El término Región de Zimmerberg suele referirse a la montaña, la zona y la meseta entre Kilchberg-Richterswil-Samstagern en el lago de Zúrich y parcialmente hasta el valle de Shil. Esta región incluye los municipios de Hirzel, Horgen, Hütten, Kilchberg, Oberrieden, Richterswil, Rüschlikon, Schönenberg, Thalwil, Wädenswil y, en el valle de Sihl, los municipios de Adliswil, Langnau am Albis y Sihlbrugg.

Regensberg, Switzerland - A real life fairytale village very near Zurich
Regensberg is one of the hidden gems of Canton Zurich. It is situated to the north-west of Zurich and lies in a somewhat elevated location on the eastern foothills of the Lägern ridge, which links the north of Zurich with Baden.
Regensberg Castle has characterized the region since the 13th century. The castle and the small town built around it – both of which have been extremely well preserved – were once the ancestral seat of the House of Regensberg.
Nowadays, the castle belongs to the Regensberg Castle Foundation. The round tower is still open to the public and offers a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding region.

1-Zurich
It is probably going to be the first city you will visit in Switzerland and this place will leave you with one hell of a memorable first impression.
Afterward, you might want to visit the Fraumünster Church or the Kunsthaus Zurich with an incredible number of exhibits.
With all its sights, beautiful architecture, and closeness to nature, Zurich is one of the best places to visit in Switzerland.
2- Lucerne

What we love in Geneva is this urban nature. A walk along the lake, a ride on a boat, and then a café on a terrace in the Old Town.

Geneva lies idyllically between Alpine peaks and vineyards by the largest lake in Western Europe.
4- St. Gallen
St. Gallen lies in the north-eastern region of Switzerland and south of Lake Constance.
It is considered to be one of the most picturesque places in Switzerland.
It is surprising to see how beautiful this city is so if you are looking for a beautiful authentic Swiss town to visit, St. Gallen is highly recommended.
5-Basel
If you do city trips in Switzerland, Basel has to be on your list.
The third-largest city in Switzerland hosts more than 30 different museums and some of them actually belong to the most famous ones in the world.
It has stone houses with tiled roofs, beautiful cafes, well-kept boutiques, and vantage points to see stunning views of the River Rhine.
6- Lauterbrunnen
It is one of the most beautiful mountain villages in Switzerland. It is located in the middle of the U-shaped Lauterbrunnen Valley near Interlaken with two stunning cliffs on both sides of town, and the iconic 300m-high.
Staubbach Falls has become the poster child of Lauterbrunnen town.
Last but not least, don't forget to grab a cable car from Stechelberg village to Schilthorn mountain, for views over the glorious Bernese Alps!
7-Interlaken
Located between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun is Interlaken, one of Switzerland's most beautiful places for sure!
This resort town is absolutely stunning with acres upon acres of open space, flower gardens, and the peaks of Eiger, Jungfrau, and Monch towering over the town.
No matter what time of year it is, Interlaken is definitely one of the ‘must-visit places in Switzerland!
8 - Bern
The capital of Switzerland, Bern, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and perhaps the most beautiful city in Switzerland.
This old town is medieval, which is apparent in its architecture.
If you are looking for a nice Swiss city that has a perfect blend between architectural beauty and fun activities to do in the city, Bern is the best place for you.
9-St. Moritz
St. Moritz is one of the top mountain destinations in the world. In fact, two winter Olympics have been hosted there.
There are two parts to this town: St. Moritz Bad and St. Moritz Dorf.
The former sits on the valley floor and has more affordable accommodations.
During the summer visitors can enjoy glacier skiing, watersports, and hiking.
This is one of the super nice places in Switzerland to visit!
10-Zermatt
Zermatt is a small town that is famous for skiing and mountaineering due to its proximity to the Matterhorn, one of Switzerland’s highest mountains.
Cable cars whisk skiers up surrounding mountains in the winter and hikers in the summer.
Fortunately, for visitors, it takes 30 minutes or less to walk between sites.
The town is accessible via scenic train routes that connect it with the outside world.

Some people often say that NOVEMBER is the “WORST TIME” to travel. But is that really true??? What does November have to offer and what are its down sides? These aspects will be covered in this video. November is a very interesting month, just because everybody does not think so! November is very colorful during the beginning. There will be many colors of Autumn, all the leaves are golden, orange, yellow and red! November is also quite foggy, meaning the weather is not always best and at times it will rain. But during November, you may also have snow fall and enjoy early Christmas vibes. Very nice is the combination of the Autumn colors with snow. November is not good for hiking but still you should visit the Swiss Alps. Go up to some peaks and enjoy the sea of clouds. Up on the peaks, the view is brilliant, while down in the valley, there will be cloudy weather. November in Switzerland is also a month of culture. You may visit the Lantern Festival in Early November called Räbäliechtli, visit the Herbstmesse in Basel and some markets like Martinimarkt in Schaffhausen or Zibälämärit in Bern. In late November, some Christmas markets will already open up! Great chance to experience early Christmas vibes here in Switzerland. Benefit also from season break, it's low season here in Switzerland. Many hotels will offer cheaper prices and you may travel around Switzerland on a budget. HOWEVER: This comes at a cost: Many hotels and restaurants will be closed! Book early to be sure to have a place to dine and stay. Some attractions will be closed too. On the other hand: You may benefit from some ski resorts already starting their Winter season! Surely, November is a very interesting Month! MUCH BETTER than many people think!

On the 2nd saturday evening in november, approximately a thousand of children and grownups proceed through the streets of Richterswil, situated on the lake of Zurich, with individual lanterns or huge structures made of lighted beets. The façades of the houses are also decorated with lights.
This custom can be traced back the early 1920s in the Canton of Zurich and in other regions of German speaking Switzerland.
It is just an amazing event to Watch and to not miss it !

Le 2ème samedi du mois de novembre, on peut assister dans la ville de Richterswil (située près du Lac de Zurich) à la célébration de cortèges de raves évidées et taillées, éclairées de l'intérieur par des bougies. Près d'un millier d'enfants et d'adultes se déplacent dans les rues obscures avec des lanternes ou avec des constructions faîtes de raves illuminées.
Cette pratique fait partie des traditions automnales depuis 1920 du canton de Zurich et d'autres régions de Suisse alémanique.
C'est un évènement magnifique à ne pas manquer !
