A video where I talk about the Hurstbridge line for 40 minutes!
Melbourne's Hurstbridge line is a 38km suburban railway line, running from the city out to the scenic Diamond Valley in the north-east suburbs. The line is 1600mm Broad Gauge and electrified at 1500v DC. In the video I talk through the line's many interesting features from the city out to the terminus. All photographs and video are taken by Martin Bennet (that's me), I also do the writing, narration, and diagrams. The only content in this video not made by me are a couple of scans from the 1927 Victorian Railways 'Curves and Grades' book, one from the 1945 VR passenger network map, and the google maps screenshots.

????????PORK CURRY: De-bone the pork and then cut the pieces into small slices. Place curry powder in a big pan to burn. Add cooking oil and mix with curry powder. Place the pork slices into the pan. Add turmeric powder, roasted curry powder, chili powder, black pepper, salt, cardamom, garlic paste, Garcinia cambogia, a liquid mixed with oil, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, fried lemongrass and curry leaves.Stir and cook for around 20 minutes.
????????JACKFRUIT CURRY: Chop the jackfruit flesh into small pieces. Place pieces into a pan, then add coconut milk, chopped onions, green chilies, curry leaves and Pandan leaves. Add salt, turmeric powder and curry powder. Add some pieces of cinnamon and mustard paste.Mix and cook for around 20 minutes. Add more coconut milk. Place chopped dried red chilies and chopped garlic into hot oil, mix, add turmeric powder and dump this mixture into the pan of jackfruits.

In today's' episode we leave Brasov and head to a farm village stay close to a main town called Cluj-Napoca. The drive was around 4-5 hours but so worth it. We visited the most beautiful castle in Romania the day before:
This farm stay is available on Airbnb and also bookings.com (sharing because it was the BEST STAY EVER!)
This farm stay cost us $110 AUD p/n with the most delicious breakfast included. Dinner was an extra cost of $45 AUD.
For us, we really value quality time together away from the busy cities so it really was an experience we enjoyed and would highly recommend.
