Die Panoramatour - Montefiore Conca

Schwierigkeitsgrad: SCHWER
Entfernung: 122 KM

ROMAGNA. The Italian land of dolce vita

Romagna, pleased to meet you
What makes us so special
A smile
In Romagna we have fun all day, every day. Smiling brings with it many benefits and the one that stands out in particular is our ability to live every minute of the day with joy and a positive approach: Romagna, just saying it brings a smile to your face.
With our feet in the sand
Where can you sip a delicious coffee with wonderful sea views, surrounded by sandcastles, relax doing yoga at dawn or walk barefoot on the sand until the sun finally sets? So many questions, but only one answer - in Romagna.
The wonder of nature
Parks and nature reserves that will amaze visitors, along paths and in underground caves where you can abandon yourselves to the charm of unspoilt nature, rich in colours, sounds and vitality that will help you leave behind the hubbub of the city and tune into the bellows of the deer or the song of the nightingales.
Two thousand years of history
The land that Julius Caesar chose to lay the foundations of the Roman Empire: stubborn, strong and brave, just like the noble leader. We look to the future, proud of our roots and the past millennia that made Romagna the cradle of one of the most important civilisations.
In every city a castle
A land of beauty and fortresses, memories of the past and the great seignories enclosed in our castles, symbols of power and wealth that still astound us thanks to their majesty, the imposing remains of a history with a thousand different facets.
The land of champions
People born in Romagna learn to ride a bicycle before they learn to walk. Here, any excuse is a good excuse to get on our bikes and set off around our hills, mountains and parks; every ride affords a wonderful sensation of freedom and sights of rare beauty.
The world’s biggest restaurant
Mention great food and Romagna immediately springs to mind. The flavours of our land are an asset we honour every day at the table, always in great company. Passion, culture and tradition are the ingredients that make our food an Italian excellence around the world.
The hospitality of culture
The land of Romagna is millennia old with a rich heritage of monuments, great names and works of art in a blend of ancient history, cinema and theatre. In our cities we are surrounded by timeless artistic delights, bearing witness to a land that is keen to preserve and is rightly proud of its past.

La Meridiana Resort & Golf – the name chosen in honor of the nearby Castello del Carretto, known as Della Meridiana - opened its doors to guests in 1977 and already in 1978 joined the prestigious Relais & Chateaux chain. This boutique hotel in Liguria offers 25 comfortable rooms, all different, making each stay unique and exclusive. Located in Liguria - halfway between Monaco and Portofino - this delightful, charming hotel was designed and built-in 1971 by Luisa Berto de Segre, a few years after her sister Teresa Berto de Galleani had built the nearby golf course at eighteen holes, the beautiful Clubhouse, and the houses that line the golf course. Everything is designed in neighboring Provence style - large arches and canopies, exposed stones, roofs in ancient tiles, warm and sunny colors.

La Meridiana - this is the name chosen in honor of the adjacent Castello del Carretto, called Della Meridiana - opens its doors to guests in 1977 and already in 1978 became part of the prestigious French chain Relais & Chateaux. Alessandra and Edmondo, as genuine owners of the house, where luxury lies in hospitality and attention to detail, give the hotel a very personal elegance, full of authenticity, sharing with guests the fruits of their passions.

Interior decorations, gardening, and flowers are Alessandra's passions, and pretty fresh flower arrangements are always present in the lobby and at the restaurant's top tables. Edmondo was amazed by his endless wine list. You will find an exquisite selection of the best Italian wines with rare vintages of the most famous wine growers and most quoted emerging producers. Each evening Edmondo will welcome you in Il Rosmarino Restaurant or Il Bistrot to embark on a journey of discovery of Liguria.

Alessandra and Edmondo, as masters of a home where luxury is made of hospitality and attention to detail, give the hotel a personalized elegance, full of authenticity, sharing their passions with guests. The decoration of the rooms, the garden's care, and the plants are Alessandra's passions, and the graceful compositions of fresh flowers never fail in the hall and the restaurant. Edmondo amazes with its endless wine list. A splendid collection of the best Italian wines with rare vintages of the most famous winemakers and the newest listed emerging producers. You will always find it in the evening to welcome you to the Il Rosmarino restaurant or at the Bistrot to accompany you in the discovery of Liguria. Born in Turin, Edmondo deeply loves Liguria and its aromas, the scent of thyme, sage, and delicate basil. Always research the best products on the market, local artisans, the most ancient traditions. Attentive discoverer of talents, Carlo Cracco, Kasten Heidsieck, Ernst Kim, Luigi Taglienti passed through his kitchen.

In a more informal environment, but always warm and welcoming, the Bistrot de la Meridiana Hotel & Golf Resort offers the Albenga plain's freshest products, offering them simple and tasty preparations. Open every day for lunch until lunch by the pool, the Bistrot is one of the best gourmet restaurants in Liguria, reserving a special place for the typical local cuisine: ravioli with borage and ricotta, pesto-flavored traffic, minestrone Ligurian style, potato and anchovy patties, stuffed pumpkin flowers ... Olive paté and hot focaccia, panissa, and other delicious specialties await you for a simple and quick meal. At the Bistrot de la Meridiana Hotel & Golf Resort, meat and fish are often prepared in small pieces with the addition of Pigato wine and tasty black taggiasche olives.

