Monte Cavo:
Monte Cavo, or less occasionally, Monte Albano, is the second-highest mountain of the complex of the Alban Hills, near Rome, Italy. An old volcano extinguished around 10,000 years ago, lies about 20 km (12 mi) from the sea, in the territory of the comune of Rocca di Papa. It is the dominant peak of the Alban Hills. The current name comes from Cabum, an Italic settlement existing on this mountain.

It is one of the Castelli Romani about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Rome on the Alban Hills. It is close to the other communes of Velletri, Rocca Priora, Monte Compatri, Grottaferrata, Albano and Marino. It is the center of the Regional Park known as the Parco Regionale dei Castelli Romani.

The Castelli Romani ( Castles of Rome) is a group of communes in the province of Rome, Italy. They are located at short distance south-east to Rome, at the feet of the Alban Hills.
The area of the Castelli occupies an ancient, fertile volcanic area which has allowed since ancient times a flourishing agriculture. The former crater is occupied by two lakes, the Lake of Nemi and that of Albano.
Starting from the Romans, it was an area frequented by the noblemen of Rome for its fresher climate during summer: the tradition was followed by the Popes which still have their summer residence in Castel Gandolfo, on the Lake Albano. Families which ruled in the castle include Orsini, Colonna, Chigi, Aldobrandini and Ruspoli.

Lungomare bellissimo e attrezzato; museo sorprendente e molto vario tutto autoprodotto, soprattutto attraverso il recupero creativo di oggetti trovati qua e là, e gestito dal signore che ci ha fatto da guida per circa un'ora e mezza, raccontando dettagli sulla manifattura, il reperimento degli oggetti, la storia di alcuni personaggi, gli aneddoti e la sua filosofia di vita.

Falconara developed[when?]
around a castle. In the second half of the 16th century it was bought by the noble family of Bourbon del Monte. In the 19th century they were still present as owners.[citation needed] The Castle of Falconara, together with those of Rocca Priora and of Castelferretti, represented a defence system around Ancona, which controlled the territory and demanded bridge toll for crossing over the river Esino and had many other functions.[citation needed]

Falconara Marittima's main attraction is a long sandy beach where during the summer people practice sports such as beach volleyball, beach tennis and beach soccer.[4]
Falconara has a 6-hectare (15-acre) zoo.[5]
Every year on 15 August, the Ferragosto holiday a fireworks display takes place.[citation needed]
The Frecce Tricolori show took place in the sky of Falconara Marittima in the summer of 2007[6] and 2009[7]
The Cormorano park on the north side of town has hosted numerous cultural events, including concerts of Francesco De Gregori, Goran Bregovic[8] and Piero Pelù.
Among its religious sites is the church of Santa Maria della Misericordia with 15th-century frescoes.

Winters can be quite cold due to the bora, an icy wind that blows along the coast, however snow is rare. The last recorded heavy snowfall occurred in February 2012,[9] then again in February 2018 [10]
From April to June the climate is warm and pleasant, with moderate humidity. July and August can be very hot, with high temperatures usually above 30 °C (86 °F).
In 2003 Falconara experienced twin tornados along the coast.[11]

Ancona Airport is located in Falconara Marittima. Falconara beach is about 3 kilometres (2 mi) from the airport. The Falconara-Orte main line is one of the few transversal lines on the Italian Railway Network; the Adriatic line also passes through Falconara railway station. Falconara Airport was used by the United States Army Air Forces between 1 April and 1 September 1945 as a military airfield.

The local volleyball team Pallavolo Falconara won the CEV Cup in 1986 and reached play-off semifinal of Italian Volleyball League two times in the eighties.[citation needed] Notable former volleyball players of the club include Ferdinando De Giorgi, Daniel Castellani, Tom Sorensen, Raimonds Vilde, Jan Kvalheim, Andrea Anastasi, Leondino Giombini, Pasquale Gravina, Valerio Vermiglio and Samuele Papi.

The barn above it is currently home to the main dining room, while the refined hall adjoining has been dedicated to “Donna Caterina”: a fitting homage to the parents of the current owner, who were the ones who started the renovation works.
The exteriors have also been brought back to their old splendour and feature the Garden of the Countess, the Lemon Conservatory, and a wonderful park in full bloom measuring 5,000 m2 that is perfect for outdoor receptions.
Other great features of this estate for sale are its surroundings' exceptional landscapes and the chance to taste excellent products or do outdoor sports such as hiking, horseriding, cycling or go on exciting hunts, which make this area perfect for one-day food and wine tasting trips or for relaxing family holidays for those who love nature.
