Qingyuan is about an hour north of Guangzhou and famous for its natural scenery. We took a weekend trip from Hong Kong with a local tour and visited some of its top sights.

The Gulong Gorge is a famous mountain river combo must notable for its record-breaking glass structure combo: a glass suspension bridge and a glass platform. there is also a waterfall, rapid course, and zipline.

Qingyuan, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province and a city in the Guangzhou metropolitan area, has been home to ancestral peoples since the Neolithic era, creating a splendid prehistoric civilisation. According to the seventh census, the resident population of Qingyuan was 3969,473 at 00:00 on 1 November 2020.
Qingyuan is located in the north-central part of Guangdong Province, in the middle and lower reaches of the Beijiang River, on the southern side of the Nanling Mountains and on the combined zone of the Pearl River Delta. It is located between 23º26′56″ and 25º11′40″ north latitude and 111º55′17″ and 113º55′34″ east longitude, connecting Guangzhou City and Foshan City in the south, Hunan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the north, and bordering Shaoguan City in the east and northeast, and Zhaoqing City in the west and southwest. The border is more than 1,200 km long. Qingyuan has a total land area of 19,000 square kilometres, accounting for about 10.6% of the province's total land area, and is the largest prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province in terms of land area.
Qingyuan is an important part of the regional tectonic plate of Guangfu culture. Qingyuan has deep historical, geographical and ethnic ties with the Guangfu cultural circle. The Guangfu culture is the mainstream of Qingyuan's culture. Qingyuan is close to Guangzhou, located in the middle and lower reaches of the Beijiang River at the northern edge of the Pearl River Delta and in the north-central part of Guangdong Province. It is an important embodiment of the integration of Guangzhou and Qingyuan.
Qingyuan has been home to such figures as He Dan, a great official of the Western Han Dynasty, Liu Zhan, twice a minister in the Tang Dynasty, and Meng Bin Yu, a poet of the Southern Tang Dynasty. The cliff carvings in Qingyuan are of high quality and quantity, ranging from the early Tang Dynasty to the late Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a wide variety of contents and colourful calligraphy, including inscriptions by celebrities such as Han Yu, Zhou Dunyi and Su Shi.

The Hotel is located north of Guangzhou in Guangdong province, China and has an Arabian style. It is beautifully located at a large lake and features a nice Golf course. In the surrounding mountains you can enjoy hiking or relax in the hot springs.
