Se ubica al norte de la ciudad capital distrito de San José de Lourdes a 1213 msnm, conocer este impresionante recurso turístico y lleno de aventura se toma la carretera del puerto Chinchipe con destino al caserío Gramalotes, (16 Km) de distancia hasta el caserío, desde este punto hacia la chorrera se camina 40 minutos, y desde San Ignacio hasta la chorrera de los peroles negros hay 2 Horas 30 minutos 36 Km de distancia
El bosque del cerro tablón almacena gran cantidad agua que se desprende a gran velocidad por cañones de piedra que en su recorrido se establecen pequeñas cascadas y chorreras que en su paso el agua ha talla huecos rocosos de 1 m de diámetro y de ½ m de profundidad en forma de peroles que se comunican entre ellos dando inicio a una hermosa chorrera y refrescante Chorrera de 10 m. de altura; sus aguas frías y de color oscuro forma una laguna de aproximadamente 20 por 15 m. de diámetro ideal para vacacionar con la familia.
