마지막 여정으로 모리셔스 중동부의 아름다운 해변도시 포스트 데 플락을 찾았다. 인구 약 만 명 정도의 작은 도시로 사탕수수 농사도 짓지만, 어업과 관광업이 주요 산업이다. 동부해안은 에메랄드 빛 바다로 유명하다. 그 덕에 고급 호텔과 리조트가 즐비하다. 한 리조트를 구경해본다. 하루 숙박비가 천만 원까지도 한다는 리조트 앞의 해변은 그야말로 그림이다. 세계적으로 인기 있는 신혼여행지라는 것을 실감하게 하는 풍경이다.

Flacq Market in Mauritius
Flacq market is the biggest open air market in Mauritius and houses vegetable and clothing vendors as well as a huge food court. We met a lot of tourists at the market which is encouraging for these small businesses and finally found ti puri.

East Coast Drive - Roche Noir to Post de Flacq
We start at Roche Noir on the east coast, home of caves (lava tunnels) including Cave Madame. The road is one of the prettiest and includes the famous windmills (aka massive scary wind turbines) and a drive through Bras d'Eau national forest. Then onto Poste de Flacq on a new road that would make a great rally stage.

Most expensive road in Mauritius
We drive on the most expensive road in Mauritius from the exclusive Saint Geran resort past the Resort to Love filming location and on to Belle Mare. We passed a few more resorts and end up on the surprisingly beautiful Palmar public beach.

Welcome to a very beautiful and relaxing place, the Mandir de Médines on the west coast of the island of Mauritius. This is a really big temple and even has live peacocks and an amphitheatre. There are beautifully decorated buildings and incredible works of art. Entry to the temple is free and really worth a visit. You can reach the temple by road from the village of Flic en Flac, or from the village of Bambous around the avenue of Flamboyan. There is plenty of parking.
Other popular places on the island of Mauritius: Port Louis, Tamarin, Le Morne, Chamarel, Casela Nature Parks, Black River Gorges National Park, Tamarind Falls, Grand Bassin Temple , Mauritius Postal Museum - blue and red mauritius stamp , China Town, La Vanille Nature Park and many waterfalls.
