Их сын Петр был первым супругом Великой княгини Ольги Александровны Романовой, младшей дочери императора Александра III. Дворец Ольденбургских окутан множеством тайн, легенд и загадок. Доподлинно не известно, а в разных источниках указывается по-разному: были ли живописные рамонские земли куплены принцессой Ольденбургской или подарены ей ее дядей Александром II, но в 1883 году на этих землях начинается строительство замка в староанглийском стиле, со стенами метровой толщины, которое закончилось в 1887 году. Принято считать, что строительство осуществлялось по проекту Христофора Нейслера, однако некоторые исследователи полагают, что архитекторами могли быть Фердинанд Миллер или Нколай Бенуа. Также есть мнение, что Евгения Максимилиановна, будучи дамой деятельной, вносила в проект и свои предложения и коррективы.
На входе в имение располагаются массивные ворота, с вмонтированными в их башню часми швейцарскойой фирмы Винтер. Весь дворец Ольденбургских отапливался единственной, находящейся в нем печью, тепло от которой распределялось по всем помещениям. Однако до настоящего времени многочисленные реставраторы так и не смогли разгадать принцип работы данной печи. Помимо печи, имелись 3 камина, расположенные в помещениях, имеющих выход на улицу. Во дворце также имелся водопровод с холодной и горячей водой. Позади дворца имеется грот и длинная каскадная лестница, ведущая вниз, к бывшему сахарному заводу и конфетной фабрике, принадлежавшим ранее принцессе Ольденбургской.

This is the world's largest crater that was carved out by flowing water. Ramon Crater, or in Hebrew, Makhtesh Ramon, is located at the Negev Desert, in the south of Israel.
In this video, we'll explore the Mitzpe Ramon city which overlooks the Ramon Crater, then we will drive down to the bottom of the crater and visit the Saw Mill and the Colorful Sands.
