Capturing Liktinon Falls in President Roxas, Capiz | KAPROBINSYA VLOG

Nakakasabik maligo. Sa unahan pa ay may ilan pang falls na pwede ring puntahan na mas maganda at mas mataas kaysa Liktinon.

CAPIZ TOURIST SPOTS (Written Version)

president roxas north cotabato (Philippines)

President Roxas is a 1sts municipality in the province of Cotabato, Philippines. According to LGMPS[2] (as of 2009), it has a population of 45,042 people in 9,012 households.

Tourist Attractions

TUAEL BIRD SANCTUARY HILL in Barangay tuael, which is three kilometers from the heart of the municipality. The sanctuary hill is the habitat of thousands of bird in different species. One of them is the well known Black Crown Heron (Nytocorax). The sire is crammed with nest drooping in the branches, grass and shrubs, and fledglings of different ages. These birds that continue to increase in number are believed to have migrated from the adjacent Asian countries. They possess distinctiveness by flying in a cadense, gracefully swinging and spreading their wings as if they are dancing on the air.
HILLSIDE SPRING RESORT (formerly Skyline Resort) - A resort located at the heart of President Roxas. Enjoy the tranquil, rustic setting and cool water of the pools coming right from the headwater of the mountain streams. It is one of the greatest endowments of nature.

BARANGAY POBLACION HOT SPRING - This seemingly amazing piece of nature looks like a big well that exudes heat even surrounded by fresh waters with hot water flowing from one end.
WINDING RIVER - The winding river of kabacan, apparently located in Barangay poblacion is ideal for rafting and tubing, with its water stemming from the foot of the majestic mount Apo came cascading, rushing and running down all the way to Liguasan Marsh. This river which was declared as the cleanest body of water in the province of Cotabato, has been the home of different water creatures.
MOUNTAIN RANGE OF GREENHILL - the best place where one can likely have mountain trekking, biking, hiking and jogging the place is on highest elevation of solid ground that overlooks the rice plants, coconut plantation and entire lower portion of the municipality, the place is perfect for sightseeing where surely you can enjoy the grandeur of its scenery.

Where to Stay in Roxas?

Where do you stay in Roxas? Good question :)
It's a little town with not many accommodation options. Mainly small guest houses and Air B&B found in the town. There is not a huge presence of tourists and we used the town as a one night stop over on our road trip. We manage to squeeze in Modessa Island which was a great day activity recommended to us by the locals. This video shows you an aerial view of the town and the accommodation offering of the Ocean Manor Inn.

ROUND TRIP | BEAUTIFUL PANAY CAPIZ | ROXAS CITY | MAAMLIZ CHANNEL

#panaycapiz #roxascity #roadtrip #wowtrees

The historic town of Panay, Capiz!

The town originally called Bamban but the early Spaniards changed it to Panay which means mouth of the river in accordance to its geographical location.

The Spaniards arrived in Bamban in 1566 and it became the second settlement of Spain in the country next to Cebu.

Miguel Lopez de Legazpi transferred the military settlement of Spain to Panay due to lack of food.

The town was formally founded in 1572 while Legazpi had moved the capital of Spanish Colonial Government in the Philippines further north to Manila.

Panay is a prosperous town due to trade thus it became the center of the northern part of the island for 2 centuries until the Spaniards moved their seat of government in Capiz town (now Roxas City) due to a better location for seaport.

The town's name Panay was eventually given to the whole island.

In the 18th century, Panay was famous for its textile industry which produced a cloth called suerte and exported to Europe.

In 19th century, Don Antonio Roxas, the grandfather of Pres. Manuel Roxas, opened one of the largest rum and wine distilleries in the town.

Panay is home to Sta. Monica Church which was first constructed in 1698 and underwent several reconstruction in 1774 and 1884. The church houses the biggest Catholic church bell in Asia which is made of 70 sacks of coins donated by townspeople. The church also faces the second oldest street in the Philippines called Calle Revolucion after Calle Colon of Cebu.

The town of Panay is truly the Heritage Capital of Capiz!

Vibrant Downtown Streets Of Roxas City @CityStreetsExplore

Downtown Roxas is the heart of the city and is home to a number of historical and cultural attractions, as well as a vibrant commercial district. The streets are lined with old Spanish colonial buildings, many of which are now used as government offices, businesses, and shops. The architecture in downtown Roxas is a mix of Spanish colonial and modern styles. Some of the most notable buildings include the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, the Provincial Capitol, and the Roxas City Hall.

The streets in downtown Roxas are narrow and cobblestoned, giving the area a charming old-world feel. The streets are also home to a number of public parks and gardens, which provide a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are also a number of restaurants and cafes in the area, where you can enjoy traditional Capiz cuisine.

Roxas City downtown is a vibrant and historic area that is home to many of the city's most important landmarks. The streets are lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes, and there is always something going on.

