OAXACA, MEXICO | The Perfect Oaxaca Travel Itinerary (Coast to the Mountains in 2-3 weeks)

Oaxaca lies in the southwest of Mexico. It’s made up of a vast coastline and rugged mountains, with narrow valleys, canyons and ravines between them. Oaxaca is best known for its unique cuisine as well as its indigenous people and cultures. The largest indigenous groups are the Zapotecs and the Mixtecs, but there are sixteen groups that are officially recognized. These cultures have survived better than most others in Mexico thanks to the state's isolating terrain and commitment to honoring traditions. In this video, we will show you the perfect Oaxaca itinerary. This itinerary is recommended for at least a 14 day stay in Oaxaca and can be completed by public transportation, rental car, or a mix of both!

Stop 1: Puerto Escondido
How to get here: Direct flights from Mexico City and Guadalajara
Recommended stay: 3-5 days

Stop 2: Mazunte
How to get here: Bus from Puerto Escondido to Pochutla and tell the bus driver that you want to get off at San Antonio. From there, you’ll have to take a taxi or local collectivo.
Recommended stay: 1-2 days

Stop 3: Zipolite
How to get here: 20-minute taxi ride from Mazunte
Recommended stay: 1-2 days

Stop 4: San José del Pacifico
How to get here: Bus from Lineas Unidas Bus station in Zipolite directly to José del Pacifico
Recommended stay: 2-3 days

Stop 5: Oaxaca City
How to get here: Bus from San José del Pacifico main road to Oaxaca City (bus leaves every hour)
Recommended stay: 7 days including day trips as mentioned below

Stop 6: Mitla
How to get there? Take a bus or rent a car from Oaxaca City, which will take you here in approximately 1 hour.
Recommended stay: day trip

Stop 7: Hierve el Agua
How to get there? Located 70 kms or 43 miles from Oaxaca City, this is another site you can do as a day trip. You can rent a car or take a tour from Oaxaca. Alternatively, you can come by collectivo from Mitla.
Recommended stay: day trip

Stop 8: Pueblos Mancomunados
How to get there? There are buses to Cuajimoloyas and Benito Juárez that leave from the “second class” bus station in Oaxaca City a few times a day. The driver will drop you off near the “tourist office” where you can book your activities and accommodation.
Recommended stay: 1-5 days

Where to next?
After exploring the highlights of Oaxaca, you can continue your journey across other states in Mexico. The most common travel route goes to the southeast to San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas. It’s possible to take the ADO night bus from Oaxaca City, which takes about 12 hours.

Alternatively, you can head to the north towards Puebla and Mexico City. Puebla is another beautiful city and gateway to the surrounding mountains and volcanoes. It takes about 4 hours to get here.

HUATULCO Mexico’s MOST Underrated BEACH TOWN

Huatulco, Huatulco, Huatulco! WOW! If you find yourself in Mexico or looking for your next Mexican Beach Vacation look no further - Huatulco Oaxaca Mexico is the spot!

Huatulco Mexico has some of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico - and in this video we show you two of the most popular, Playa Santa Cruz and Playa la Entrega. Oaxaca beaches in general are outstanding but in Huatulco the water is so unbelievably blue and super calm so you can swim.

Huatulco is home to 9 bays and over 36 beaches! Bahia Tangolunda is where you’ll find the exclusive resorts, Bahia Santa Cruz the tourist activities, and La Crucecita is the downtown. Huatulco blew us away with it’s cleanliness and authenticity and we can’t wait to make a trip back to Huatulco Oaxaca!

Riverwalk | San Antonio, Texas | Where to Eat | Best Restaurants | Panadería | Domingo | Boudro's

San Antonio is a large city in south-central Texas with a rich colonial heritage. Home to over 1 ½ million people, it is the 7th largest city in the U.S. It is home to the Alamo, an 18th-century Spanish mission preserved to remember the 1836 battle for Texas independence from Mexico. San Antonio also features the Tower of the Americas, a 750 foot tall observatory built for the 1968 World's Fair. But the #1 attraction in the area is the famed San Antonio Riverwalk, a bustling area filled with restaurants, shops, and cultural experiences.