Worthy of being part of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux, La Meridiana Hotel & Golf Resort invites you to the ideal place to discover the true Ligurian cuisine. Open only in the evening. Il Rosmarino restaurant is lit by a discreet light that illuminates the olive tree on the inner patio. The flame of the candles on the white tablecloths of white linen makes the atmosphere magical and brings out the details: antique silverware, nineteenth-century paintings, delightful flower arrangements. The simple homemade pasta, freshly baked bread and breadsticks, focaccia, and marinate blend in with the Il Rosmarino restaurant with the Chef's elaborate preparations, which reproduces the cuisine of the rich canteens of the ancient popes and Genoese doges, such as the refined thin capon, artistic preparation of vegetables, fish and shellfish. All the dishes, tasty and at the same time very delicate, find the ideal combination in the Rosmarino cellar where the best wines of the region and Italians rest.

Per accedere all’edificio occorre scendere.

Places to see in ( Milan - Italy ) Duomo di Milano - Milan Cathedral

Places to see in ( Milan - Italy ) Duomo di Milano - Milan Cathedral

Milan Cathedral is the cathedral church of Milan, Lombardy, Italy. Dedicated to St Mary of the Nativity, it is the seat of the Archbishop of Milan, currently Archbishop Mario Delpini. The Gothic cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete. It is the largest church in Italy (the larger St. Peter's Basilica is in the State of Vatican City) and the third largest in the world.

Milan's layout, with streets either radiating from the Duomo or circling it, reveals that the Duomo occupies what was the most central site in Roman Mediolanum, that of the public basilica facing the forum. The first cathedral, the new basilica (basilica nuova) dedicated to St Thecla, was completed by 355. It seems to share, on a slightly smaller scale, the plan of the contemporaneous church recently rediscovered beneath Tower Hill in London.

Duomo di Milano was built over several hundred years in a number of contrasting styles and the quality of the workmanship varies markedly. Reactions to it have ranged from admiration to disfavour. The Guida d’Italia: Milano 1998 (Touring Club Editore, p. 154) points out that the early Romantics tended to praise it in “the first intense enthusiasms for Gothic.” As the Gothic Revival brought in a purer taste, condemnation was often equally intense.

The interior of the cathedral includes numerous monuments and artworks. These include:

At the left of the altar is located the most famous statue of all the Cathedral, the Saint Bartholomew Flayed (1562), by Marco d'Agrate, the saint shows his flayed skin thrown over his shoulders like a stole.
The Archbishop Alberto da Intimiano's sarcophagus, which is overlooked by a Crucifix in copper laminae (a replica).
The sarcophagi of the archbishops Ottone Visconti and Giovanni Visconti, created by a Campionese master in the 14th century.
The sarcophagus of Marco Carelli, who donated 35,000 ducati to accelerate the construction of the cathedral.
The three magnificent altars by Pellegrino Pellegrini, which include the notable Federico Zuccari's Visit of St. Peter to St. Agatha jailed.
In the right transept, the monument to Gian Giacomo Medici di Marignano, called Medeghino, by Leone Leoni, and the adjacent Renaissance marble altar, decorated with gilt bronze statues.
The presbytery is a late Renaissance masterpiece composing a choir, a Temple by Pellegrini, two pulpits with giant atlantes covered in copper and bronze, and two large organs. Around the choir the two sacristies' portals, some frescoes and a fifteenth-century statue of Martin V by Jacopino da Tradate) can be seen.
The transepts house the Trivulzio Candelabrum, which is in two pieces. The base (attributed to Nicolas of Verdun, 12th century), characterized by a fantastic ensemble of vines, vegetables and imaginary animals; and the stem, of the mid-16th century.
In the left aisle, the Arcimboldi monument by Alessi and Romanesque figures depicting the Apostles in red marble and the neo-Classic baptistry by Pellegrini.
A small red light bulb in the dome above the apse marks the spot where one of the nails reputedly from the Crucifixion of Christ has been placed. The Holy Nail is retrieved and exposed to the public every year, during a celebration known as the Rite of the Nivola.
In November–December, in the days surrounding the birthdate of Saint Charles Borromeo, a series of large canvases, the Quadroni are exhibited along the nave.
Since September 2005, in the cathedral’s crypt, beside the relics of Saint Charles Borromeo, there has been a video installation by English artist Mark Wallinger. Entitled Via Dolorosa, it consists of a 18 minutes film reproducing scenes of the Passion excerpted from the film Jesus of Nazareth by Franco Zeffirelli.
In November 2014 a white marble sculpture by Tony Cragg inspired to the Madonna statue on the rooftop was installed.
The 5-manual, 225-rank pipe-organ, built jointly by the Tamburini and Mascioni Italian organbuilding firms on Mussolini's command, is currently the largest organ in all of Italy.

( Milan - Italy ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Milan . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Milan - Italy
