Sicily has some of the most DELICIOUS desserts in Italy! In this episode, we find a few Sicilian desserts and sweet treats - we cover the classic ricotta and pistachio cannoli, the Sicilian breakfast of a granita and brioche, and a couple other things a friendly baker helped us choose! This is our DIY Sicily Dessert Tour, trying some of the best Sicilian desserts in Cefalu, Italy! The few sweets we covered in this Cefalu Dessert episode does not even begin to scratch the surface of the truly impressive amount of Sicilian sweets that are from the island. There are tons more left to try and cover, so we hope to taste them all during our journey through Sicily!

Bei 30 Grad darf die Abkühlung nicht fehlen und wir sind zum Strand Mondello gefahren. Wie wir den Strand fanden seht ihr im Vlog ;)

We travelled around different towns of Sicily like Taormina, Scicli, Syracuse and more to find the best Sicilian food.
I am also a big fan of cooking so there are some home cooked recipes included as well!

Der aufwendig restaurierte Gutshof ist für max. 8 Personen und hat eine Veranda, eine herrliche Terrasse, einen 7 x 14 m großen Pool und eine schöne, mediterrane Gartenanlage. Das Landgut liegt 10 km vom nächsten Sandstrand, 7 km der Hafenstadt Licata und 40 km von den Tempelanlagen in Agrigento entfernt. Es hat eine ruhige Panoramalage und ist von den Olivenhainen und Feldern der Masseria umgeben. Bei der Restaurieung sind die ursprünglichen Strukturen und der Charm dieser alten Masseria weitgehend erhalten geblieben, so die traditionellen Decken mit Holzbalken. Der 180 qm große Gutshof hat eine großzügige Raumaufteilung und eine komfortable Einrichtung in rustikaler Eleganz. Den Feriengästen steht eine riesige Terasse mit Grill und ein stimmungsvoller, 2.000 qm großer Garten zur Verfügung.
Licata ist der einzige größere Küstenort in dieser Gegend. Unter den Römern war Licata eine wichtige Handelsstadt, die 1553 von den Türken zerstört und später wieder aufgebaut wurde. Im Zentrum gibt es einige Stadtpaläste und schöne barocke Gebäude, wie das Karmeliter- und das Franziskanerkloster. Auf einer Anhöhe in Stadtnähe befindet sich ein Castello aus dem 17. Jahrhundert.
Das 40 km enfernte Agrigento gehört mit zu dem Interessantesten was es in Sizilien gibt. 581 v.Chr. gründeten Griechen aus Rhodos auf einer Anhöhe die erste Siedlung, die sich schnell zu einer blühenden Metropole mit 800.000 Bewohnern entwickelte und von einer 12 km langen Stadtmauer umgeben war. Im berühmten Tal der Tempel kann man die erstaunlich gut erhaltenen, imposanten Tempel bewundern. Besonders beeindruckend ist der sogenannte Konkordia-Tempel, der von 34 Säulen umgeben ist und den Goethe als das beste heilige Bauwerk der Welt bezeichnete. Er ist in der Perfektion der Baustrukturen sozusagen das Sympol des Tals. Nach dem Teseion in Athen ist er der am besten erhaltene griechische Tempel.
