Today I travel to Cholula, Puebla, Mexico. This suburb of the city of Puebla is famous for its nightlife, and the giant, Great Aztec Pyramid that the city is built around.
I made my way from Puebla city by local bus, explored, climbed the ruins, interacted with locals, ate Mexican food, and eventually made my way back to the city proper.

What to do in Cholula Mexico | Cholula Pyramid and Beautiful Churches
The Cholula pyramid is the world's largest pyramid! The base is 4 times larger as the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. The state of Puebla in Mexico is home to this pyramid and many beautiful churches. The church built on top of the pyramid is the Santuario de la Virgen de los Remedios, but there are other beautiful churches in Cholula (and Puebla) like the Templo de San Francisco de Acatepec and the Parroquia de San Pedro. Unfortunately the ruins were closed during our visit this year in 2021, but we have been before so we included earlier footage of the ruins.

De viaje por mi ciudad? Entonces BIENVENIDOS A PUEBLA!! En este video te compartiré algunos de los puntos más icónicos de Puebla de Zaragoza, la capital del Estado de Puebla, ciudad donde he nacido y vivido la mayor parte de mi vida. Acompáñame a la Catedral más grande de México, a la Capilla del Rosario, un santuario católico cubierto de oro! También pasemos por la Biblioteca Palafoxiana y el Puente de Bubas, para conocer un poco sobre el pasado colonial de Puebla.

CHOLULA | Puebla, Mexico (4K/60FPS): Cholula, officially Cholula de Rivadavia, is a city and district located in the metropolitan area of Puebla, Mexico. Cholula is best known for its Great Pyramid, with the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios sanctuary on top, as well as its numerous churches.
The city and district of Cholula are divided into two: San Pedro Cholula and San Andrés Cholula. Surrounding the city proper is a number of more rural communities which belong to the municipalities of San Andrés and San Pedro. The city itself is divided into eighteen neighborhoods or barrios, each with a patron saint.
This division has pre-Hispanic origins as does the division into two municipalities. The city is unified by a complicated system of shared religious responsibilities, called cargas, which function mostly to support a very busy calendar of saints' days and other festivals which occur in one part or another almost all year round. The most important of these festivals is that dedicated to the Virgin of the Remedies, the patron of the city in its entirety, which occurs at the beginning of September. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth. Pre-Columbian Cholula grew from a small village to a regional center during the 7th century. It is the oldest still-inhabited city in the Americas.