One of the most popular attractions in downtown Roxas is the Immaculate Conception Metropolitan Cathedral. This beautiful stone church was completed in 1876 and is a National Historical Landmark. The cathedral is a great example of Spanish-era architecture, and it is worth visiting for its stunning interior and exterior.

Another popular tourist destination in downtown Roxas is the Manuel Roxas Shrine. This museum is the ancestral home of the first president of the Republic of the Philippines, Manuel Roxas. The shrine is a great place to learn about Roxas's life and legacy, and it also houses a collection of historical artifacts.

In addition to these two major attractions, there are many other things to see and do in downtown Roxas. You can visit the Capiz Provincial Capitol, which is a neoclassical building that was completed in 1910. You can also explore the Roxas City Public Market, where you can find fresh produce, seafood, and souvenirs. And if you're looking for something to do in the evening, you can catch a show at the Roxas City Plaza.

Here @CityStreetsExplore we do Ride Tour and in this video we ride tour along the streets of Roxas City Downtown, COme and join me as we ride tour many places.

The Philippines (/ˈfɪlɪpiːnz/ (listen); Filipino: Pilipinas),[14] officially the Republic of the Philippines (Filipino: Republika ng Pilipinas),[e] is an archipelagic country in Southeast Asia. In the western Pacific Ocean, it consists of 7,641 islands which are broadly categorized in three main geographical divisions from north to south: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The Philippines is bounded by the South China Sea to the west, the Philippine Sea to the east, and the Celebes Sea to the southwest. It shares maritime borders with Taiwan to the north, Japan to the northeast, Palau to the east and southeast, Indonesia to the south, Malaysia to the southwest, Vietnam to the west, and China to the northwest. It is the world's thirteenth-most-populous country, with diverse ethnicities and cultures. Manila is the country's capital, and its largest city is Quezon City; both are within Metro Manila.

Negritos, the archipelago's earliest inhabitants, were followed by waves of Austronesian peoples. The adoption of animism, Hinduism and Islam established island-kingdoms known as kedatuan, rajahnates, and sultanates. The arrival of Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer leading a fleet for Spain, marked the beginning of Spanish colonization. In 1543, Spanish explorer Ruy López de Villalobos named the archipelago Las Islas Filipinas in honor of Philip II of Spain. Spanish settlement in Mexico, beginning in 1565, led to the Philippines becoming ruled by the Spanish Empire for more than 300 years.

Roxas City, officially the City of Roxas (Capiznon/Hiligaynon: Dakbanwa sang Roxas; Filipino: Lungsod ng Roxas), is a 3rd class component city and capital of the province of Capiz, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 179,292 people.

It is originally known as the Municipality of Capiz (from which the province derives its name), the area became a chartered city on May 12, 1951, and was renamed in honor of native Manuel Acuña Roxas, the fourth president of the Philippines and the first of the independent post-American Third Philippine Republic.

Roxas City is the center of education, trade, economic activities and logistics in Northern Panay.[5] The abundance of marine life makes Roxas City the Seafood Capital of the Philippines. It has received Cleanest and Greenest Component City in Western Visayas Award in the Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran (GPK) Cleanliness and Environmental contest. The Department of Health (DOH) awarded the city with the Red Orchid Award for being 100 percent tobacco-free.[6] It has also gained the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Seal of Good Housekeeping[7] and won the Best Police Station in the region by the Philippine National Police.

Seafood is any form of sea life regarded as food by humans, prominently including fish and shellfish. Shellfish include various species of molluscs (e.g. bivalve molluscs such as clams, oysters and mussels, and cephalopods such as octopus and squid), crustaceans (e.g. shrimp, crabs, and lobster), and echinoderms (e.g. sea cucumbers and sea urchins). Historically, marine mammals such as cetaceans (whales and dolphins) as well as seals have been eaten as food, though that happens to a lesser extent in modern times. Edible sea plants such as some seaweeds and microalgae are widely eaten as sea vegetables around the world, especially in Asia.

Seafood is an important source of (animal) protein in many diets around the world, especially in coastal areas. Semi-vegetarians who consume seafood as the only source of meat are said to adhere to pescetarianism.

The harvesting of wild seafood is usually known as fishing or hunting, while the cultivation and farming of seafood is known as aquaculture and fish farming (in the case of fish). Most of the seafood harvest is consumed by humans, but a significant proportion is used as fish food to farm other fish or rear farm animals. Some seafoods (i.e. kelp) are used as food for other plants (a fertilizer). In these ways, seafoods are used to produce further food for human consumption. Also, products such as fish oil, spirulina tablets, fish collagen, chitin are made from seafoods. Some seafood is fed to aquarium fish, or used to feed domestic pets such as cats. A small proportion is used in medicine, or is used industrially for nonfood purposes (e.g. leather).
