What a great place Darwin is! It has to be Australia's best kept secret as far as I was concerned. Living and working there was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone - whinging poms can go to Melbourne, so you have something to moan about lol.
THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD // A Literal Road Trip to Paradise
No trip to Melbourne is complete without a drive down one of the most scenic routes in the world. So we called up the local camper van company, packed out bags and hit the road, and this road did not disappoint!! For real guys, holy effin sh**. God damn nature, you gave some extra lovin on this one, and I ain't even mad!!
For any that are unaware, The Great Ocean Road is a stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia. The most famous stop is the 12 apostles, which was the gem of this trip.
We followed this itinerary, but of course like any road trip you hit some bumps and unexpected curve balls (and let me tell you, there was a ton!!)

Well New Zealand, that's it, the last episode from Arrowtown... OK, sure, we're still in New Zealand and will film a lot more videos, but as far as this enormous serious in the campervan go - that's it! We arrived in Queenstown a few days back, drove from Queenstown to Lake Hayes for our incredible accommodation in an amazing modern cottage right on Lake Hayes.
Arrowtown sits in the Arrow Basin, which was carved by the great glaciers of ages past. Gold was first found in 1862, leading to a huge influx of gold hunters from around the world and an eventual boom in the area. Year round there's only about 2,000 people that live in Arrowtown, but given how unique the town is, and how true to the gold mining days of old, it's a popular spot for tourism. There's a nostalgic kind of feeling walking the streets, something you don't get in places like Queenstown that are far more commercial.
