Vi porto a visitare Tenuta Pompea, una meravigliosa masseria in Salento, situata nelle campagne tra Casarano e Matino, a soli 10 km da Gallipoli.
Tenuta Pompea è una meravigliosa dimora rurale del XVII secolo, egregiamente restaurata e che mette a disposizione dei suoi ospiti:
- due grandi appartamenti indipendenti, uno a pian terreno e uno al piano superiore, ciascuno con 2 camere da letto matrimoniali e una camera da letto singola
- piscina con idromassaggio immerse nel verde
- campo da tennis e da calcetto
A disposizione degli ospiti, un orto biologico perfettamente coltivato e un pollaio da cui gli ospiti possono prelevare le uova fresche in ogni momento della giornata.
Inoltre, nel bosco di pini e di allori, ci si può distendere su amache e altalene per un pieno relax nel clima mediterraneo.

Salento is a geographic and historical region at the southern end of the administrative region of Apulia in Southern Italy. It is a sub-peninsula of the Italian Peninsula, sometimes described as the heel of the Italian boot. It encompasses the entire administrative area of the province of Lecce, a large part of the province of Brindisi and part of that of Taranto.
The peninsula is also known as Terra d'Otranto, and in the past Sallentina. In ancient times it was called variously Calabria or Messapia.

Im September duftet der Salento nach Ernte
Unterwegs in den Weinbergen von Chardonnay, Primitivo und Negroamaro in der Tenuta Schiena in der Region Francavilla Fontana im Salento, in Italiens Apulien.
Funkelnd wie die Liebe, wirkt die Pizzica, getanzt vor der Kulisse eines wunderschönen Sonnenuntergangs.

Auf dem Weingut Schiena in Francavilla Fontana im italienischen Salento ist nun die Zeit der Weinernte gekommen. Mit ihren geschickten und zarten Händen wiederholen die Frauen eine uralte Geste und sammeln Weintraube für Weintraube – den Nektar der Götter. Der Duft der gepflückten Trauben breitet sich in der Luft aus. Von hier stammt der Rugiada, ein Wein, der aus der Traube des Chardonnays gekeltert wird.
„Dieser Wein heißt Rugiada, Tau, weil er so frisch und durstlöschend ist wie die Tauperlen, die am frühen Morgen auf den Trauben und ihren Blättern liegen und deren Durst löschen“, erzählt uns der Winzer Giuseppe Schiena.
Wir gehen weiter über weiter über das Schiena-Anwesen mit seinen riesigen 28 Hektar Weinbergen voller Reben mit Negroamaro, Primitivo, Susumaniello, Chardonnay und Minutolo. Hier pflanzen die Männer junge Reben von Negroamaro, Primitivo, Susumaniello und Schwarzer Malvasia, die bald groß und stark und dann diese Weinberge zu neuem Leben erwecken werden.
Sonne und Trauben des Weins sind eine gewinnbringende Kombination. Wie viel Wissen und Liebe in jeder einzelnen Traube steckt, die mit den Lichtern der Morgen- und Abenddämmerung spielt! Vor der Ernte werden die von der Morgendämmerung geküssten Reben des Primitivos von den Blättern befreit, damit sie viel Sonne aufnehmen können. Während die Trauben, die den sehr warmen Strahlen des Sonnenunterganges ausgesetzt sind, länger durch die Blätter geschützt bleiben, wie uns Giuseppe Schiena erklärt.
„Im Morgengrauen sind die Sonnenstrahlen nicht sehr heiß, daher werden die Trauben, die auf der Seite gewachsen sind, wo sie vom ersten Morgenlichts überflutet werden, einige Tage vor der Ernte von ihren Blättern befreit. Da aber die Strahlen der untergehenden Sonne sehr heiß brennen, werden wiederum alle Trauben, die zu dieser Seite gewachsen sind erst einige Tage vor ihrer Ernte der direkten Hitze des Sonnenuntergangs ausgesetzt. Diese kleinen Geheimnisse sollten wir Winzer alle neidlos teilen. Wir müssen doch alle immer bessere Qualität bieten!“
Die Männer tragen auf ihren Schultern Eimer voller goldener Weintrauben. Die Ernte ist ein Fest! Mariella singt sorglos die Melodien italienischer Liebeslieder. Die Sonne geht langsam unter und taucht den Gutshof von Schiena in ihr goldenes warmes Licht.
Wein, Pizzica und Liebe sind die perfekte Kombination!
Matteo und Angelo spielen auf ihren Instrumenten nahe der Villa Castelli, zwischen den Rebenreihen, die typische Pizzica. Alessia ergänzt die Schönheit dieser Landschaft mit ihrem, sich zur kraftvollen Musik bewegenden Körper während sie die Schritte des traditionellen Tanzes des Salento immer schneller wiederholt. Die Pizzica, der Tanz der Tarantella für den das berühmte Taranta Night Festival geboren wurde.
Sie feiern hier diese besondere Zeit der Ernte aller künftigen Weine, die längst auf der ganzen Welt geschätzt werden.
Zur Feier werden die typischen Gerichte der Küche des Salento: Fave (pürierte Saubohnen) mit geschmorter Zichorie (wilde Wegwarte) und die berühmte Focaccia serviert. Alle Speisen wurden im eigenen Restaurant der Villa Castelli, Locanda Amici Piazza del Duca di Villa Castelli, zubereitet.
Währenddessen würzt Giuseppe Schiena die Friselle – das typische doppelt gebackene harte haltbare Brot Apuliens, das ganz kurz nur in Wasser getaucht wird, um es weicher zu machen – mit seinem kostbaren nativen Olivenöl extra. Denn wir befinden uns hier auch unter einigen jahrhundertealten herrlichen Olivenbäumen, von denen dieses kostbare goldgelbe Öl stammt.
„So duftet Apulien“, schwärmt Giuseppe Schiena.
Der Pizzica-Tanz steigert sich immer mehr zu einem Wirbelwind. Der Schlagzeuger und die Tänzerin halten bei Sonnenuntergang für einen Toast an.

Sullo sperone roccioso a monte del paese Caprona, spicca la torre degli Upezzinghi, copia ottocentesca della torre dell'antico castello esistente alla metà dell'XI secolo, citato da Dante (Inferno, XXI, 94-96) e smantellato da Firenze nel 1433. La torre chiamata comunemente Torretta si trova sulla sommità di uno sperone roccioso, in una posizione altamente suggestiva che domina le pendici del monte Pisano.
Oggi è in completo stato di abbandono e necessiterebbe di un'opera di messa in sicurezza.