Okay, so La Panadería is not actually on the Riverwalk. It is a few hundred feet away on Houston Street. But it was here four years ago that Guy Fieri featured this latin bakery on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. He bragged on the Tequila-Almond Croissants, but I couldn’t pass up the Tres Leches Croissant. Brothers José and David Cáceres (KAH-seh-res) have combined old school Mexican bakery methods with the best of French, Italian and American influences. Additionally, they serve up cafe foods all day long, including out of this world breakfast sandwiches, morning meals like Ranchero Eggs Benedict and French Toast, Tortas (Mexican sandwiches), and creative salads. But you are indeed amiss if you don’t try their coffees, breads, and pastries. Visit the Riverwalk if you want the iconic atmosphere, but make the short trip to La Panadería if you want the best baked goods in the great state of Texas.

Opened in April of 2021, Domingo Restaurante is billed as a “tribute to South Texas cuisine.” Executive chef Arturo Treviño turns out ceviche appetizers, tacos, a short rib quesadilla, green chile enchiladas, and a Sonoran-style crispy hot dog. Agave-based cocktails accompany a nice selection of craft beers and wines. Many of the recent customers have dubbed this “their new San Antonio favorite” - and I was able to clearly see why. Domingo’s attention to detail on items such as their breakfast potatoes quickly won me over. I expect this to be one of San Antonio’s new go-to diners on the Riverwalk.

Boudro’s Texas Bistro is what many describe as a treasured local eating tradition found right on the famed San Antonio Riverwalk. It is easy to see why Esquire Magazine dubbed this as one of the 50 best restaurants in the country. Executive chef Danny Ibarra serves up wood-grilled steaks and seafood dishes that are prepared with a South Texas influence and a fine restaurant flare. But Boudro’s is perhaps best known for their tableside guacamole preparation, a mesmerizing opener that pairs well with their list of adored cocktails - including their prickly pear margaritas. The riverside patio is perfect to soak in the atmosphere and dine on some of the most highly rated foods that the Riverwalk has to offer.

Big Bend National Park - 10 Things to Do!

These are 10 things you can do in Big Bend National Park! At over 800,000 acres, it is one of the largest, yet least visited national parks in the United States. If you enjoy hiking, canoeing, sight-seeing, stargazing or soaking in natural hot springs, this is the park for you. Here you can explore the flora and fauna of the Chihuahuan desert, hike the Chisos Mountains or paddle down through several amazing canyons on the Rio Grande, which serves as the international border with Mexico. We loved Big Bend so much that we visited it on two separate trips in December 2017 and 2018.

THEY told me NOT to COME HERE! | TORREÓN, Coahuila | Travel MEXICO 2021 | MEXICAN Food! | 4K ????????

TORREÓN, COAHUILA, Mexico - Hola! In this Travel Mexico video, we travel from Durango to the neighbouring state of Coahuila, more specifically, to the city of Torreón! They told me not to come here (ie everyone) due to the fact that it's supposedly not the safest city in Mexico and there's nothing to do. Unsurprisingly, 'they' were WRONG!

This video (in 4k) covers some first impressions of Torreón, we eat some amazing street food at a local market (lonches!), and head up the Teleférico to Cerro de las Noas, known for a particular type of cactus common across northern Mexican states and wait for it, the tallest CHRIST statue in NORTH AMERICA!!

If you're thinking about moving to Mexico or becoming one of the increasing number of expats in Mexico, your choices aren't limited to popular areas like Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Cancun or Puerto Vallarta. Durango/Coahuila are states that, granted, you'll need to be able to speak Spanish in, but the city and state has so much to offer, just as much as those other places!

HOW TO EXPERIENCE BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK, TEXAS | 3 Night/4 Day Itinerary

This video is all about how to experience Big Bend National Park in Texas. We spent 3 nights and 4 days in the area and loved it! We'll help you figure out where to stay and what to do while you're here.

Big Bend was the highlight of our time in Texas and we would highly recommend exploring here and taking at least a few days to do so. The landscapes are very impressive and there's a surprising amount of wildlife for how rugged this place can be.

???????? TORREÓN, COAHUILA | Mexico's Most INCREDIBLE CITY! | Museo del FERROCARRIL | MEXICO TRAVEL 2022

???????? TORREÓN, MEXICO - Welcome back to Torreón, Coahuila, one of my favourite cities in Mexico! This is Part 24 of my 2022 Mexico Travel series! I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in Northern Mexico, previously filming 2 videos in Torreón in 2021, in addition to Durango, Nombre de Dios, Puente de Ojuela, Matamoros, Gómez Palacio and Lerdo. An INCREDIBLE area of Mexico!

