10 FUN THINGS TO DO IN ROME

Discover the top 10 fun things to do in Rome. Rome is one of the world's most beautiful and historic cities. Rome's history extends over 2500 years, and it has always been a centre of power, politics, culture, and progress. With attractions like the Colosseum and the Vatican, it's easy to see why Rome is constantly listed as one of Europe's best tourist destinations.

0:00 Introduction to Rome
Let's have a look at some of the top things to do in Rome!

0:57 Colosseum
The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, was built between 70 and 80 AD and could hold 80,000 spectators at its peak. This magnificent monument is one of the world's most well-known and recognisable landmarks, and a journey to Rome would be incomplete without a visit to the Colosseum.

1:41 St Peter’s Square
The Vatican, a small country within a country, is located in Rome. This autonomous state is one of the world's most important religious locations, and St. Peter's Square is a legendary location where many historic events have occurred.

2:31 Trastavere
This historic district of Rome is regarded as one of the few spots in the city, where you may witness actual Roman life and get a true sense of the city and it's inhabitants.

3:08 The Pantheon
The magnificent Pantheon is one of Rome's most recognised sights and one of the best preserved ancient Roman buildings in the world. The current structure, which was built in 118 AD by Emperor Hadrian on the site of an older temple commissioned by Agrippa, was actually built on the site of an earlier temple.

3:46 Trevi Fountain
There are few other fountains in the world that are as ornately sculpted and adorned as the Trevi fountain. The statues are exquisitely detailed, and the entire facade and fountain are a magnificent piece of art. Throwing pennies into the sea over your shoulder for good luck has become a tradition, albeit doing so in the midst of hundreds of other tourists may prove tough!

4:27 Spanish Steps
The 135 Spanish Steps, which connect the Piazza di Spagna and the Piazza Trinita dei Monti, were built in 1725 to bridge the space and slope between these two prominent squares.

The Piazza di Spagna, at the bottom of the steps, is large and has a variety of stores and cafes. Alternatively, the Trinita dei Monti church, which is a good attraction in itself, is located at the top of the stairs.

5:06 Roman Forum
The Roman Forum is an archaeological site that comprises of various ruins that were once the centre of Roman public and political life. It is possibly one of the most important Roman ruins in Italy. The Roman Forum, which is close to the Colosseum and the Altar of the Fatherland, is an important destination to visit.

Tickets for both the Forum and the Colosseum may be purchased, and it is recommended that you leave enough time to adequately explore the ruins and learn about the history of this location.

5:51 Sistine Chapel
The Sistine Chapel, which is part of the Vatican museum complex, is one of the most recognised religious chapels in the world. The Sistine Chapel, located in the Apostolic Palace in Vatican City, was completely reconstructed in the 1400s and is the site of the papal conclave - it is here that a new pope is chosen.

The Last Judgement painting by Michelangelo and the ceiling artwork are among the highlights of the Sistine Chapel's enormous and intricate embellishments.

Make sure you set aside plenty of time to marvel at this magnificent structure and the wonders it houses.

6:35. Vatican Museums
The museums, which are located within the Vatican state, have nearly 70,000 works of art. It is recommended to commit enough time to see both the Sistine Chapel and the museums, and to obtain a dual ticket to see both.

The museums are divided into numerous divisions, including the Museo Pio-Clementino, the Museum Chiaramonti, the Museo Gregoriano Etrusco, and the Museo Gregoriano Egiziano, each with its own collection of artworks and topics.

7:20 Piazza Navona
The Piazza Navona was erected in the 15th century on the site of Domitian's stadium and has remained a renowned tourist attraction ever since. The square is a fantastic site to visit while going through the city centre, as it is adjacent to the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain.

This vast square is frequently bustling with artists and street sellers, and the neighbouring structures elegantly frame the open space.

A vibrant city like Rome has daily new fun things to do. If you have a recommendation for our viewers, please drop it in the comments! Enjoy your trip to Rome!

10 Reasons to visit Venice - Italy Travel Guide No2

10 Reasons to visit Venice - Italy Travel Guide No2

Venice is one of the most famous European cities. I went there twice, once with each ex-boyfriend, which is not a tradition I plan to continue. I would love to go back anyway because around every corner there's another gorgeous palazzo or church. Travel Venice by vaporetto or on foot, there are no cars allowed. I stayed at Al Canal Regio hotel and really liked it.

1. Piazza San Marco: San Marco Basilica, Campanile di San Marco, The Doges Palace, National Archaeological Museum
2. Murano and Burano Island
3. Rialto Bridge
4. Gondola ride
5. Palazzos: Palazzo Contarini in Campo Manin with La Scala del Bovolo
6. Carnival in February
7. Art: The Biënnale & Peggy Guggenheim Museum
8. Churches & Basilicas: Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute
9. Jewish Quarter
10. Italian food: fresh pizza or pasta at Taverna al Remer, gelato ice cream, tiramisu or anything pistachio flavored, a delicious Bellini or Aperol Spritz

The Best of Parma Italy

I'm finally making some progress on editing videos from my travels this past summer and I'm happy to share my experience in Parma, Italy. I had so much fun visiting this city! After all, Parma is the city where Parma Ham and Parmesan Cheese come from and besides the food, I was pleasantly surprised at how much the city has to offer visitors. I was able to taste some amazing local cuisine and some local wine. I was also able to visit the Parma Cathedral and the Baptistery which are both soaked in history. Enjoy Parma and take as many photos as possible! :-)

If you're looking to get away from large cities with too many crowds during the summer months, Parma is the perfect alternative to add to your itinerary.

I was so happy with my experience that I am working on creating a food tour of the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy for the Spring of 2020. I hope you enjoy the video and I would appreciate your feedback.
Grazie mille!

Enit e l'Italia. Una gran bella storia / Enit & Italy. A great story

Established in 1919, ENIT - Italian National Tourist Board has been involved in promoting Italy and its beauty abroad for over a hundred years, striving to raise the quality and quantity of tourist flows.
From marketing to advertising, from industry publications to supporting the arts and national culture, ENIT has been ahead of its time and still organises its initiatives using the latest technologies and conveying its message through every communication channel.
As the result of an articulated approach to recover and enhance its own history, the Agency inaugurates with the exhibition: Enit and Italy. A great story, in this digital space thought as a place of knowledge and aggregation. The portal has a dual function: an exhibition environment where the institution’s cultural heritage can be set up and promoted, a navigation platform for research within the historical archive, whose cataloging work is still in progress.

Umbria's Marmore Falls: A Visit to Roman-made Waterfalls

I traveled to Umbria to visit Marmore Falls - artificial waterfalls created by the Romans more than 1500 years ago. I found some interesting people there! Afterwards, as I was heading for lunch, I shared some GOLDEN restaurant tips for your next visit in Italy.

When in Rome

During my visit to Rome, I stayed in the Pignetto district, which is a very different Rome than I would otherwise have known. Lots of young people, filled with artists. Beyond that, the footage is mostly taken from astride the bicycle I was lent.
