Ķoņu dzirnavas offers accommodation in a 200-years old mill, located on the bank of Rūja River. Bed linen is made of home produced wool and there is a bathhouse and sauna on site.

Randu plavas (meadows), Latvia. A natural reserve by the Baltic Sea. 4K
Randu meadows are a seaside nature reserve in Latvia on the shore of the Gulf of Livonia. The reserve was created to protect the seaside meadows, rare plant species and communities. It is an important site for nesting waders and waterfowl. You can find more than 40 protected plant species there.
In 2006, a trail and a birdwatching tower were installed in Randu meadows. This is one of the best bird watching places in Latvia. At the same time 121 bird species have been seen there. As about us, it was the very fist time to see the the dance of dunlins. It was amazing. Before that day we (after watching Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities episode 8, The murmuring) honestly thought that dunlins and their dance was just a part of some beautiful and mesmerizing fiction :)
When we got there, the thunder was approaching, the wind was very strong and it was about to start raining. So there was no time to record for a very long time, but something was still possible.

Rundale Palace, Latvia, 4K
Rundale Palace is one of the two major baroque palaces built for the Dukes of Courland in what is now Latvia.The palace designed by Bartolomeo Rastrelli was built in 1768. It is situated at Pilsrundāle, 12 km west of Bauska. Seriously damaged during World War II the palace was carefully restorated. Nowadays, Rundale Palace is a history museum which has an impressive art works of Dutch masters.
