San Pedro Cholula is part of the bigger city of Cholula. Cholula is located in Puebla, Mexico. It is located just to the east of Mexico City.
In this vlog we are visiting the central square. Cholula is best known for the Great Pyramid of Cholula.
Pictured in the main square is the Parroquia de San Pedro Cholula. You can see the damage caused to this church by the earthquake, as well as some of the other buildings in the area.
We are walking by parks, and play grounds. This is a beautiful spot to spend the afternoon, or morning in our case. It is close to the Pyramid, so it makes for a great stop along the way!
This video is in English, but has subtitles. It was English Subtitles, French Subtitles, and Spanish Subtitles.

Cholula, Mexico - Most people have heard of Puebla, but just a short train ride away is the city of Cholula. It is a pueblo mágico in its own right and is home to some beautiful cathedrals and churches that are definitely worth a visit. With the fast transportation between the two cities, this is definitely a worthy day trip to make from Puebla to get the feel of a charming pueblo mágico in Mexico.

What to do in Cholula Mexico | Cholula Pyramid and Beautiful Churches
The Cholula pyramid is the world's largest pyramid! The base is 4 times larger as the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. The state of Puebla in Mexico is home to this pyramid and many beautiful churches. The church built on top of the pyramid is the Santuario de la Virgen de los Remedios, but there are other beautiful churches in Cholula (and Puebla) like the Templo de San Francisco de Acatepec and the Parroquia de San Pedro. Unfortunately the ruins were closed during our visit this year in 2021, but we have been before so we included earlier footage of the ruins.

La Cholula prehispánica fue una gran metrópolis habitada durante miles de años. Pensó Hernán Cortés, al ver la cantidad de teocalis imaginó que se podría orar en un templo distinto cada día del año. Sobre esos santuarios indígenas se construyeron templos; y hoy Cholula tiene 37 iglesias, algo sorprendente para una ciudad de su tamaño.

????????In this video we're heading to Cholula, YES it's the BIGGEST pyramid in the world (in terms of overall size, not height), located close to Puebla in Central Mexico, which itself is just 2 hours on the bus from Mexico City.
If you're looking for places to visit in Mexico or even as a (slightly long) day trip from CDMX, Cholula provides a great opportunity to not only visit this awesome sight but also learn more about Mexican history, Puebla itself, Popcatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes and more.
On the top of the pyramid (which isn't fully excavated, it looks like a large hill) is a church built by the Spanish in the 1600s. Inside you can marvel at the beautiful interior, chandelier and listen to traditional Mexican music, as well as have an amazing view!
You can also visit the museum and archaeological zone....it's a must do while you're in Mexico!

Cholula (Cholula de Rivadavia) – miasto w Meksyku położone w stanie Puebla. W indiańskim języku nahuatl miasto nosiło nazwę Cholöllan lub Chol-öl-tlan co oznacza miejsce ucieczki, w którym spada woda. Cholula jest położona 15 km na zachód od miasta Puebla na wysokości 2135 metrów nad poziomem morza i dzieli się na trzy jednostki administracyjne: Santa Isabel, San Andrés Cholula i San Pedro Cholula. San Pedro Cholula zamieszkuje ok. 100 tys. ludzi, San Andrés Cholula liczy 50 tys. mieszkańców. Santa Isabel ma natomiast charakter bardziej rolniczy.
Cholula słynie głównie z położonej w jej granicach Wielkiej Piramidy, która jest największą objętościowo strukturą jaką kiedykolwiek wybudował człowiek. Jedno z podań głosi, że piramida ta została wybudowana jako ratunek przed mogącym się powtórzyć kataklizmem. Inna wersja głosiła, że budowlę wzniósł władca olbrzymów Xelhua chcąc dotrzeć do nieba i strącić bogów. Jednak Tezcatlipoca rozbił ich piorunami. Wierzono, że wyłamanie kamieni z piramidy doprowadzi do błyskawicznej powodzi[.
Obecnie miasto jako część obszaru metropolitarnego Puebli jest ośrodkiem nocnego życia. W jego centrum znajdują się liczne bary i restauracje
