Introducing fabulous Lausanne, the Olympic Capital!
Join us as we guide you through the city while you enjoy some pretty breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the Swiss and French Alps. Along the way we visit the Lausanne Cathedral, Place de la Riponne, Old Town, Flon and Ouchy.
Lausanne is 30 minutes from Geneva and about 3 hours away from Paris and Milan via high speed train. It's very central to the French-speaking part of western Switzerland and a great launchpad to explore the neighbouring Swiss Riviera.
Along the way we also visit an amusement park where the girls brave a soaring ride and give you a bird's eye view of the city below.

Whassup guys! Back with a new video this week, this time with a Swiss-101 survival guide on how to use the public transport in Switzerland, and what you should take note of when buying tickets and boarding trains, buses (or trams!)
This is created with first-time visitors to Switzerland or those who have just newly moved abroad in mind. While Swiss transportation is renowned for being one of the best in the world, it can still be complicated at the very beginning when you have just arrived, so I hope this visual vlog would help you to be familiarised before your trip so that you will have the safest smoothest journey!

Driving Lausanne Switzerland ???????? | 4K City Drive
Today's drive takes place in Lausanne, capital of the Canton of Vaud.
Lausanne, the second-largest city on Lake Léman, it combines a dynamic commercial town with the locality of a holiday resort. The capital of the canton of Vaud is also a lively university and convention town. Sports and culture are given a high profile in the Olympic capital.
The setting of Lausanne is extremely picturesque: it is hardly surprising that the International Olympic Committee has been based here since 1914. The town is built on three hills, surrounded by vineyard-covered slopes, with Lake Léman at its feet. Rising impressively from the opposing French lakeshore are the Savoy Alps. The attractive old town is largely car-free. Small alleyways with cafes and boutiques shape the streetscape in the medieval city centre.
The old town is dominated by the cathedral, which is regarded as Switzerland’s most impressive piece of early Gothic architecture. Lausanne was a diocesan town for over a thousand years. can be found surrounding the cathedral as well as in the pretty waterfront area of Ouchy. Switzerland’s only «metro» connects the various parts of the town and eases travel in this incline-based town.
Also worthy of a visit are the parks, containing many Mediterranean plant species, and grand palace hotels like the Beau-Rivage Palace in Ouchy and the Hotel de l'Angleterre, were Lord Byron once stayed. Gourmets will be able to savour many regional specialities in Lausanne such as cabbage-filled sausage with leek gratin called Papet Vaudois. Mind you, master chef Fredy Girardet who was voted «Cuisinier du siècle» or chef of the century by his colleagues has in the meantime retired and handed over his sceptre in the Hôtel de Ville to his successor.
Even lovers of culture won’t feel short changed in Lausanne: the collection of marginal art (“Art Brut”) in Beaulieu Castle, the Fondation de l'Hermitage, the «Musée de l'Elysée» photo museum, and many others merit a visit. Not forgetting Aquatis, the largest freshwater aquarium in Europe, a veritable living museum. The offering of theatre productions and musical performances too is above average. Finally, Lausanne is home to the world-famous Béjart Ballet.
The «Olympic capital» is home to the Olympic Committee and also the Olympic Museum, the world’s largest information centre about the Olympic games. But sport in general is given a high profile here, examples of which are the «Lausanne Marathon» and «Athletissima», the international meeting for track and field athletics.

Epesses to Rivaz, a scenic drive into Lavaux vineyards I Switzerland I 2022
In this video, I take you with me in a new scenic road, through two charming swiss small villages, from Epesses to Rivaz, bothes are located in the Lavaux area, in the canton of Vaud.
The begining of my trip is in Epesses and I will end it in Rivaz, two wine villages located on the edge of a lake, Le Léman or also called, Lac de Genève.
All the vineyards that you will see during this panoramic route have been part of the Unesco heritage since the year 2007 and the origin of its grape varieties is of Roman origin, since this region was important for the communications between Italy , France (Gallia) and western of german empire.
There are no music in this scenic drive, it contains only ambient sounds.
It's a nice video to discover this charming area of Switzerland, while resting or having fun.

Losanna - Switzerland Experience
Losanna è una città della Svizzera, capitale del Canton Vaud e dell'omonimo distretto.
Situata sulla sponda settentrionale del lago Lemano (Lac Léman in francese), chiamato anche lago di Ginevra,conta 140 202 abitanti (424 000 nell'hinterland), è la quarta città più grande della Svizzera, preceduta in ordine decrescente da Zurigo, Ginevra e Basilea, ed è collegata alla cittadina francese di Évian tramite battello. È un importante centro di attività commerciali, bancarie e universitarie ed è sede della scuola di danza Rudra-Béjart, fondata dal coreografo Maurice Béjart. Nel 1994 fu dichiarata capitale olimpica ed è quindi sede del Comitato Olimpico Internazionale.
I Romani costruirono un accampamento militare, chiamato Lousanna, sul sito di un insediamento celtico, nei pressi del lago dove oggi si trovano Vidy e Ouchy; sulla collina che lo sovrastava c'era un forte chiamato 'Lausodunon' o 'Lousodunon'.
Dopo la caduta dell'Impero romano d'Occidente, l'insicurezza costrinse gli abitanti a trasferire Losanna dove si trova oggi, in una località più semplice da difendere, grazie alla presenza delle sue colline. La città fu in seguito governata dai Duchi di Savoia e dal Vescovo di Losanna. Poi fu soggetta a Berna dal 1536 al 1798 e molti dei suoi tesori culturali vennero rimossi per sempre, nonostante numerose richieste di Losanna per riaverle. Durante le guerre napoleoniche, il suo status cambiò. Nel 1803 divenne capitale di un nuovo cantone, il canton Vaud, con il quale entrò nella Confederazione Elvetica.
Nel 1906 l'apertura del Traforo del Sempione, che collega la Svizzera all'Italia, consentì a Losanna di crescere e diventare un hub ferroviario internazionale. Il 24 luglio 1923 venne qui firmato il trattato di Losanna
Dal 30 aprile al 25 ottobre 1964, Losanna ospitò l'esposizione nazionale svizzera.
Tra gli anni cinquanta e gli anni settanta, vi immigrarono numerosi italiani, spagnoli e portoghesi, stabilendosi principalmente nella zona industriale di Renens.
La città è tradizionalmente tranquilla, ma, verso la fine degli anni sessanta e nei primi anni settanta, una serie di manifestazioni a carattere prevalentemente giovanile che hanno portato a scontri con la polizia fecero nascere il motto Lausanne bouge (Losanna diventa animata).
A Losanna ha sede la Cinématèque Suisse dove sono conservati 80 000 titoli e altro importante materiale cinematografico, che ne fanno la sesta nel mondo per quantità e varietà di beni custoditi.
