Travel in Mauritius by Metro from Port Louis to Quatre Bornes Market
Mauritius metro service is operational from 10 January, 2020, from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays. The metro line connects from Port Louis to Curepipe including 19 stations (Currently 9 stations operational, Last stop Quatre Bornes)The total journey time is around 41 minutes, until Quatre Bornes around 20 to 30 minutes. There is announcement of every stations which helps in easily travelling to your destination.
There are frequent trains available every 10 to 15 minutes.
If you are a constant traveler, you can have a MECard. It’s an electronic smart card, & has prepaid facility and serves as ticket. If you are a one time traveler, you can buy a single use ticket from the station machine. There are service operators to help you with the process.
The operating hours are from 6am to 7pm. You are asked to practice all necessary sanitary measures including using face masks and sensitizers.
It was a great experience traveling in Mauritius metro service

We also got a chance to visit Quatre Bornes Market.
Thursdays and Sundays it has textile market on Wednesdays and Saturdays it has vegetable and fruit market.
Since we went on a Saturday, we got a chance to see the vegetable market. There were colourful varieties of vegetables and fruits at reasonable price. It was a great experience!

A PERFECT DAY EXPLORING MAURITIUS: Trying Mauritian Food in Flic en Flac (Mauritius Road Trip Ep. 4)
In this video we’re spending a perfect day exploring Mauritius by car. We start the day at the beach in Flic en Flac at our favourite beach spot. We then review our favourite ice cream that’s from Mauritius (called Kulfi Malai) and super tasty! For lunch we taste delicious Mauritian/Creole food at a family restaurant called Creole Shack. Our plan was then to drive further inland to check out the local market in Quatre Bornes and the park on top of a dormant volcano called Trou aux Cerfs. In the evening we make it back just in time to Flic en Flac to enjoy a great sunset at our favourite beach spot.

Mexican food in Mauritius - The Craftsman Quatre Bornes
We visit the Craftsman Tex Mex and Mauritian fusion restaurant in Quatre Bornes. Alex and his team are fantastic, and the food they are cooking is great. Authentic Mexican tacos and quesadillas taste like you are in Mexico City. The salad with fish was perfect, but it's the items that are pushing the boundaries that are the real winners. An ice cream cone with fried chicken is truly inspired and the fresh fruit to juice cup is awesome.

Drive from Quatre Bornes to Rose Hill Mauritius
We drive from the Orchard center in Quatre Bornes Mauritius to the Plaza in Rose Hill. We when past the new Metro Express track that is still being built, down next to Saint Jean cathedral through, what we think is Rose Belle, and into Rose Hill. We ended the adventure at the Plaza because they were having a Diwali festive.

We visit the Orchard shopping center in the heart of Quarte Bornes. A three-story mall is home to a host of great clothing, jewellery, sarees and watch shops, as well as a Jumbo Express, some restaurants, and things that have to be seen. It also has free parking in this bustling city.
