Today, we are visiting Tell es-Safi, an excavation site of what is believed to be the ancient city of Gath, the hometown of Goliath, and four other giants. Archaeologists found here monumental structures and large building stones that provide a better understanding of the city where giants once lived. They also found a colossal city gate which could be the gate where David pretended to be a mad man when he was running away from Saul. So join us on this expedition as we drive to the excavation site and explore the findings.

Cubit calculation: The biblical Cubit is measured from the tip of the fingers to the elbow. So it can average anywhere from 16 to 22 inches. For example, Rhoda's cubit is a little short of 17 inches, which means if we take Rhoda's cubit length, then Goliath would have been about 8'7. However, my cubit is 20 inches, and that would make Goliath over 10 feet tall. So in reality, Goliath could have been anywhere from 8.5 to 11 feet in height. In the video, we went with a conservative measurement. But in reality, whether he was 9 or 11 feet, he'd still appear as the giant tall warrior to the Israelites.

In any country that you travel to, there are always some Do’s and Don’ts, well here is some Don’ts that I want to share.

This was one country on my bucket list, and I have always wanted to see Petra and the Valley of the Moon, (Wadi Rum).

Jordan opened their borders and I decided it was time to visit another Middle Eastern country with my girls, apart from UAE, where I live. This time it was different and I felt different. Jordan is a very peaceful place with friendly people however when I traveled here for the first time, I can tell you that I wasn't that open-minded, so I had my prejudice. But I was wrong! This country I snow so close to my heart and will always be.

That's why I want to make more of these vlogs to show you how the world really is while still focusing on capturing the beauty these places offer.

Founded more than two thousand years ago, the city offers some of the most breathtaking monuments found anywhere on Earth. Located in present-day Jordan, Petra was originally the capital of an ancient kingdom; the city was founded by the Nabataeans, a nomadic people credited with carving many of Petra’s iconic monuments from solid rock.

One of Petra’s most famous landmarks is the Treasury, which stands 39 meters tall and was carved into the sandstone mountain face two centuries before the birth of Christ. From the Treasury, you can also see Petra’s massive amphitheater, which was carved directly into the mountain. Spanning three levels, the theater could have held 8,000 spectators during its heyday.
