Where is there jaw dropping cliffs, dark forest and endless sandy beaches? I guess you'll have to watch this video to find out! Traveling in Siberia comes with many natural wonders, but few quite as grand as this. This is definitely the most under rated place in Russia.

I'm taking you on a journey to Kaliningrad. Kaliningrad is a Russian exclave located on the Baltic Sea, sandwiched between Poland and Lithuania. It serves as a strategic outpost for Russia in Europe. Formerly part of East Prussia and known as Königsberg, it was annexed by the Soviet Union after World War II. Today, it remains a unique geopolitical entity, distinct from the Russian mainland. It provides Russia with access to the Baltic Sea and a presence in the European Union, which can influence regional dynamics and politics in the Baltic region.
In this video, I visit a number of settlements in Kaliningrad region with traces of German past. It could happen that some members of YOUR family lived in East Prussia before or soon after the annexation of Konigsberg. Write about this in the comments, it's fascinating to read such stories!

Astrakhan is a city on two banks of Volga River in southern Russia. Founded in 1334.
Two of the most significant places of Astrakhan are Kremlin and State Opera and Ballet. Once a year they gets together to present opera and ballet on the unique natural open-air scene right inside of Astrakhan Kremlin.
In August, 2019, Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet performed the contemporary edition of Ruslan and Lyudmila, classical opera composed by Mikhail Glinka.

September, 25th, for the second time again I joined an expedition of Saint Petersburg bloggers in collaboration with Russian Geology Society to explore the natural water springs located in Leningrad Region (which is actually St Petersburg region as Leningrad is the name of the city during Soviet Times).
We were checking the water springs by GPS-locations which people sent to Russian Geology Society and were taking the probes in each spring for further expertise of Russian Geology laboratory.
After there's going to be a whole online map of water springs with exact GPS-locations and the main thing results of an expertise.

Середина апреля в этом году за городом все ещё снежная, так что наш небольшой поход с одной ночевкой получился достаточно мокрым! С другой стороны, очень красивые места при хорошей погоде с лихвой компенсировали все наши невзгоды.
Прошли около 17 км по маршруту Кузнечное - Бурнёво. Большая часть пути проходит по новому экомаршруту под названием Большая Ладожская тропа. Путь идет вдоль озера по очень красивому берегу. Скалы и камни, сменяющиеся песчаными пляжами. Летом правда много народу, но сейчас в середине весны нам никто не мешал, все стоянки пустые, так что насладились природой на все 100!