Torreón can often be seen as just another regular, industrial city without the history of central and southern Mexico. Yes, it’s a younger city, but that doesn't mean it doesn’t have interesting history or decent food. In fact, the comida Mexicana (Mexican food) I’ve had here is the BEST I’ve had in Mexico (I’m not even joking!).

We visit Bosque Venustiano Carranza, Casa Ricardo Montalbán, Casa del Cerro, Museo del Ferrocarril (insane), and old classics Mercado Alianza, Paseo de Morelos, the Teleferico and Cristo de la Noas! Dios Mío! As you can see, there are so many things to do in Torreón!

You’re treated like a local in Torreón; there are very few tourists so you’re treated like a local… trust me - Something you cannot experience in a tourist area. People from Torreón are, as I say, ICONIC!

If you’re thinking of becoming expats in Mexico or moving to Mexico, you don’t have to move to San Miguel de Allende or Guanajuato. Somewhere like Torreón may not be traditionally ‘pretty’, but it still has a tremendous amount to offer!

Is this the most incredible city in Mexico?

Why go to Torreón Mexico? (A Guide for Gringos)

Torreon Mexico isn't in the guide books, but it should be! It's definitely a place worth stopping in to visit. It's known as the land of the noas where the cactus noa grows. It's part of the Laguna region in Coahuila Mexico.
Top sites to visit would be: Cristo de las Noas, Canal de la Perla, Arocena Museum, el Bosque Park.
Best shopping: Cimaco, Mercado Juarez
Mezcal Bar featured: La Perla

We get kicked out of an RV park in Arkansas!

We traveled to Arkansas with our Tiffin Allegro Bus in order to tour the Ranger Boat factory. In the meantime, we get kicked out of Denton Ferry RV Park and Resort in Cotter, AR and yes, we still had to pay the entire amount!

Worst RV Campground Ever // (And How we Saved our Weekend!)

***SHADY GROVE CAMPGROUND, DENVER PA***

One of our biggest camping fears came to life this past weekend as we pulled into possibly the worlds worst RV campground. While the spots were tight, the sewer connections were not and we found ourselves in a bad camping situation pretty quickly.

After a confusing run in with some of the seasonal campers, we decided it wasn't worth the stress we had to save our weekend - and in this case we only had one option. To hook our Shadow Cruiser Travel Trailer back up and head home.

Currently holding the record for our shortest camping trip (19 hours between check in and check out) it taught us a lot about vetting campgrounds, when to call it quits, and what red flags to look out for when looking for a place to camp with our travel trailer.

Official Taco of Del Rio | Molcajetes Restaurant | Del Rio, TX

If you’re from Del Rio, you’re probably no stranger to the GBC. GBC stands for “Guisado Bean & Cheese”, the most popular taco of Val Verde County. When it comes to GBC’s and authentic Mexican food, Molcajetes Restaurant does it best.

At Molcajetes, corn and flour tortillas are handmade every day. Classic meals are recreated that remind customers of grandmother’s/mother’s home cooking – and that’s the mission. Whether it’s Mexican seafood, traditional enchiladas, tacos or sopas, Molcajetes makes each plate fresh with a unique twist.

Like the Enmoladas: chicken enchiladas topped with mole sauce, or the Torre De Camaron: marinated shrimp layered with avocado, pico de gallo and cucumber. The house favorite is where the restaurant gets its namesake, the Molcajete, which is a combination of shrimp, fajitas, cheese, nopal, peppers, grilled onions with ranchero sauce and served in a giant mortar.

You won’t go hungry at Molcajetes in Del Rio!

Cincinnati Restaurant Review - El Coyote TexMex

Cincinnati Restaurant Review - El Coyote TexMex - Best steaks, chops and Mexican food in the Queen City of Cincinnati. In my opinion, El Coyote has the best filet mignon in town. The restaurant looks a bit sketch and swanky on the outside with its Swiss looking A-fram chalet type building, but on the inside the decor is cozy. They even have a warm gas fire in the back dining area that you can get a table next to if that's what youre looking for.

Cincinnati restaurants have had a tough time staying in business, but El Coyote, on the eastside in Anderson Township, has been around since I can remember. They have awesome sides like mashed potatoes, which you have to try, and their mac and cheese is good too. They also have a full bar. The other item I'd need to take with me if I was deserted on an island is their salsa. I think it's homemade but it's to die for.

If you're looking for the best steak or texmex in Cincinnati, be sure to drop by and try out El Coyote restaurant on the eastside in Anderson township.
