Hoy caminamos por el Paseo de la Costa en la zona norte del Gran Buenos Aires
La Avenida del Libertador General San Martín, usualmente conocida como Avenida del Libertador, es una importante avenida de la ciudad de Buenos Aires y de la zona norte del Gran Buenos Aires.
Asimismo, funciona como eje vertebral del tránsito sur-norte en los partidos de Vicente López y San Isidro, junto a la Avenida Maipú y la Autopista Panamericana.
Nace en el barrio porteño de Retiro y finaliza luego de 35 kilómetros de recorrido en el canal San Fernando, límite entre los partidos de San Fernando y Tigre. Debe su nombre al General José de San Martín, héreo patrio de las guerras de independencia de Argentina, Chile y Perú.
Comienza en Retiro, donde pasa de llamarse Avenida L. N. Alem a llamarse Avenida del Libertador. Luego continúa paralela al Río de la Plata por los barrios de Recoleta, Palermo, Belgrano y Núñez. Cruza en forma perpendicular la Avenida General Paz y sigue su curso por la zona norte del Gran Buenos Aires, atravesando los partidos de Vicente López, San Isidro y San Fernando, donde llega a su fin.
Si bien el nombre de la avenida no cambia en todo su recorrido, la numeración depende del distrito: en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires se numera del 1 al 8700, en el partido de Vicente López de 1 al 4200, en el partido de San Isidro de 12900 a 18300 (retomando la numeración de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires), y en el partido de San Fernando de 3900 a 1.
Antiguamente era la Ruta Nacional 195. Mediante el Decreto Nacional 1595 del año 1979 se prescribió que el tramo desde la Avenida General Paz hasta San Fernando (14,5 km) pasara a jurisdicción provincial. La Provincia de Buenos Aires se hizo cargo del mismo en 1988, cambiando su denominación a Ruta Provincial 195. Actualmente es parte de la Ruta Provincial 27.

Today we walk through the Paseo de la Costa in the north of Greater Buenos Aires
Avenida del Libertador General San Martín, usually known as Avenida del Libertador, is an important avenue in the city of Buenos Aires and in the northern part of Greater Buenos Aires.
Likewise, it functions as the backbone of south-north traffic in the Vicente López and San Isidro districts, along with Avenida Maipú and the Pan-American Highway.
It was born in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Retiro and ends after 35 kilometers of travel on the San Fernando channel, the border between the San Fernando and Tigre districts. It owes its name to General José de San Martín, patriotic hero of the wars of independence in Argentina, Chile and Peru.
It begins in Retiro, where it goes from being called Avenida L. N. Alem to being called Avenida del Libertador. Then it continues parallel to the Río de la Plata through the neighborhoods of Recoleta, Palermo, Belgrano and Núñez. It crosses Avenida General Paz perpendicularly and continues its course through the northern part of Greater Buenos Aires, crossing the districts of Vicente López, San Isidro and San Fernando, where it ends.
Although the name of the avenue does not change throughout its length, the numbering depends on the district: in the City of Buenos Aires it is numbered from 1 to 8700, in the Vicente López district from 1 to 4200, in the San Isidro district from 12900 to 18300 (taking up the numbering of the City of Buenos Aires), and in the San Fernando district from 3900 to 1.
Formerly it was National Route 195. By means of National Decree 1595 of 1979 it was prescribed that the section from General Paz Avenue to San Fernando (14.5 km) should pass to provincial jurisdiction. The Province of Buenos Aires took charge of it in 1988, changing its name to Provincial Route 195. Currently it is part of Provincial Route 27.

Ideal para pasar una tarde en picnic, frente al río, acceso publico y gratuito. Podes ir en auto, Tren de la costa ( Marina Nueva estacion ) o en bicicleta, en este ultimo caso infelizmente no permiten ingresar al predio con bicicleta. Cuentan con un sector exclusivo para su estacionamiento, pero no recomiendo dejar la bici alli si tenes previsto pasar algunas horas. Si bien hay policias, no pueden cuidar este sector.
Se puede pescar, en el area de pesca de la costanera ( sector izquierdo del predio )
ES IDEAL PARA PASAR UNA TARDE EN FAMILIA.. la COSTANERA CUENTA CON DISTINTAS ALTERNATIVAS GASTRONOMICAS ( FOODTRUCKS ) , JUEGOS PARA CHICOS, CALESITA, BAÑOS PUBLICOS BIEN MANTENIDOS, AREA PARA PESCAR , Y ESTACIONAMIENTO.
Desde la Estacion MARINA NUEVA ( Tren de la Costa ) hasta la COSTANERA PUBLICA DE SAN FERNANDO hay aprox 3 cuadras 0:36
Si van en auto, Av del Libertador, doblar en calle del Arca ( Mc Donalds y Burguer King como referencias ) y seguir hasta el río, hasta alli son 10 cuadras aprox.
