LOCATE TRIULZI, ITALY | UNPACKING THE HYPE AROUND LOCATE DI TRIULZI

Locate di Triulzi, together with the nearby Pieve Emanuele and Carpiano , is the last town in the south / south-east area of the metropolitan city of Milan , in fact after it begins the province of Pavia along the former state road 412 that leads to Val Tidone , in the immediate Piacenza Apennines. The municipality, inserted in the South Milan Agricultural Park , has an altitude that varies between a maximum of 98 meters in the north and a minimum of 70 meters in the Valle delle Volpi , along the Southern Lambro ; Locate Triulzi in fact, as on the other hand Pieve Emanuele, holds the lowest elevation point in the entire province of Milan.

Places to see in ( Lido Di Camaiore - Italy )

Places to see in ( Lido Di Camaiore - Italy )

Camaiore is a city and comune of 32,513 inhabitants within the province of Lucca, Tuscany, central-western Italy. It stretches from the Apuan Alps to the east, to the plains and the coast of Versilia to the west. Camaiore is the largest municipality in Versilia and its territory has many different environments. It extends from the beach in Lido di Camaiore, to the peaks of the Apuan Alps including the peaks of Monte Prana, Mount Matanna and Mount Gabberi and passes through both high and low hills. The plains of caezzanese are also important, as they are known for the cultivation of flowers and the general growth of foliage. In addition to the lido’s promenade, there are also rolling hills with small crops of vitis and olives.

Camaiore is rich in water, especially ground water, which is continuously extracted for private use including gardens and greenhouses as well as being used by some adjacent municipalities for the replenishment of local reservoirs. In the summer of 2007 strong earthquakes were felt that, according to some experts, were due to the excessive pumping of groundwater. Earlier, in the mid-nineties, chasms formed which caused extensive damage including the collapse of some houses. Small rivers can be found throughout the area, which are fed by drainage water from the mountains. One of the more important rivers is the Lombricese that runs at the foot of Mount Gabberi, touching the nearby towns of Lombrici and joining another river, the Lucese, which comes down from the pass of the same name, arriving in the valley through Nocchi Marignana (Camaiore) areas and the lower part of Pieve di Camaiore up to Camaiore. From here onwards, it joins with the Lombricese to form the Camaiore river down to its mouth which is called Fosso dell'Abate. Throughout the territory there are ponds and small lakes which are fed from various sources. The coast of Lido di Camaiore is bathed by the Ligurian sea, which extends from Liguria to the promontory of Piombino and not the Tyrrhenian Sea as many mistakenly believe.

Camaiore has Roman origins, as it was the site of one of the largest Roman encampments near the city of Lucca and an important station along the Via Cassia. From this we find the origins of the name Campus Maior (Campo Maggiore). In the Middle Ages, the town grew considerably thanks to the old Francigena, which follows northwest from Lucca, towards the Lunigiana and Passo della Cisa, and on to 'Campo Maggiore’. The city represented the Twenty-seventh stage during the journey of Sigerico Canterbury, and was called Campmaior by the Archbishop of Canterbury. In 1226, the Luccans destroyed the remote hill fortress of Montecastrese, situated above Camaiore on the slopes of Mount Prana, and the survivors of this battle migrated down to the valley in Camaiore as it offered more protection against future city-state attacks

????????????????'???? ????????????????????????
The origins of the name are identified from the reference, around the 10th century, to *Caro*, a French monk of the Casauriense abbey, a blood relative of the emperor Ludwig II; it comes from Caro Monaco (Dear Monk) hence - Caramanico.

Beyond the legends, the origin is linked to the Lombard Arimannia, a settlement of soldiers of a strategic nature (hypothetical Latinized name Harimannicum).

???????????????????? ????????????????????????????
The presence of human settlements on the territory dates back to the Paleolithic. The settlements, in later times, moved to the bottom of the valley, where we find traces of an Italic settlement that continued until late ancient and medieval times.

The current nucleus must have developed during the barbarian invasions, as evidenced by the probably Lombard origin of the name. We find traces of the parish church of Santa Maria around the year 1000, while from the same appears, in the 13th century, mention of the church of San Tommaso.

In the *Chronicon Casauriense* the wording putrid waters appears, the first reference to the presence of sulphurous waters in the area. The story of Caramanico then follows the events of the Kingdom of the two Sicilies, as a fief of the D'Aquino family. It suffered extensive damage in the 1706 earthquake.

