Acompáñanos a esta exigente pero fabulosa travesía por las selvas PANAMELAS A ESTAS EMBLEMATICAS CASCADAS DEL EL GRAN TIFE y TIFE 2 ,que fueron 3 días de emocionantes aventuras por la cordillera central Mesoamericana de este hermoso pais.

Este sitio es el más top o lugar que recomiendo visitar en la región es ‘El Gran Tife’, una imponente cascada en el corazón de la selva en la vertiente del Caribe dentro del parque Nacional General de División Omar Torrijos Herrera, para llegar hay que caminar aproximadamente 10 a 14 horas en total entre lomas, lodo, selva y ríos, es una aventura extrema”,
El “Gran Tife” es una súper cascada, además en la misma aventura se visita una segunda cascada más pequeña pero igual grande, por lo que esta dura travesía vale verdaderamente la pena.
El turismo a esta región, pese a que no está bien potencializada, ha traído grandes beneficios para los moradores en cuanto a la activación económica para los locales, ya que cada turista aporta económicamente a los guías de turismo, los artesanos, las tiendas, el transporte, las fondas, los mercaditos, entre otras cosas.

Tipo de sendero: Ida y vuelta
Duración de recorrido: 4-6 horas (ida) hasta llegar al Tiffe, y 5-7 horas (vuelta) - Se recomienda acampar en comunidad de Caño Sucio y regresar el día siguiente
Distancia: 11.8 km (7.3 miles) hasta el Tiffe – 23.6 (14.6 miles) ida y vuelta
Descenso: 1132 m (3,713 ft.)
Altura max: 905 m ( 2,969 ft.)
Atractivos: Vistas, bosque, comunidad, río, cascada, vida silvestre
Actividades: Trekking, avistar vida silvestre, acampar, bañarse en el Rio Blanco
Uso: Alto (uso comunitario)
Nivel de Dificultad - Difícil: Actividad requiere buenas condiciones físicas. Rutas podrían pasar por zonas en mal estado o donde no existe un sendero marcado, o cuando el terreno está muy inclinado.

Travel - Panama 2022 - Episode 9, Dinner at The Firefly in Bastimentos, Bocas Del Toro, Panama
I honestly still can’t believe that this evening happened……there was nothing you could change to have made it better…except maybe having no Chitras! And, insider tip about those chitras….call the Firefly as soon as you arrive on Bastimentos and arrange to buy a bottle of their all natural chitra repellent! I bought the last bottle the moment I saw it, I was so desperate for relief of the bites on my legs. I opened that bottle and slathered it all over my legs…it is coconut oil based and it was amazing! It has lemongrass in it as well. Whatever the stuff it’s, it’s magic and I’ll never travel to Panama without it again! Too bad I found this miracle concoction on my last night! Ok. Enough about the chitra relief. Let’s talk food. I’m sorry, I’m apologizing right up front to you. A sincere apology. Because I failed you all. I took almost no pictures or video of our food! And the food was absolutely something to write home about. Serious. Delicious. No kidding. You. Must. Get. The. Green. Curry.
Ok, actually, you must get one of everything and pass it around the table! Did you here me??
And totally plan to have maybe one or two drinks too many and then lay out on the lounge chairs and listen to the ocean while waiting for your dinner. Take time after dinner to be completely enthralled by the moon glistening off the water….
So, arrive in Bastimentos. Call The Firefly and make your reservation. Come hungry. Come ready to have some cocktails. Maybe go for some yoga when they offer that, I can only imagine how magical it would have been. Next trip! I guess we have to go back! Who wants to go with us? El Pelicano has 5 suites…. Who is ready to go?
The only sad part in this episode is that it’s our last day in Bastimentos. After this, it’s a flight back to the big city of Panama City but don’t worry, I’ve got a few adventures up my sleeve for you……
