Du coup, cela nous a donné envie de découvrir cette ville car il y a aussi un parking dédié mais sans services cette fois.

WALKING AROUND PORRENTRUY OLD TOWN IN SWITZERLAND I FOUND A PACK OF WEED ???? |Megishi Vlogs
The city of Porrentruy (Pruntrut in German) in the Jura is considered to be the cultural center of the region. The cityscape is dominated by the mighty medieval castle, which served as the residence of the prince bishops of Basel for 200 years.
Located near the French border, Porrentruy is the second largest city in Canton Jura. The Old Town, which has burgher houses in the Aaroque, Gothic and Neoclassical style, is well worth a visit. Large fountains such as the Samaritan Fountain (1564) and the Swiss Fountain (1518) are interspersed between the houses. The Porte de France, built in 1563, is a remnant of the medieval city fortifications.
The churches of Saint Pierre (14th century) and Saint Germain (13th century) house rare side altars and church treasures. The oldest part of the castle dates back to 1271. The castle towers above the city and was the residence of the prince bishops of Basel from 1527-1792..

Swiss Branch Railway stuck in history Porrentruy - Bonfol
On today’s trip, we will explore a wonderful old school standard gauge branch line in norther Switzerland, the CJ Porrentruy – Bonfol line, and enjoy the last days of their rolling stock of historic value, the RBDe 566 I, which paved the way for one of the most successful and widespread regional train generations in Switzerland, the RBDe 566 II NPZ.
The short branch line from Porrentruy to Bonfol opened born in 1901 as “Régional Porrentruy – Bonfol” (RPB) and got integrated in the Chemins de fer du Jura in 1944. Since then, it operates as a branch line that got lost in time after its last modernization in the 1950s.
But the planned projects on the line will soon change this.

Dieser kurze Wochenendtrip führt uns ins Schweizer Jura zum Gebiet rund um Delémont (Delsberg), Porrentruy (Pruntrut), St. Ursanne und Saignelégier. Die Folgen des Hochwassers der vergangenen Woche(n) sind immer noch spürbar, zumindest im Flachland. Rein zufällig entdecken wir auf der Suche nach einem Übernachtungsplatz das Maison de la Tête de Moine, ein Museum, das die Geschichte des berühmten Käses dokumentiert. Das genau sind diese ungeahnten Plätze, die wir erst entdecken, seitdem wir mit dem Van unterwegs sind.
Leider lässt uns das Wetter etwas im Stich .- meistens ist es trüb - und die Sonne sehen wir nur kurz am Sonntagmittag. Trotzdem war es schön, einfach raus zu kommen und im Van diese Tour zu unternehmen.

Delémont - The youngest canton capital in Switzerland
In this video we go for a walking tour in Delémont, the capital of the Canton of Jura. It is a city surrounded by nature. The old town with its vibrant mix of shops and restaurants invites you to take a stroll and relax.
Delémont lies between the cities of Basel and Biel/Bienne in the north-west of Switzerland, close to the border with France. The small historic town lies within the densely forested and hilly Jurassic landscape. Medieval buildings, picturesque house facades, beautiful fountains and inviting terraces form the townscape of the old town.
The youngest canton capital in Switzerland has a rich history as well as a charming old town. There are numerous historical buildings to discover, including the town hall, church of St. Marcel and the castle, the former summer residence of the Prince-Bishop of Basel. The two town gates to the medieval old town, the “Porte au Loup” and the “Porte de Porrentruy”, and parts of the former city wall are still in good condition. The squares in the old town are decorated with five monumental, Renaissance-style figure fountains dating back to the 16th century. The old town is also home to the Jurassic Museum of Art and History, which provides more information about the region with interactive exhibitions for all ages.
