⭕️ Cómo Llegar A Hierve El Agua y Descubrir El Bello Misterio Geológio De Oaxaca T3 E06

Temporada 3 Episodio 6

Chacahua: Going up the Lighthouse! (On the Coast of Oaxaca) ????????

Watch the next video on the other side of the estuary:

Watch the video before:

Chacahua: going up the lighthouse on the coast of Oaxaca!

In this video we go from Mazunte to Chacahua, this rather isolated and is a not easy to reach place in Oaxaca, close to Puerto Escondido. The first time I looked it up in Google map it did not even show me the correct location! Anyway, we had our car and asked people in Mazunte for exact directions, so we found our way there.

The road really seems to get in the middle of a jungle that leads to nowhere, especially the fact that we arrived at night felt strange! But we arrived as planned on the west side of Chacahua at night, where we still needed to cross the laguna over to the other side. Because it was late, we decided to sleep on the west side.

The guy that helped us seemed helpful at first but afterward, everything about it seems a little fake and interested in money. He invited us for coffee in the morning etc. You can do it and I think it could be a great time but only if you are not traveling on a budget. If you are trying to keep your costs low, you should never take the opportunities of the first persons you meet especially if it comes from them. Always go by yourself find a place to stay and check a couple of options before choosing one. The reason I am saying this is that he charged us more than discussed for the parking in the end because we just continued on our own. I feel a bit stupid because I have all this experience and knowledge traveling in the past on a budget but suddenly forgot all about it. But it was also late, and we were tired and we didn’t pay that much, I think it could have been really worse in terms of price. A room for two in Chacahua should be found around 400 pesos if there are not many tourists, and it should be less on the west side of the laguna.

Anyway, the next day we went to explore around and went up the lighthouse on top of the hill. I thought at first we could enter inside, but it was actually possible, which turned out into an amazing urbex (urban exploration).

Chacahua is also quite unique with an afromexican community and is a pretty untouched national park. I will post a second video for the other half of our stay in Chacahua on the other side!

The video series is intended to be an entertaining experience, but if you have questions or want some tips, just ask them in the comment section and I’ll be glad to respond :)

I film with my phone, as well as my Fujifilm DSLR camera which I love. If you like the look it creates, you can buy the kit with the same 18-55 lens kit I use through this link (I will get a small commission that helps me to keep on going with this channel):
If it's out of stock you can get the former model which is cheaper and just as good:
