One day in Roi Et (ร้อยเอ็ด), Thailand
Roi Et (ร้อยเอ็ด) is a town in north-eastern Thailand lies on a flat plain about 150 metres (490 ft) above sea level.Roi Et is capital of Roi Et province.Roi Et As of 2017 it had a population of 35,671. Roi Et is 514 km from Bangkok, and is served by Roi Et Airport.
Roi Et town has been a major settlement for more than 300 years. In ancient times It was once called 'Saket Nakhon' and referred to as a large city with 11 gates and 11 vassal cities, but in modern-day terms it would be classed as a middle sized market town.
Roi Et has many tourist attractions to visit such as Bueng Phalan Chai, Roi Et Tower and many temples.
Get around by Walk, Take a Samlor (tricycle) for normally 20-50 baht or rent a motorbike for 300 baht per day.

Roi Et is one of the provinces in the northeast of Thailand. The name Roi Et in Thai language means 101 the number should be 11 recalling the 11 gates the city had at a time of its history. The population of the province is around 1.3 million.
Wat Pha NamThip Thep prasit Wanaram- This temple is well known as the location of Maha Chedi Chai Mongkol, one of Thailand’s largest and most beautiful pagodas. It is the sacred place and the pride of Roi Et people and northeastern people. Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkol is one of Thailand’s largest pagodas. Buddha’s relics have been collected here and it is respectful among Buddhists. It has 6 levels and 60 kilograms of gold has been used for making the top of the pagoda.

A Day in Roi Et, Thailand | Coconut Cafe Roi Et | The Pool Hotel | Roi Et Tower
Inspired by Joel Bruner, I decided to try and make a YouTube video of my own. Today I was in Roi Et province, in Thailand. In this video I will show you some parts of the day we spent in Roi Et.
We started our morning with a breakfast beside the pool in The Pool Hotel. It was a very quiet morning and the atmosphere at the hotel restaurant was great.
We continued to visit the new Roi Et Tower, which is a beautiful artwork of a building right in the middle of Roi Et city. The park around the tower was absolutely amazing with all the trees and flowers.
Finally, we went to the Coconut Cafe, which is a beautiful restaurant around 29 kilometers from the city center. The food at the restaurant was top notch. We will definitely be visiting that one again!

Celebrating the reincarnation of Buddha, Bun Pha Wet Fair is a unique and colourful festival in Rio Et, in north east Thailand. The Roi ET Tower commands respect from the outside and provides inspiration inside.
There are several levels of action for with multiple viewing platforms, big windows and a 360 degree structure that facilties panaoraic aspects.
I also strolled across the skywalk a couple times and while it is compact, it is requiring one to take a small leap faith before crossing.
I suggest that you leave your vertigo at the door and just go for it.
There is a temple, cafe and gift shop and despite finding myself in a bit of tourist crunch towards the end of my time at the tower, all in all, it was very much a user-friendly experience.
The tower can be found at Bueng Phlan Chai Lake, otherwise known as Roi Et City Park.
It is the proverbial 'must-do' if one is fortunate enough to be visiting the beautiful city of Roi Et in Central Isaan, Thailand.
