Marrakech is known as a bustling, wild city in the heart of Morocco, full of snake charmers and everything you could want to buy. Tucked away amongst everything are all kinds of different foods and tasty Moroccan street snacks to try. We set out to explore the best Moroccan street food in Marrakech, Morocco, on a massive Marrakesh food tour, starting our day with a unique msemen wrap near the main square.

Msemen is a very popular bread in Morocco, and Foundouk Gargaa does their msemen very differently, using the msemen as a wrap instead. We continued our Marrakesh food tour tasting the spicy khoudenjal tea, and discovering the most amazing Berber meat sandwich, hidden away from all the typical, way-too-touristy meat sandwich places. This hidden gem is a top food to eat in Marrakech.

Exploring the medina for the best Moroccan street food in Marrakech, we stumbled upon the spice market, full of incredible smells, flavours and tastes to sample, this is the place to come for tea and spices!

Even though we’ve tasted many delicious and flavourful tagines, there was one we still hadn’t tried, a rabbit tagine. Rabbit tagine is more popular in Marrakesh than other parts of the country. Very unique and tasty, this was definitely some of the best Moroccan street food in Marrakech, Morocco.

We hope you enjoy this epic Marrakesh food tour, tasting rabbit tagine, msemen wraps, Berber sandwiches and more! We tried some of the best Moroccan street food in Marrakech, Morocco today, but stay tuned, there’ll be more Moroccan food adventures next week.

A popular Moroccan food is camel, but here in Fes we had it in a very unique way, as a dumpling. We went to Restaurant Bouayad, the only Chinese restaurant in the medina of Fes, to try their unique camel dumplings. These camel dumplings were unlike anything we’ve ever tasted, very favourful and tasty, a unique twist on a popular Moroccan food.

We continued our food tour in Fez, Morocco, exploring the streets of the city, looking for unique street foods to taste.

A Moroccan food tour would be incomplete without a pastilla, but this one with a twist! This unique street food is usually made with pigeon, but the version at Fondouk Bazaar here in Fes is made as a duck confit pastilla. This duck confit pastilla was super flavourful and very unique!

Whole flight from Malta (MLA) to Munich (MUC) in November 2022

Air Malta flight KM308 from Malta to Munich on 1 November 2022, operated by 9H-AHS, an A320.

01:40 Entering runway to backtrack
02:32 Turning around by the Safi Aviation Park taxiway
03:10 Applying thrust
03:54 Rotate!
04:25 See Valetta in the distance, between the two thin bays that cut into the coastline
04:37 the town in the foreground is Qormi
04:54 Flying past Birkirkara
05:09 Flying over Attard. The green park is San Anton Gardens, belonging to San Anton Palace, the presidential residence of Malta
05:22 Flying past Mosta
05:34 Can you spot the Mosta Rotunda?
05:50 The seaside tourist town is Bugibba
06:20 The two little islands are St Paul's Islands, where, according to legend, the Apostle St Paul was once shipwrecked
08:25 Sicily on the horizon
08:56 We make landfall over Sicily near Sciacca
09:14 As we turn, you can see Palermo on the coast, and mountains around it. The sharp, long ridge is Monte Leardo
09:19 We leave Sicily behind
09:29 The little island is Ustica
10:47 That corner of land sticking out is Mount Circeo
10:49 Blink and you'll miss it! ITA Airways flight 1723, an A320, shoots past on its way from Milan to Catania. We're on Flight Level 360, they're on Flight Level 370.
10:54 That green rectangle is the Piscina della Verdesca - the only bit of original mangrove forest left in Italy. This sort of marshy woodland used to cover much of the area...
10:58 The town is Latina
11:32 We flew right across Rome, so the built up areas you see are the outskirts of the city
12:56 Blink and you'll miss this one, too! The plane crossing our path is Pegasus flight 954, an A320 en route from Geneva to Istanbul SAW. At this point, we're somewhere between Ferrara and Padua in North Eastern Italy.
13:48 Descending. Invisible below the clouds, there are the Alps. We are well south of Bozen when we start descending towards Munich.
17:10 Munich airport's other runway comes into view
18:14 Touchdown! in Munich

If you have a Flightradar24 subscription, you can follow this flight here:

As with all flights I book these days, I bought sustainable aviation fuel for 100% of an economy seat's share of the CO2 generated by this flight. For this particular flight, I used Fly On SAF ( but there are other alternatives, such as Compensaid (
