We devoured a scrumptious seafood paella at Citrus & Vine, inhaled San Remo Fishermans Co-op famous fish and chips, and fell into a food coma at Cheeky Goose Cafe after chowing down their famous fried chicken and slow-cooked ribs.

On today's adventure, we go to Phillip Island. Once home to the Yallok Bulluk people of the Bunurong/Boonwurrung clan, Phillip Island was once called 'Millowl'. The people of this indigenous clan would come in the summer months to look for shellfish, fish, small marsupials and mutton birds. European settlements came in the early 1800s as the island was abundant in wildlife. Visitors and guests became the main economy of Phillip Island in the 1880s where visitors hired horse drawn carriages to see the many scenic ocean beaches.

The penguin beach - one of Phillip Island's main attractions is the penguins which come up at Summerlands beach at sunset. A few of us had seen them before, so we decided to give it a miss, but definitely recommend it.
