Метро тянется в Новую Москву. Сокольническая линия - первая линия из тех, кто начала продлевать свою линию на новую территорию Москвы. Продление было сделано в 2016 году, а 20 июня 2019 года дотянулась до посёлки Коммунарка. Линия прошла вдоль новой магистрали Солнцево-Бутово-Варшавское шоссе. Особенность трассы является тоннель, совмещающий авто и метротоннель в единое целое и проходит под Калужским шоссе. Поездка по новым станциям метро, история происхождения названий станций, что рядом со станциями и рассказ об их архитектуре.
