of thazhambur, 1km away from Navalur, a busy place with an urban look, in the old mahabalipuram road connecting Chennai, the capital city of Tamilnadu and mahabalipuram, a tourists’ center noted for its sculptural marvels created by the pallava kings. The distance from Chennai to the temple proper is about 25km and from the Chennai airport, about 30kms by road. Temples are citadels of our rich heritage and nerve centres of spiritualism. Construction of a temple involves huge capital investment for making tall gopurams, many pillared halls, high Dwajasthambam, artistical sanctum sanctorum, sculptured images of deities and other indispensables parts and paraphernalia. Generally, only kings and aristocrats involve in the construction of temples.

La Scala Sancta: Pilgrims Climb Steps on Hands and Knees, Rome

Devout Catholics climb the steps they believe Jesus climbed to stand before Ancient Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate.
Climbing the steps on hands and knees is an act of Catholic Penance and hard on the knees.
The twenty eight steps which are now protected by wooden boards were transported from Jerusalem to Rome, in the 4th century by Saint Helena.