The construction of the historic buildings dates back to the following years. To underline the importance assumed over..........

Milan / Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II / Performances on the square Duomo / Walking / Part 2

Milan is one of the largest and most economically developed cities in Italy, which is the administrative center of the province of Lombardy, located in the north of the country

Monument visits: Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) The symbol of the city is located in Piazza del Duomo, the historical center and is the best starting point for a walk around Milan.

The construction of the Milan Cathedral, which began in 1386, took almost 500 years. It was completed by order of Napoleon Bonaparte, who certainly wanted to be crowned here as King of Italy, which was realized on May 20, 1805.

This architectural marvel is the third largest cathedral in Europe, after St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome and the Cathedral of Seville.
The possibility of access to the roof of the cathedral. From there, the view of Milan is breathtaking, in clear weather you can even see the Alps! You can get there either by stairs or by elevator. The second option is a little more expensive: 12 euros instead of 7 euros for the first one.

Not far from the cathedral, in Piazza del Duomo, you can visit Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, another main attraction of Milan and is on the list of must-see in Milan.

The place is very photogenic and bright, with magnificent arches and an impressive dome made of glass and iron. The gallery is considered one of the most beautiful and impressive in Europe. It is here that the legendary 7-star hotel, the only one of its kind in Milan, is located.

Interesting fact: in the middle of the gallery, on the floor there is a tiled bull figurine, in connection with which there is a legend: you need to make a wish and turn around three times on your own axis on the left heel, putting it on the bull's eggs!

The most famous church in Milan, Santa Maria delle Grazie, is known for the fact that it houses one of the most famous masterpieces ever created by man - the fresco of the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci.

Places to see in ( Montalcino - Italy ) Castelnuovo dell'Abate

Places to see in ( Montalcino - Italy ) Castelnuovo dell'Abate

Castelnuovo dell'Abate is a fraction of the Italian town of Montalcino , in the province of Siena , in Tuscany. According to Emanuele Repetti , the etymology of Castelnuovo dell'Abate derives from the fact that it had arisen in place of an older castle (hence the suffix -nuovo) and from the influence and domination that for a long time had on it is the abbots of the nearby abbey of Sant'Antimo .

Not far from Castelnuovo Abbot were found by Ferrante Rittatore Vonwiller in the quarry, down the so-called hole Antimo, a vase dating back to the ' Bronze Age , dating to the third millennium BC and human remains contemporary stripped to the bone from the fire of two individuals, testimony of a human presence on the territory in pre-Etruscan times.

Castelnuovo dell'Abate was born as a possession of the abbey of Sant'Antimo (which had its period of maximum splendor between the eleventh and twelfth centuries , with wide jurisdiction over churches and surrounding territories ) on one of the three high hills that surround the valley of the river Starcia, a tributary of the Orcia . It became a castle presumably around 1210 , already in the middle of the same century it was subjected to the Republic of Siena and then, from the beginning of the following century, also to the abbey and the Tolomei family ; the community, which in 1320it had a territory of 1 996.2 ha and a population of about 1 000 inhabitants, was governed by a podestà and probably also had its own statute, lost. In 1360 the city walls were rebuilt , partly financed by the Sienese Republic .

The parish church of Saints Philip and James is the main place of worship in the village and stands in the town center, on the square . It received the title of pieve from the ancient church dedicated to St. John the Baptist , located south of the village, documented since the eighth century and was probably destroyed in the first half of the fourteenth century .

Bellanti Palace is also located along Via Borgo di Mezzo, next to the Palazzo dei Vescovi. Built by the abbots of Sant'Antimo and already existing in 1412 , it was radically restored by Fabio de 'Vecchi, bishop of Montalcino from 1664 to 1688 . The building is characterized by a brick facade, divided horizontally by cornices in local stone : in the lower part there is a door with a rusticated corniceand two windows; in the median one, corresponding to the main floor, there are five large rectangular windows also bordered in stone; the upper band, on the other hand, has as many square windows.

The Sant'Antimo abbey is the most important monument of the village and rises in the valley north of the inhabited center, in the valley of the Starcia. According to legend it was founded by Charlemagne himself , and in 814 a conspicuous donation was documented by Ludovico il Pio ; to this initial phase belong the ancient church with a single nave, then used as a sacristy and decorated in the fourteenth century with monochrome frescoes with scenes from the life of St. Benedict , and the walls of the chapter house, the only remains of the monastic complex.
