A drive around Ipswich, Queensland.
Ipswich is an urban region in South East Queensland, Australia. Situated on the Bremer River, it is approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) west of the Brisbane central business district. A local government area, the City of Ipswich has a population of 210,000 (projected to grow to 435,000 residents by 2031). The city is renowned for its architectural, natural and cultural heritage. Ipswich preserves and operates from many of its historical buildings, with more than 6000 heritage-listed sites and over 500 parks. Ipswich began in 1827 as a mining settlement
Ipswich is centrally located in the booming South East Queensland region of Australia.
To the east is the capital city Brisbane, and to the west are the rural and agricultural areas of the Brisbane, Lockyer and Fassifern Valleys. The city is ideally positioned on the national road network - 40 minutes drive from Brisbane, an hours drive from the Gold Coast and 60 minutes drive from domestic and international air and sea ports.
Ipswich comprises an area of 1090 square km and has a population of 210,000 people. Ipswich enjoys a subtropical climate and is a safe, friendly and multicultural city. Residents come from 163 different countries, speaking 152 languages.

Join us this week as we explore around Cairns and find the best campsite we've been to for a long time!
After spending over a week in Cairns and exploring some of the best waterfalls in the area, it's time to make our way up to the Atherton Tablelands.
We point the Ranger and the Zone up the hill and make our way towards Mareeba, stopping off for a wander around Kuranda on the way.
Our first campsite in the Tablelands is a cracker. Ringers Rest is a low-cost, privately owned campground not far from Mareeba and makes the perfect base for exploring the region.
It feels so good to be camping in the bush again!

The Larapinta Trail is an extended walking track in the Northern Territory, Australia. Its total length covers 223 kilometres (139 mi) from east to west, with the eastern end at Alice Springs and the western end at Mount Sonder, one of the territory's highest mountains. It follows the West MacDonnell Ranges, sometimes along the ridge line, other times on the plain below, in the West MacDonnell National Park.
